It only takes one purchase of $2 or more to maintain the 35% (or the 25% if that is your max) because of the first punch being given by Daz.

Ok cool. I'm back down to 10% from 35%. So just one purchase of $2 or more should catapult me back up to 35% - bypassing the illusive 20%.

Yes, the presentation is confusing but, at least for most of us, it's either 10% or the maximum (25% or 35%, as the case may be).

I'm confused. My punch card went from the max (35%) this morning back down to the minimum (10%) this evening.

I assume it is because I am not buying new things every day?

If that's the case... well for heaven's sake! Since when do punch cards "unpunch" themselves?

(edit: it's frustrating, that's all I will say. no, I will add that Daz will get a lot less from me this December because of this sort of thing)

You get one punch for each of the immediately previous three days on which you made at least one qualifying purchase. On how many of the preceeding three days (by Daz time - MST) had you made a purchase (over $2, buying a Gift Crad doesn't count though using oen to pay for the order is fine)?

Respectfully, no you don't. Many others have pointed out that if you get to three punches and miss a day, it goes down to one. But if you make another purchase it goes back to three. I understand that it should work the way you are describing, but it is broken and seems like it was from the start. Personally hoping this is a sign to DAZ not to try something like this in the future. The black Friday punches seemed to work though, maybe like Valve they can get to two but can't handle three of something.

That indicates an oddity, it doesn't indicate what the oddity is. What i keep asking people who drop to one punch is whether they purchased on one or two of the previous three days (Daz time). So far no one has come back to say two, with details I can send to Daz for checking.

I purchased on all days of the holiday except for yesterday and my punch card went from 35% back to 10%. Any additional info you might need id be happy to provide.

Do the prices of bundles always factor in the content you own from them? Or is that just whenever it's identified in the sale?

  • evacyn said:

No, it is only when there is a special sale that states "Get the bundle for just the price of unowned items"

That is the correct behaviour. The punches look as if it is three days, but in fact it is just the previous day that counts (as the text says).

While the free snow globe is much appreciated, it seems a bit brazen of DAZ to release a free one on the same day they release one for sale. I hope it doesn't hurt the sale of the one for purchase.

I thought that was poor timing as well

Just saying that if you walk into a Starbucks, and their punch card worked the way this one does, you'd walk right back out and say "screw that, I'm protest not buying".

"(as the text says)"?????  There is no text on the sale page that says "it is just the previous day that counts". Richard, that is an interpretation of what the actual text says. The actual words are "Purchase daily to stack your Holiday Loyalty Discount and earn a VIP bonus". "Purchase daily" means buy something every day. "Purchase daily" does not specify how many days in a row you have to buy something to reach the maximum discount. The graphic implies multiple days, not one. In the past, we had a punch sale where we had to "purchase daily" for 7 days in a row to reach the maximum discount. I understand that your  interpretation of the sales page text is the way the sale actually works this time, but I disagree that anything on the sales page clearly describes that behavior. You have conceded that the graphic is misleading. You have had to address these same issues over and over in the forum since the sale started. Thank goodness you have the patience to do that. Adding "(as the text says)" seems dismissive of legitimate customer confusion, due to the fact that the text doesn't actually say that. If it did, it would be better for all of us.

Why won't Daz change the sale page to clearly state the sale behavior, as you have done here? It seems like is a disservice to that majority of customers who don't use the forum, to only clarify things in the forum.

Seems we have another un-coordinated release. https://www.daz3d.com/espresso-machine--blue-angel refers to an environment that is not (yet) avaialable.

"L'Espresso Machine, a classic coffee maker. Espresso Machine - Blue Angel is the perfect companion for the London Cafe."

Try Ctrl+F5 on Windows for a hard/forced refresh

I'm even more confused by the "From the retrofuturistic series BLUE ANGEL, with books and animations." part, as googling for that turned out that it's a copyrighted Podcast-ish thingy on Amazon Prime (at least if I understand that portuguese texts right) which leads to the question if using that asset from that series is possible and for what type of use?!?

By all appearances it looks like a vintage 1930 Espresso machine

Whats weird is, it will now do one of 3 things whenever i refresh:

    1 - show new items

2 - not show any new items from today

3 - show today items for 2 seconds and then hide all of them

Will try to clear page cache... (*Edit* Nope still occuring)

Likewise. The Carrara version pops up in DIM, but the Daz version had to be downloaded manually. The first two attempts to install it, the "installing" bar animation thing happened, then blank, and didn't show in the installed items. Refresh, it pops beack up again. Finally installed on the third go.

I wasn't ingended to be dismissive, just to acknowledge that the text does say purchase daily so it is a legitimate reading to say it loses discount if a day is missed. I do understand the confusion, having been confused myself.
