The terrain was made from the photo of a cloud and given Subplateaus in the TE. The material is a combination from Gritstone Hills and Landscapes under Fantastic Skies. The tower is the Pointed Thingy by David Brinnen. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from Gritstone Hills. Additional clouds from Object Clouds 2D & 3D and the key light by the sun.

    Beautiful realistic landscape Horo.

The terrain and materials are from David’s DTE Terrains and a modified Bryce preset sky.

Time to show some more traditional renders, i.e. landscapes.

First two are (modified) versions of example a10 of Grand Mountains. Next one is a version of the Gritstone Hills, followed by a Haze and Sea example from Inclement weather. The final two are made by combining two outputs from World Machine Basics. I used different skies, usually including IBL from the sky or from the Fantasic skies.

Bunyip02 - four different and very well done scenes: the coast, the objects, the underwater and the abstract. I can't say which one I like best, they all look just great.

    Mermaid, Horo, Bunyip02, thank you.

Mermaid, lovely colours in your alien terrain render.

Bunyip02, Four wonderful renders. Great sea with foam, very nice metalic objects and fun abstract. But I like the underwater scene even more.

Bunyip02 -  very nice set of renders using the different sets, all are beautifully done; except for the still I find the object on the right is floating, maybe you intended that, despite that it's a nice render too.

    Hansmar thanks

    Horo - Thanks !

    Hansmar - Thanks !

Mermaid - Thanks ! Went for the raised knick-nack to get the reflection of the bottom, if I did the scene again I would probably go for an angled above view.
