I was sorry to hear about Draagonstorm. I know it has to be especially rough on you and other PAs who worked closely with her. As Redz says, take care of yourself.
May I know how is this different from the other skin merchant resources for Genesis 3 that I've seen in the daz store? Or if you just manually export the skin map to photoshop and edit it? And do these have presets that are only available on this product?
Its totally different. It creates the skin on the character. You choose everything from the subsurface color to the diffuse color, make up eye color etc etc etc. It has unlimited potential. I've used the one for Genesis 2 to create everything from a very blue black skin to purple to pale to almost white. Its a hugely useful tool and honestly, I don't ever need to purchase another character for the skin again. Although, I still do because people have different ideas than I do lol
Thanks for the reply! Can't you also change the skin color using photoshop? and Basically everything if you edit the skin map in photoshop? The subsurface is the colors beneath the skin right? That I'm not sure if it can be edited in photoshop haha
You probably could, I think a lot of merchant resources are modified in Photo shop. However, I think it takes very very good photoshop skills as well of very good photo references. Skin builder does all the work for you. Worth every penny and then some
Yes. The aim of Skinbuilder is to let people do these things inside of Studio as a lot of people do not really use Photoshop. There will be PSD files (Once those are ready) included for those who want to do the Photoshop\Gimp route as well.
I was so saddened to hear about Draagonstorm. Dont rush on this, take some time for yourself to mourn before diving back in. My sympathies to you and her family and friends.
I have no choice but to get it out lol. This is month 3 with no release, and it does impact your finances lol.
Yes I would imagine it does! My husband is self employed and its basically, if you don't work you don't eat, so I totally get that. I know that every time I use one of the products that she had a hand in I will be thinking of her so in a way, she will still be around. Same thing with SAV's products, every time I use one of her amazing hairs, I think of her and appreciate the beauty that she brought to the 3d art world. Not a bad legacy at all...
Im sure Draagonstorm would definitly be glad your keeping up the great work, excited to see what awesome stuff you put out next year, Im sure shes super proud of you :D
I'm so sorry to hear about Draagonstorm. I haven't really got the words, but her personality and talent will definitely be missed around here. I use her products all the time, especially the mask and multipass toolbox. Take care of yourself, Zev0. What awful news.
I believe skin builder will be great for building "skins" not doing the makeup ...at least that's what the one for Genesis 2 does
Ooops let me rephrase the pro bundle for Genesis and Genesis2 included the instant makeup ...........but the basic didn't ...so I'll just be quiet now an go sit in the corner
Production on Skinbuilder 3 continues...This product was the last thing Draagonstorm and myself was working on, so it will be finished in her memory, no matter how long it takes...
When you copy - paste a link into the DAZ forums the forum SW usually appends 1 - 2 spaces at the end of the URL, making it a broken link.
If you copy and paste a link straight into the typing panel it will not display correctly. If you use the rich text tools, and use the link tool (that is the icon which looks like a link on the same panel up there^ as the flag icon) then the link displays correctly
I can't be the only one who's been checking this thread for updates on a regular basis since the start of the year.
Please keep in mind that our dear Draagonstorm, who was the original scripter on this project, passed away recently. Zev0 has new partner on this and they are working on getting this out; it hasn't been that long since this change in situation.

Yes, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was pressuring, just how keen I am to know as soon as there are any updates. Zev0 should take as long as they need, but however long that is, I'm still going to be excited for it.
Yeah, I keep checking too. I'm good with waiting as work is slow for me and I'm in hock already. I am going to work with G3F for forever, I swear. I've told my husband who I'm in debt to I'm diving deeper in debt the second this comes out. I love that we can use it like a merchant resource as well this time. Starting in April, I'll be getting lots of work for a couple of months then I'll crawl back out of the hole. It seems like it has taken me forever to get clothing working and morphs etc for G3F. I have the other skin set for G3F and have really loved working with it while I wait. So I can do stuff while waiting to spend more money.....
Hi guys. I will have previews and product info soon. We just busy finalizing the settings etc. We making sure that the added script features work well on other skin sets besides the base sets that come with SkinBuilder3. So there is a of a lot of testing going on. Everytime we think something is fine something else breaks lol. Basically the scripts have to work under different shader setups, in iray and 3dl, for the products skins and any others. But we sorted out the main gremlins. I've spent nearly 6 months on this thing now...It's starting to cost me money lol. It needs to get out. As far as a release date, it will go into testing this month, but I doubt it will make March Madness:( But this version has some cool new features, and soon I will share them with you. I thank you all for your patience.

Good thinking; Draagonstorm would want it to be completed.

I am very sorry to hear about Draagonstorm.
Perhaps Dimension3D or V3Digitimes could help you to complete Skin Builder.
Already have somebody who is taking over.

Will this product when it's released be able to add easily such things as blue eyeshadow for Toon Generations 2 characters (they are Genesis 3 based)?
This will work http://www.daz3d.com/instant-makeup-for-genesis-3-female for any color eyeshadow you want
Thanks. I will try that if Skin Builder can't do that.

Ok, more money than that I'll need to spend. Thanks
Hmm. that's coming up as a 404 for some reason. this seems to work: http://www.daz3d.com/instant-makeup-for-genesis-3-female

What!
Damn, Zev0, sorry to hear about this.

Any news regarding the release date?
No date set yet. Still in production. Nearly at the finish line.
I am so happy to hear this will be completed. I believe it is a beautiful tribute to DraagonStorm. I eagerly await it.
I'm excited for this product. Can't wait to see some promo pics!
