Well technically you are just supposed to have the figure present when building the skin, no additional items. It is possible those items are causing some confusion somewhere.
....as you mentioned that it worked on characters which already had hair and clothing applied and it didn't select anything else before completing the task so I'm wondering if having the gens applied is causing the issue. When I unparent all clothing and hair it works fine.
...just ran a test on another character myself that didn't have the gens installed but did have hair and clothing and yes it completed the task with no hang-ups. When it happens it seems to get caught in a perpetual loop which requires bailing out of the process and Daz programme, then having to use Windows Task Manager to clear Daz out of system memory.
I rarely do nudes and Skin Builder has been my go to utility for creating skins as it has saved me a tonne of money on having to purchase a large stable of characters just for the different skin qualities.
Hi, I run into a strange Problem, after a complete Reinstallation of my DAZ Programm. When i try to execute Skin Builder I get this Error Message
(and yes I'm aware that Libraray is not the correct Word, but I'm not a English Native so please excuse me there :D )
The strange thing is, the Preview on the Skin Tab is Empty, see Attached file therefore. I tried just to add An Overlay, get the same error.
Any Idea how to fix that? Sorry if the question is already asked :)
Are you saving the created skins as a material preset or just saving the scene? The skins have to be saved via script otherwise it will rely on maps in temp folder which will be overwritten as they are not permanent.
Create skin, save skin, load the saved skin preset back on character, this will swap out the temp files. Then you should be all good.
Hey. Sorry i guess I was unclear. The Skin Builder in itself won't load the basic Skin. As if the Program don't know where to find the Folder "Skins" from where it will work in the First place. I already reach out to the Technical Help, cause my Whole DAZ Prorgamm is does work wonky, after I had to do an Emergency Re-Installation of everything (HDD crash), and I guess something went wrong in that Progress.
Is there a way to adjust the nipple color to be lighter? no matter what I've tried they only get darker. Other than that, this has been one of the most used plugins I have in my arsenal.

Confirmed. Issue is with Clothing/Hair and Gens on at same time.

Thanks for the assistance..
You're welcome.

Under settings tab, Is your path for temp files mapped?
Yes it is. I created Folder after reading the Error Message. I tried to choose the folder Skin just for testing, but so far no result :/
