I am a novice with DAZ Studio - having used Poser for over 10 years - and I don't pretend to understand all you just said. It looks to me like I am set up to use glossy layered weight (slider set to 0.25). I tried messing with my settings but didn't fix the problem...
No, it happens with all of them. That isn't suprising since I built all of my custom characters' surfaces from the same template, just changed the texture files.
It works on V7. So, with that, I used the V7 iRay surface as a new template and switched to my character's textures. It works fine now! Thanks. As you said, something was wonky with my surfaces, still don't know what it was but at least I can fix it now.
Stupid question warning, if I like a skin texture for G3F that I made with this, am I not allowed to somehow convert it to V4 or other non genesis figure? I have a lot of V4 makeup merchant resources and a lot of V4 clothing. Or I would like to use a more modern texture on A3? Or other reasons I might want to have same texture for other non G3F figure? Or can I but only for personal use?
Or is it better to convert all my makeups and outfits from Victoria 4 to G3F?
You can convert to any UV as long as it is for personal use. But for selling skins using SKinBuilder, it must remain for Genesis 3 Female, and on base UV.

Another stupid question, if I convert the texture to Miss 3D Model, can I use her and her new textures in a commercial render for example a comic book for sale.
gotta go as I think it started to rain and I do not want to get my iPad wet.
Okay, stupid question, where are the presets I just saved for G3F? I found the jpgs but I thought I made the skin blue but it saved the files as almost completely natural other than the yellow over lay?
What are the rights for distributing the textures? Are we allowed to? non-freebie products? or freebies okay? what about sending files to potential beta testers.
I'm a new purchaser and I have an issue I hope you can help with.
Adjusting the nipples coloration extends the adjustment beyond the nipples on the texture. Am I doing something wrong or is there a fix I need to apply?
I've attached a sample render with a clashing color to illustrate the issue.
Hello. The nipple overlay included is only designed for SkinBuilder skin textures. It is part of the skin building process after the base skin has been finalized. You can replace that nipple mask SkinBuilder uses with one of your own that matches the scale of the nipples on the texture you are using. I did try a universal solution but nipples on skins that people create vary in size. If you have a image editor like gimp or photoshop you can adjust the masks to match the nipples on your skin. The nipple masks can be located in your content library under runtime/textures/skinbuilderG3FMR. Just make sure both the .jpg and .png use the same size masks.

I'm using your base skin. The script doesn't seem to be using the NippleMask.
That is not a Skin Builder base skin. Did you build a skin inside Skin Builder before applying a nipple mask? That skin you showed looks like the default skin on Genesis 3 Female.
..question, can the brow function from SBP3 be used with the Growing Up Skins for G3? The Brow creator with those uses the LIE which is slower to load than the brows created with SBP3.
It can. Brows from SB3 can work on any skin on the base UV. However some of the brow designs from Growing Up skins arent present in SB3, so all depends what one you want to use.
... Thanks. I also have Real Brows as well. Had issues with LIE not loading properly or very slowly even after a character was saved. The nice part is I don't have to remove any existing brows like I do with other skins.
Been looking at this as the bundle on sale today and I use Growing Up for both genders quite a bit as I have a number of younger characters in my storylines.
Though OT here, I have to say Growing Up was one of the best morph sets ever. I used to remember the months (years?) of research and experimentation attempring to create younger characters back in the Gen4 and even early Genesis days.
BTW does also looking at Angenessis 2. Will that work on skins created in SBP3 to add pores & such?
hmmm regarding Angenesis 2 I don't know how SB3 overlays will work with that shader as it bakes some layers. I will have to do some tests to see if SB3 will work with that skin setup.
Did a test. Looks like it is compatible because Angenesis just edits the texture maps in assigned channels doesnt move maps around, so it's all good. SB3 relies on certain maps to be present in certain channels for the scripts to work. The results however arent as vibrant as they should be so you might have to apply the same overlay details more than once. Maybe its best to apply SB3 to your skin, then run Angenesis.
It might be a stupid question or already answered. How do I export the textures to work on to make them my own? The method I tried saved the texture without the tint I applied.

Does the bush apply on other skin sets or is it only dissapearing on that skin?
No, it happens with all of them. That isn't suprising since I built all of my custom characters' surfaces from the same template, just changed the texture files.
OK my question was if you used for example victoria 7 skin or another character skin with their shaders, does it apply, not just to your template.

Ah ok good. Had a suspicion it was the shader. Glad you sorted.

2D media is fine. As long as it is not 3d content being sold.

No freebies allowed. Sending files to beta testers is ok, but really, the store you are submitting to should be your testers.

No Problem. Thanks for the support.

Hello, I purchased SB3 and liked it very much.
However, here is a quiestion.
Overlay => Tanlines doesn't support genitalia textures?
The very part of my figure looks different color from other parts after applying Tanlines.
It might be a stupid question or already answered. How do I export the textures to work on to make them my own? The method I tried saved the texture without the tint I applied.
