Will there be a Genesis 8 female add-on so I can use G8F with this?   Currently it does not let me run it with Genesis 8 Female but guess I can make it with Genesis 3 female and save it to put it on Genesis 8 Female.

There will be an official G8F version. You can use the current version on G8F for personal use.

I am trying this out.   How do I edit it after I save?

Can you be more specific? Once saved the results cannot be undone as the texture layers are baked. You will have to do that in Photoshop or Gimp.

Okay I guess part of the issue is that my computer is not powerful enough.  Hopefully I can get that other computer in a week or two from now.

What layer are the veins placed on? How do I make them more visible?

Just apply it twice if you want it strong, otherwise you can find the source textures in your runtime\textures\SkinbuilderG3FMR\Overlay Details\Veins

Update: just found an earlier post about this problem and the possible solution (use external monitor and resize), since apparently there's no way to resize the script window. Will update again after trying.

    Hello,

I finally got a chance to play with Skin Builder 3, but I've encountered an odd problem. The script window is too big (tall) for my laptop monitor--I can't access, for example, any way to uncheck the "Use Iray Settings" box. When I try to move the window down so I can grab the corner and shrink the window it snaps back up to the top. I'm on a Macbook Pro 13". Any suggestions for how to unlock the top snap or shrink the script window so I can reach the bottom? I tried changing the resolution, but there are only three options and none were helpful.

    :-)

    Nicole

Iwas gonna mention go to pages 17 & 1 someone else had a similar issue ,or try lowering your screen resolution ,then uncheck the use Iray box ,then go back to the higher scren resolution

  • @Carrie58, yup, that's what I did. Used an external monitor that wanted 13-something as resolution but scalied it to 1080. I was able to view the whole script window and uncheck the "Use Iray Settings" box. That's the only thing I couldn't see, and after I did it once, it seems to remain unchecked.

Yay! I was going to be very sad if I couldn't get it to work.

    :-D

I don't have skin builder. But I heard there are many people who can't use it because the window is too big and goes off screen. So I just want to help. See the link below for an easy solution. It is a quick mouse manager that allows windows to be dragged off screen the same as linux. It doesn't even need to be installed.

Also, in my opinion, the required screen resolution should be mentioned in the product page. Since I heard that even a full-hd is not enough so this is not normal at all.

Padone actually the window is fine ,unless like alot of us you have the screen resolution set to larger due to poor vision ....... the trick s to put the screen to regular/normal resolution long enough to turn the Iray off if you don't want to use Iray ..... then go back to what you are comfortable with seeing

  • In Skin Builder 3 for G3F, why won't the genital hair apply to the G3F genitalia?

  • Is there a thread for Skin Builder 3 that illustrates how to create skin texture for Genesis 3 Female Anatomy???

  • Im understanding that there wont be a version of this product for males.... BUMMER!  how difficult would it be to use one of the earlier simple overlay products to at least get a start on G3m and later male skins?

Because the Hair PNG images caused seam issues when converted onto the genitals. They do work on 3rd party gens which make use of the torso map.

Load the anatomy on the figure before using Skinbuilder. Make sure the figure is selected and it will build skin for both figure and anatomy.

This was designed to be a female product only. If that status ever changes, I will notify via a thread.

Hello! I would like to know if i can create a character with this skin builder and then sell the character in other pages without problems? Thanks!

You can, but ONLY for Genesis 3 Female based characters. IF character is paired with Genesis 8 Female version then fine ( EG Clarice for G3F and G8F, where Genesis 3 version is present, and uses the skin from there). But If I see it on a Genesis 8 only character for sale, product will be removed.

oh ok! so if I understand correctly, I load  Genesis 3 Female and use SB with her textures, I make all the changes and save it for Genesis 3 Female, then to make it for Genesis 8 female, I load her, I load the same modified textures on her and then I create the presents? could I sell that as * "character name" for G3F and G8F? or just "character name" for G3F and in the description say that it contains presents for G8F?

Yes. You will of course have to transfer your G3F character shape as well to G8F. No skin only preset allowed.

could I sell that as * "character name" for G3F and G8F? or just "character name" for G3F and in the description say that it contains presents for G8F?

    Either one is fine.

In regards to gen hair not applying to anatomical elements, Thanks for the response. I hope there will be an update to fix the seam issues.

I'm getting this error when I press the button to create the anatomy preset: "No anatomy loaded, unable to save anatomy preset!"

The anatomy is loaded, and Genesis 3 selected before launching the script.  Daz 4.10 on a Mac. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

What Mac OS? Just tested and all is working fine on my side. Can you send a screenshot of your utilities/save skins and materials?

Hi Zev0, I've rebooted the machine and everything's working ok now. I'm on 10.13.2 Beta, and should have thought to reboot before posting - sorry about that.

This is a fantastic resource, I'm loving it :)
