Not in the actual beauty pass render. I'd put that stuff in during post. I should have added some to this shot too... but like I say in the description of the video, my Laptop is horrible for VFX work - and that's what I used. Anything that requires RAM or CPU... forget it. I notice all kinds of horrible things in that video, but it was just a fun thing :)

They're all very cute, and I really like your new reallism render process. I've started monkeying around with adopting some of the methods you've been teaching, but cannot remember most of it enough to actually go to that style just yet - but in the process am finding some interesting things about rendering reallism in Carrara - quickly.
thanks Dan, I'm the only one here to believe in carrara engine as a viable solution for realistic animations, not as complete as others but enough plenty of features to be successfull

That is surely not true - I have done many animations in Carrara's native engine and I am sure that Dart, Wendy and others feel that way too.
