In this case probably because it's a fairly old product (before the third generation figures, as I recall).

    ...Carrara 9?????

Sheesh, they still haven't got the bugs worked out of Daz 4.5 or this bloody website (after nine months), and they're announcing the release of Carrara 9?

It's pretty ridiculous. I'd *pay* for an upgrade that actually eliminated a lot of bugs and added 1-2 new USEFUL features, but.. well.. meh.

I an do what I need to do for my Website stuff (logos, cheap text animation, etc.), and with some plugins I can dink around with VFX, but.. honestly.. "needs some work". :-S

I really need to bite the bullet and get Lightwave, use InterPoser, and be done with it. Hope can't spring eternal for much longer. :blank:

so I was writing an email to ask someone to delete my artwork from their website when I noticed that today is February 27. really, it is almost March already? I thought Presidents day was yesterday. at least warmer weather is coming. oh, and i am still playing with Vue. I've been meaning to upload a render but I'm having issues with the atmospheric models. maybe I'll post a render in another sub-forum.

Complaint! Due to busted foot, lunch is chili from a can. :blank: Meh, could be worse, but damn I'd kill for a BURGER MADE WITH CHEESE! :ahhh: Oh, and my bloody stupid cell phone keypad has flaked out, so I need a new cell phone. :blank:

Non-complaint: All moving arrangements completed and confirmed. Talked to the nice residence inn lady and she said that staying past the 2 weeks is simple, just come down and tell them and pay for the next week! She said yeah, lots of people do it, and my circumstance apparently isn't that unusual.

This means I can take my time finding a place, and not stress about how long I stay. The residence inn actually costs less than what I was paying for my studio apartment in Sunnyvale (lol) so if I get stuck there for a long time, it's not going to stop me from saving up moving money or loading up the prepaid credit card. :)

Tomorrow will be insane! Get up, eat, go to the bank when it opens, go to Walmart and throw a massive payment on the card, come in to work, work work work, get a cab to the new place, check in (between 3:00pm and 6:00pm), get a cab to the old place, final packing, call a cab AGAIN, cab to the new place, set up computer, make sure I'm online, set up alarm clock, fall in bed asleep. :bug: :ahhh:

Tonight is final laundry and the last bit of non-critical packing. I'll bring a backpack load of stuff into the office tomorrow to drop off at the new place, leaving it empty for the computer/mouse/mouse pad/headphones.

I plan on spending the entire bloody weekend in bed, watching TV, or on the computer.. maybe a trip to the BBQ place to check it out, and maybe Jack in the Box for a BURGER MADE WITH CHEESE!

Thanks! :) It should work out well, although there are some downsides:

    - Bus doesn't run late so staying out means adding cab fare
    - Small desk in room means only 1 laptop out at a time
    - Modest bus trip to grocery store
    - Only 2 places to eat in walking distance and one is a Jack In The Box
    - Laundry is coin-operated

None of these are too painful. It'd be nice if I had everything I had now, but.. oh well. Gotta roll with the changes! :)

It looks like the seals will outlast them, though, at the rate the polar cap is melting. The other day I heard that they are starting to mate with brown bears, something they haven't done since the last ice age.

Jack In the Box? I haven't seen one of those for a few decades! I thought they were all gone!

Do you have some kind of cooking ability in the Inn? Home cooking is better for you than all that dine-out food anyway.

There's a two-burner stove-top and a microwave.. good enough for basics. I'm not planning on gourmet cooking, and will likely try to eat out at healthier places as time goes on, but for now having access to quik-n-easy food is critical.

Turns out there's a Whataburger nearby and a Valero convenience store very close, so there are two more options. :)

I'm holding out for enough money (someday) to get their highest end DSLR, the one that has a chip that is equal to a 35mm negative in size. I can't remember if it's something like 18 megapixels or maybe 22. Of course, what I'd really like to have is the digital Hasselblad...but that costs as much as a Camry XLE! :bug:

Also, BJ's wholesale carries a Fuji that has 14 megapixels and something like 30X optical zoom...much better than that Canon. And it costs considerably less. You don't want to use the digital zoom, it gets blocky, like low end digital photos look these days, very blocky pixels. That's why you want the best optical zoom you can get.
