A classic example of technologies becoming cheaper and widely available and reframing a market. Just goes to show you need more than process-oriented button-pushing type skills, there is plenty of work around for people who can make creative decisions (and get them right) as well ;)

Oooo...peeps! Yes, actually I already saw some at the market the other day. I love them...but they are so sugary! Really not good for you. I usually get at least one little package of them around Easter some time anyway.

...well today begins the end of an era where I've worked for the last almost eighteen years now. At noon, we received the last order transmission from the client that is leaving. Now in the packing up to ship the remainder of the stock to the facility back east phase, close the final billing and that will be it. Been talking with my supervisor and she too isn't sure what will happen. This client brought a lot of stability to the company. Work was always steady, no ups or downs. Built good, solid working relationships with several of their people over the years particularly with their printing division manager.

In a couple days it will be all over,

    Gonna miss them.

After that the needles & pins time for those of us who have been involves with them as we have no idea of where, or even if, there is a place for us with the company.

    ...guess I'll find out soon.

....hanging in there the best I can. If it happens, nothing much I can do to change matters. Just have to move on and forward.

In the meantime, ongoing Wancow's "Princess Belle" project (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/17043/) is bleedin' infectious. Now he's got me messing around with creating one of my favourite "princess" characters.

OK now only spent a couple hours of morphing each of the last couple evenings. However, I think I may be on to something. The dress isn't totally exact, used Bobbie25's Fairytale Dress with Marieah's Fabricator, and the hair is a meshbash of April YSH's Amarseda and Osean Hair.

Unfortunately I don't have Wancow's skill at modelling, so I cannot create that incredibly wild mane of red hair

Used various percentages of Genesis Sadie, Young Teens (Girl 1), and Hitomi, head/face morphs for the basic head shape and facial features along with rescaling the head and neck. Still have a ways to go to get that goofy smile of hers and will have to do some postwork to give her those bushy red eyebrows.

Not bad, but I had to click the image to see it...on the page it's just this dull blue rectangle. :-/ Another "feature" of this stable website, I guess.

Those are cute! Didn't see an image earlier, I thought maybe you just forgot it. But now with the blue box from KK, I'm wondering if it's more stability from this place.

I just bought something and used a PC coupon and paypal and no problems here Safari 5/Mac OS :) Oh PS see images as well woohoo :) Safari is very fussy about caches and redirects and scripts - basically it ignores them all I think - so that might have something to do with having no issues *touches wood*

Thursday morning. Cooking My Last Meal(tm) here - mini egg rolls. :-S That, coffee, and cheese will get me going.

Laundry done and packed, most personal care items packed, clothes packed, fridge empty except for gel ice pack for the foot, very little left to do.. the bathroom, laundry room, and main room are empty. It's all pulled back into my room now.

Will check in to the residence inn after work, cab home, one last round of cleanup then.. call the cab, pack up the computer and go. I'll spend tonight at the new place! :)

Tomorrow: osteopath visit, where I get to find out how bad it is, how much work it's going to take to fix the foot, and how long I'll be out of work with it. :-S Feh. the swelling has barely gone down any, he may be forced to wait longer.. my reading says it can take a week to 2 weeks for a broken bone swelling to subside. :bug:

    Meh, meh, meh, meh. :blank:

I DID keep my 2 plush snakes, the 2 plush sharks, the plush iguana, and the plush lionfish! :cheese: :cheese:

Packed up and ready to go! Have to hit the bank, go put money on the prepaid, then into work with a packload of goodies. Leave work for new place, check in and unload pack, then off to OLD place, get rolling suitcase and computer, and I'm ggggggggoooooooooooonnnnneeeeeeee!

It'll be nice to be in a place where I don't worry about the furniture getting changed on me or my stuff being moved around! :gulp:

Once the foot surgery is done I'll start looking seriously, right now I just need to get well, recover, de-stress, etc.

would it be unethical to try for a job with the competition?
