Is bed time. Cold and hella windy outside, blizzard in Amarillo, roofs blown off here in Austin, been watching the garbage and recycle bins blow around all day. :-S

    Take care everyone! :)

..after digging out from the last blizzard, Kansas City is getting whacked again, up to eighteen more inches of the white stuff.

We had a bloody blizzard in Amarillo, shut the city, highways, even the snowplows down!!! :ahhh: :ahhh:

50MPH winds here all yesterday and into the night, blew over power poles and one semi on the highway... :-S

This is some NASTY weather! :bug:

Meh, work today - have to make hotel and food money to cover next weeks surgery time off. I'm going to see if I can get the doc to schedule it for Thursday next week, then I can recuperate over the weekend and not lose a ton of cash due to off time. :-S

Foot looks slightly less swollen, I spent all day yesterday with it up and iced off and on. Still thankfully no pain! :)

Cab to/from work today and tomorrow, I want to give the thing a break - will do some walking Thursday and Friday, then this weekend at the residence inn - on the computer and watching TV while I keep the foot elevated and iced again. :-S

This is getting real old already. Maybe it's bionic foot time? ;-P

    Tuesday Complaints! :snake:

    - Power off at the office and no notice was sent out until I had already left, so I blew $25 on a cab, getting in to the office to sit for an hour.
    - No breakfast food at home so I'm having a personal pan pizza for breakfast.
    - No cream for my instant coffee so I'm drinking it bitter and black.

    Non-complaints:

    - Got a ride home from one of my cooler co-workers
    - ..who picked up my Goodwill stuff to drop off for me at his church! :cheese:
    - Can spend another day iciung and caring for my poor poor foot

This means I'm down to almost nothing here now.. some laundry to do, one laptop, the backup drive (goes into the office tomorrow with my laptop backpack) and my main backpack. Moving will be super-simple, just shove 2 bags + my crutches into the cab and GO! I'll be out of here in one trip, which is optimal. :)

So I get a "free" day off work, with no pay - I can only bill one hour since that's all I was in the office for. Going to do a long day tomorrow and stay late Thursday to make up for some of it. :-S It'll be enough to cover another week of hotel + food + transport, though. Whew!

Still 1800 people in Austin without power as of this moment. Urgh.

It's Monday, and lordy do I have complaints! :bug:

I somehow managed to fracture a bone in my foot Saturday, and because I have little feeling in it, walked around on it all day. Ended up massively swollen and I went into the ER Sunday at 5AM. :ahhh: They thought it was an infection at first, but the x-ray showed a compound fracture of the bones in the right side of my left foot. :bug: So, I'm at home today, icing the darn foot, with a HUGR Frankenstein type medical boot to wear when I go back to work tomorrow. :blank: :blank:

Surgery sometime next week, from the look of things. I see a podiatrist Friday to consult about the thing. Feh. Feh. Feh.

And I STILL have to move out Thursday - a lot of what I was going to try to donate will end up in the trash because I can't get to Goodwill now.

    Argh. Just.. feh.

*hugs* Doesn't sound good at all - especially the Frankenstein part, hops that doesn't spread  Hate to know you are in pain, hope that is a little better for you by now.

    Thanks! :) :)

The boot is actually crazy cool! It takes all the weight the foot would hold and transmits it/distributes it across the leg, so no weight goes to where the break is. It LOOKS like a bondage boot :red: :red: and the sole is 3 inches thick :blank: :blank: but it's actually mostly kind of comfy. %-P

Very little pain thanks to my neuropathy.. just very annoying twinges as my foot tires to tell me I was a freaking idiot. :-S

This is what it looks like: http://www.oandp.com/shop/product.asp?supplier_id=014A20FB-FFD5-4EFC-B9EE-7BF0F97C661C&product_id=615E30EE-6FF1-4437-A053-4FEB16152FE8&department_id=A25F4AA0-98B0-490B-8FD6-3DCA565DBA23

No more casts! Hooray modern medical science!

would like those in pink. :)

i wonder if Spyro would be interested in modeling those?

Oh geesh, sorry you're not feeling well.. Feel better soonest!

Credit cards suck, but I have this Walmart pre-paid.. don't know if that would work for you as it's not a "real" credit card but works just like one.. :-S

i like the prepaid cards, too. but unfortunately it doesn't count towards a credit rating.

did some reading on e-how. it says a secured loan would counts as 35% of credit rating. it's a starting point. :)

i've set my goal as next year to move, my 50th birfday.

and if none of my relatives call me on my birthday, none of them will know i moved.

A little dubious about Autumn happening at all this year, theoretically it is Autumn tomorrow :)
