Blech, 45 more minutes before i can leave.
I think a stop on the way home for some beer, then a Whataburger Patty Melt for dinner! Throw on some tunes, kick back, and chill.
Hopefully I can get some quality time plotting in this weekend, and maybe blast out a flash fiction piece or two. I have some great ideas (hee hee)! :vampire:
Looks like I'll be writing horror and fantasy, those are the things I prefer to read and that I get excited about writing. :) But no romance.. I can NOT write romance worth a darn! :bug: And I had a pen name all picked out!
Morning. Cool again here this morning, bliss after weeks of heat :)
I have not been feeling well the past while. I am getting better though.
You name your pens? o.0... ;-)
ETA: glad to hear you are feeling better Miss Kulay (^_^)d...
What's the shape of the problem that's causing issues? (or is it something you really want to nut out yourself?).
I'm using the Wizard control in webforms, Visual Studio 2010, as a checkout process. Using SQL Server 2005. On the third step, which is to review the order before placing it, I have a GridView with a SQLDataSource. It just doesn't bind, the gridview comes up empty. I've checked and the temp order and detail records are created. I've tried binding it to the datasource in the OnActiveStepChanged event, the OnNextButtonClick event, I've tried several different things. Nothing seems to be working. I'm not sure if maybe this isn't the best control to use for this purpose. The SQLDataSource calls a stored procedure, by the way. I've tested it and it works. I get no error message, it just loads with an empty GridView. >:(

Note to all:
If I'm ever on fire, please don't hesitate to put ME out.
go easy on the habanero sauce :)
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wanted to write romance. supposedly it was why he tried to ko Sherlock Holmes.
Irene Adler ;-)

almost time to trade in the margaritas for hot toddies?
It's gonna be a change from watching HR Pufnstuf :)
completely dissipated all the manfluence from my render flow.
must resist going to utube - must resisssss...
*hugs* That's real good to hear :)
Well that sucks. I guess it is good you anticipated what would happen, but it really sucks anyhow :)
...that is beautiful and huge. An absolute treasure as it is the largest Father Willis instrument in the southern hemisphere. I am glad they saved it as t6his instrument represents an important era in organ history. All too often here in the States, when there is a renovation of a hall or church, the original organ is either sold or even disposed of and replaced with a new instrument (which sometimes is a digital facsimile of the real thing).
Hopefully there will be a recording of the re-dedication concert.
It is a big deal so yes, I'm sure there will at least be a CD or two :)
hey fabulous, and gleaming as well :)

People are noticeably less snippy and tired looking around my 'hood, not so much the hot days as hot nights that drives everyone a little crazy :)
All the big romances seem to have unhappy endings - like Gone With The Wind where nobody ends up with who they want to be - or should be, kind of horror stories as well
Gone with the Witch? tee hee - Witchiepoo reference episode16
Pillow Biter - just learned that term 20 minutes ago.

i haven't rendered Tyler yet. or d/l hexagon yet. todotodotodo scooby snack
So there would be Sasquatch and Sensibility, or Pride and Prejudice and Zombies or Northanger Werewolf and hey didn't Charlotte Bronte write My Little Green Dwarf?
Hello how is everyone?
Frustrated! How are you, Missy?
Dana
Sorry to hear that. Is there something someone could do to make you feel less frustrated?

Doubt it. I need that light to go on that shows me where I'm being such a dumbass in my code. No, not my genetic code, I'm afraid there's nothing that can be done about that. :smirk:

Is raining here, a real novelty, so doing pretty darn fine right now :)

Glad you're getting some relief!

...Dana TA. MFM, and ps1borg thank you for the support.
Actually I feel as if a big weight has been removed from my shoulders.
Went to "my downtown" (the Hawthorne District of Portland) and stopped at my favourite pub there to celebrate my "freedom" from bad workplace politik and 4 hours of commuting a day. One friend gave me not just one but two lovely cigars to smoke. Also got a glass of one of my favourite "peaty" Scot's whiskeys.
Time to move onward and upward.
Currently dining on a homemade Teriyaki dinner.
I love to cook and now I have the time.
Glad you're getting some relief!
Dana
I like rain. I know it makes floods but where we are it leaves puddles everywhere, as if a giant mirror was broken and 'm walking in its reflecting shards
Home made Teriyaki! *swoon*
Kyoto Kid, I know the feeling of relief, the feeling of burden being removed, due to leaving behind a job one does not enjoy; I have been in a similar situation, it was a major contributor to my depression.
So keep your head high, and seize the day. :)
Well, good for you, then! Enjoy the break, and the cooking! :-)
