    FRIDAY!

mmm craving overloaded potato skins. and something with foam on top, Sam Adams, yeah foamy :)

...what, you want our former mayor? With foam on his head?

I guess if the price is right, I could go out get a can of Gillette Foamy shave cream, find Mr Adams, spray it all over his head,
and send him on a plane your way

~ROFL~ I'm not much of a beer drinker, but the overstuffed potato skins sound very yummy. Hmmm, what to eat for dinner, hmmm .....

...many many years ago there was a political cartoon in the local fishwrapper which poked a finger at the glut of election signage during the mayoral election (there were a number of candidates actively campaigning). One of the signs in the cartoon read "Sam Adams for Lager".

The zips seem to be five and a bit MB smaller than the equivalent installers - not much for an item with textures, but a huge change for pose sets.

It's huge for anyone...and especially so for those unfortunate souls who are still using dial-up connections, or DSL.

No. I wouldn't think so. :gulp:

The only thing I can think of that might be worse is being a child with severe pollen allergies who has been taken to church Christmas week, when the 'live' Christmas trees and pine limb decorations are up. It's no fun having your eyes and throat swell shut while your nose becomes an open faucet wracked by burning sneezes. Nope, not pleasant at all. Thank goodness for years of allergy shots.

I do hope your allergies are only a minor inconvenience.

@ SickleYield... Has anyone ever asked you about your avatar? When I look at it I see a spider ring and wonder if I'm interpreting it correctly? If it is a spider I wonder why the legs are positioned just so. It makes for an interesting symbol. Sorry to be so curious. ;-)

I need to make time one of these days to create a better avatar for myself. Can't use a photograph because I'm camera shy. :-P

It's a female symbol with additional bits added on to make a spider. My avatar is always something arachnid-related. I love arthropods in general and arachnids in particular. I've never built one in 3d because I've been waiting to build my tools and skills to the point where I can really do them justice - and when I feel I've reached that point, I will overrun this market with my army of arachnids. MWAHAHAHAHA

    *Ahem.*

    I'm quite fond of spiders.

It has eight, two are just very short (surely you've seen double amputee spiders running around?).

Ticks also have eight legs, as they are also arachnids.

Didn't know that. Hmmm... I'd have put them in the same category as mosquitoes...blood sucking little ba****ds!

I didn't mention it but I was wondering if the female symbol was in there. Now I know.

You know, I always pictured the spiders back legs as curving around to form the ring, making the requisite eight legs.

    Spiders! ...Eeeek!

They're fascinating, but I can't say I'm necessarily a big fan. To each his or her own. ;-)

Some I like and then there are a few that creep me out for some reason.

I get bit by several ticks every year since I work quite a bit out in the boonies. Little blood sucking ba***ds is right! I freaking hate finding one when showering that evening.

I love the little furry jumping spiders, brave little suckers, but petrified of anything that's any larger than that. I get bit by them many times a year.

    Noooooooooo!!! Not ticks!!!

It's that season again and I've already picked two off my clothing this year after walking around the yard. Have to keep a look out for them buggers.

In the Spring its ticks, in the Summer its mosquitos, and in the Fall its chiggers. I knew there was a reason I like Winter!

There's an evolutionary psychology theory on the arachnid response - the idea that revulsion toward spiders and other such creatures stems from an ancestral instinct toward avoiding creatures likely to be poisonous, which is why it's so common in humans. I do not have this, and I've always been different from most people I knew because of it. I'm also not afraid of bees, wasps, snakes, etc.

On the other hand, few humans have ever been killed by spiders compared to snakes and larger predators, and while some people do fear snakes, how many people do you know who are wolfophobic or sabertoothedtigerphobic? When we meet something furry whose ancestors probably regularly ate ours, we think it's majestic and has adorable babies. Go figure.

I'm afraid of horses and some dogs, personally. They kill a lot more people than spiders do. Fortunately, the leading cause of death by horse is liking horses enough to own them, so I'm pretty safe; and people where I live observe the leash laws, limiting their dogs' ability to bite me for the cardinal sin of smelling like someone who is afraid of dogs.

I think I was bitten by several mosquitoes yesterday when I was putting mulch out in the garden. A couple of times on the head no less. Damn it! Usually we don't have a problem with mosquitoes in our house or yard. It's odd, since there's a still pond across the street. But there are a lot of frogs (and they've woken already, it's been noisy in the early evening the last few days) and birds that are insect eaters. Moths, on the other hand, are another story.

I have to put out some tick and other bug killer around the edges of the lawn, maybe this weekend. That's where they like to stay, at the edges...away from the sunlight.

Hmmm... I can't help wondering now how I would model a spider ring that combines both a spider design and the female symbol. Tricky.

Even if it means a store overrun with spiders I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when you think your modeling skills are strong enough. :)

Waiting for things to calm down enough over here before I try submitting my first store item. Need life to stop whacking me over the head for just a moment so I can finish the item to satisfaction. Other items are in the works as well. I'm hopeful.

My personal favorite, Argiope aurantia or "writing spider".
My Grandaddy taught me two things about them:
It's bad luck to kill one.
If they write your name on their web, you'll die. :)
