    ....thank you very much.

(and Magento sucks gas giants when a simple "thank you" is flagged as spam - it's so disheartening - software that is designed to be so "smart", it's actually quite stupid)

Snow White is on TV. Not much snow. Or white. Crow effects are interesting. And black glassy monster mirror things.

Good point! was using Gemologica Tigers Eye and the displacement wasn't to my liking, but I think I need to find out how to put a procedural displacement into a shader.. argh.

Maybe I should give this all up and stick to text. (ugh face)

I can have a great career doing Poser Porn... (blank face)

But.. but.. that would require me actually knowng what I was doing! (gasp face)

    And we can't have that....!

Ok, I put some bump on the ground surface and turned off depth-of-field for now - I'm modestly happy-ish with the result at this point, but I'm going to fiddle with the Uber-Environment now and see what else I can get out of this scene.

I'm not a fan of sushi. That mountain, though, is surely going to smell really bad in a little while.

I'm mildly upset with my dreams. o_O

I have couple of locations which come to my dreams every now and then. Two of them are The Hidden City (which has somewhat Mediterranean look to buildings, lots of terraces, courtyards, and a canal where water flows uphill -- seriously!) and The Lake of Endless Islands (which is like my name for it says, the lake goes on and on and on, there are countless islands jutting out there and there, with silver-leaved willows and moss growing on the islets and the water is pleasantly warm and you can swim and never get exhausted and perform pretty incredible feats while swimming). These two places are vaguely connected to each other, and it is always easier to find the lake than the city, but both require special understanding where the hidden nexus points to each lie in dreamscape.

Now, in my dream, I realized that
    1) I was near the canal leading to the Hidden City
    2) with my SO, my mother-in-law and my father-in-law, to whom I had been showing my old home town, and I had taken the right secret turn which had led us to the canal.

And I was so excited that all of them were there, and I wanted to show them the lake, because it is so cool. I explained that we were near the city, that we should take one of the boats nearby, and start rowing there, it is totally worth it. I did have a little pause when I regarded my father-in-law, he seemed a bit ill, but I figured that he'd feel better once we got to the lake.

So, I told them about the city, and mentioned that if we go down THAT way, we'd go back to my old home town through the Hidden City, and merge with the town's existing river. But if we take THIS turn in this canal, we'd go around the Hidden City to the lake. So we went that way instead, and then I realized that something was wrong. Usually, the canal has pretty deep and somewhat murky water, but this time it was fairly shallow and muddy. It was a struggle to go uphill, as the canal water level was so low, but we managed to do that. So the downhill part should have been easier, right?

Wrooooong! It had even less water than the uphill part, and we were coasting on sludge and icy slush (again, an odd thing, since I've never seen snow in that place), and the trees of the area were utterly wrong, wrong type. Firs and pines, but not of the sort I'd seen there before.

So we made a bit of crash landing nearby the lake, where water ran out under our boat, and we had to walk. I decided to scout ahead for a footpath that would take us to the lake, and I was walking on broken, muddy ground with slippery rocks jutting out. I insisted walking onward, since turning back meant going against the trickle (at the "downhill" side, water didn't feel inclined to assist us any way), and the ground was much worse there.

Suddenly, I saw my father-in-law slip and collapse by my mother-in-law's side, and both myself and my SO were some distance away and that's when I got really upset, and I screamed aloud "What's going on in here!? No one dies or is ever hurt in here! This is all wrong!"

At that point, my subconsciousness' other half apparently performed some sort of reality check, and went "Oh hey, your father-in-law is actually DEAD, so this has to be a DREAM, okay, waking you up now, no point to go on with this nonsense now". My mind has some sort of weird hostility against nonsensical dreams pertaining to dead relatives...

I am mostly upset about sudden corruption of those two dream realms, but even more so of my rude waking up, because I knew everything would have been just fine if we had gotten to the lake.

    Stupid dreams.

oh cute, the snake has eyes now. :)

I'm tempted to install Daz Studio 3 on my Dad's 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 computer to see if it runs faster than on my 1.8 GHz AMD 3200 processor. His computer has an Nvidia Geforce 4 AGP 4x card with 128 MB of RAM. Hmm...the openGL drivers might be kinda old. Both computers accept PC3200 RAM. I even gave my dad my old RAM chips after I upgraded my computers memory. My computer's motherboard has four slots and two were already filled.

In a little while most - if not all - of it is going to smell bad definitely... As it's gonna end up in the stomach of a pretty large red dragon :3

I did this image with a friend of mine in thought, who loves sushi in real life, and that love applied to his dragon-sona too (A fairly large red dragon, with the cutest and handsomest expressions <3)</p>

I figure he'd be able to eat most of it before it ends up going bad XD

Well YEAH. And didn't leave his gift baskets into my hands! He might have been in the city, though. Who knows?

Hey Wooly, do you ever have dreams of a vaguely Mediterranean city with terraced looks, with a canal that has water flowing uphill going around and through it, and with bridges and small stores, and a lot of buildings are built with reddish or grey stone with light brown accents? Like a REALLY detailed and insanely expensive Stonemason set?

NVidia typically has good support for older cards, you'll probably be OK, but I'm not sure.

The Intel HD3000 GPU on this laptop does OK in DS4.6, so I;m modestly happy. I could a faster CPU, but couldn't we all?

Not that I recall, and I recall I'd guess about 80% of my dreams.

There is a place I go to sometimes.. a castle of white stone with tall towers of what appears to be crystal..there is a pool there, in which one can see visions. It's one of those hyper-real dreams that makes the waking world seem like a dull, drab imitation. Sometimes I see it from far away, while walking through a field of white flowers (look like some kind of iris). I also visit a place that is a row of apartments in a garden, the trees greener than green the sky olke an azure marble and the flowers brighter than the Sun. Both amazing places and I love when I get to go. But it's pretty rare.

Mostly I get the Giger-esque landscape with the melting demons, or something so mundane and stupid that I wake up wondering what the point of it was. Meh.

I like Misty's Idea, I would still be one more day away form another weather front that has it's beady little eyes on my bone gnomes, ready to whip the buggers into another frenzy.

EDIT: Nothing ruins your Saturday night like realizing it is Sunday night.
