Who ever thought it was possible to fill a 750GB drive? :bug: :bug:

I know. I remember saving up the almost $500.00 to buy my first hard drive - a whopping 10 MB (that's megabytes kiddies). Last week I spent $90.00 on a new 3TB drive to add to our Drobo bringing it up to 17TB total storage.

Heck I've got 2 64GB thumb drives setting on my desk and between the wife and I we've got a drawer full of 1-2GB thumb drives from various trade shows/cons. It's easier to get a GB+ thumb drive at a trade show than it is to get a t-shirt these days.

Hmm, the weather has cleared up a bit. I'm considering going to the local Mexican place and picking up some tacos, and maybe one more six of beer - this time a nice stout.

DS is rescanning my runtimes for all the new stuff I installed, and the backup is running, so I'm at a good stopping point.

Besides, I really want tacos!!! :blank:

    Back later! :cheese:

It's crazy. The first hard drive I ever experienced was a 5MB (yep, megabyte) RL01 DEC cartridge drive at work. It was HUGE! :gulp:

Now my laptop has 500GB, the backup drive has 750GB, and I'll probably end up with a 2TB USB 3.0 drive next weekend if I don't just choke up for a bloody 4TB NAS or something. :blank:

I just got told one of the most gruesome Australian murders Ive ever heard... chilling and absolutely horrendous. Seriously, it made the Ivan Milat murder sound less horrific ... :grrr:

Problem I find with murder documentaries or simply being told of a murder... it just replays in my head, and its hard to stop thinking about it.

Why is there never some hero who comes to their rescue... I wish I could save them when I hear of the stories.

This was on a murder documentary (recently shown on TV), really gruesome story.

    Reid Murder

To top it off, the two murderers were in fact military!

where are some good tutorials on how to rig a figure in Poser 2012?

hierarchy editor is the easiest way.

load several primitives, parent them, then click the create button. poser automatically saves it to the 'new figure' folder.
(each child can have only one parent)

makes cute 'tin man' figures with a few cylinders, a couple cones.

Always save in steps and frequently... On any project Im working on I save like this

    JungleSceneWIP 1
    JungleSceneWIP 2
    JungleSceneWIP 3

    etc.

I delete all WIP After I have saved the final complete scene

I couple this with incremental on-line backups that save revisions each 4 hours. Saved my bacon several times - not so much from drive failure but rather from inadvertant local save overwrites. How many times have you used a previous scene Temporailly mod it for an export and upon scene close accidently say yes to the save prompt.... overwriting the original. A backup system that allows you to restore a prior version with the same filename is a lifesaver.

    Installed, I have:

    - 92GB Daz content
    - 15GB RuntimeDNA
    - 39GB Renderosity
    - 8GB Poser (PPro 2010/PPro2012 content)

It's just stupid. Half the time I can't remember everything I've bought and have to search and search again to locate stuff, then wonder if it fits the figure I'm using,.. urgh. :blank:

I'm designing a C#/.NET app to handle complex content management, both 2D and 3D assets. It'll take me a few months to do, but once finished I should be able to better wrangle my massive pile of content!

I ought to do that, but grabbing them all will be a monumental task. :bug: I'll just read the PNGs for the product and display them with the parsed data.

I do not like these ears, but Hexagon won't let me fix them.

This is a free base figure that I found that I can modify. Right now it needs a lot of work in order to be useful.
