    Some clothing will have minor problems and you can edit it out with postwork. Clone brush!  The Glacerial Queen and the Dragon Keeper sleeves come down over the hands. They did not get fitted. I could make the sleeves invisable, or paint the cuffs away in photoshop. I bought the morphs for kitbashing also.  If a V4 dress has issues, a different one for a later gen may not.  I am not going sweat a few hard items and spend hours and hours on that doing it by hand if I can find a shortcut.  Tons of items worked.  Finding the V4 files from Renderosity was the bigger pain. With the hair files, I have hair but no textures in some files, but a huge working library.  This is fine because I love hair shaders and my plan was to have hair I can use with hair shaders. Modern Iray Shaders are important if you want keep using old stuff too.  I love making shaders although my past efforts were lost, I did buy some too.  And I still have seamless textures I collected.  I am going after some shoes though, that works great and so fast.  If I want to bother with Deforce, I have to speed things up somewhere.  These products do speed up things a lot. I love the foot poser.  Shoes and boots and heels are going threw fine.  You're right tightening things down is the easy part.  They work great.  I did not expect this to work this well and fast. I'll be out of things to convert soon and back to making characters though. Thanks again.

    I have had problems converting Lady Littlefox's  Cowl Dress (see attached image)  This is the first time this has happened with a dress. As you can see the sleeves are above the arms.

    The one thing I can suggest is to delete all morphs, etc for the converted dress, restart Daz (maybe even restart the OS), and try immediately converting that item.  I have seen occasions where Daz will struggle after converting a bunch of items.  Sometimes, restarting and doing it again can help.

    I purchased the RSSY M4-G8 converter today and went through the entire conversion after first reading the pdf.

    (1) Rebooted DS after the conversion was completed
    (2) Loaded and selected G8M and clicked Filter by Content... none of the M4 wardrobe items showed up in Smart Content > Wardrobe
    (3) I then noticed that many of my M4 items were located at Smart Content > Lost and Found
    (4) Test loaded one of the M4 clothing onto the selected G8M character... clothing loaded but did not at all conform to G8M (stayed in T pose instead of A)
    (5) Despite the conversion, am I still supposed to load the "Parent to.." and "Fit from..." options?

    I had the impression that the converter would automatically turn M4 items into ready-to-load G8 items but I must be mistaken.
    Or I must be doing something very wrong?

    There is something going wrong because you don't need "Parent to" and "Fit".  The converted items will not show up in the "Products" Smart Content, but in the "Files" Smart Content.  If the M4 items did not have smart content, I believe they will show up in Lost and Found.

    Can you convert something and post the Daz Log please? (Help->Troubleshooting->View Log File)  Only the conversion itself, not the whole log.

    The first bit of the log looks like you had Iray Preview on and I don't see a conversion.  The second part is incomplete but it looks like the converter found the item to not be a clothing item.  Try SELECTing (i.e., HIGHLIGHT, not just checking) the clothing item in the dialog and click "Force Convert Item(s)"  Does it say the conversion is successful?  Did it work?

    Highlighting and Force Convert seemed to have done the trick! It took much more time than before (abt 2h total) which was a sign that things were being done... I then retried putting the same clothing on and it actually fitted G8M like a glove without me having to "parent to" or "fit to"! :)

    A lot of my M4 items are still in Lost and Found, which is fine... I actually prefer them there than scattered all over in Smart Content > Items.

    Finally, any idea why my leather jacket (open, no zip) became swimming floats? hahah should I reconvert it and perhaps choose a more accurate mould?

    The gray blocks are a sign it cannot find the .dsf files.  First, are you on a Mac or PC?  (Macs can have issues where they protect directories which means not everything can be written or read).  Otherwise, make sure the .dsf it says are missing actually exist.

    I checked and I do have Read/Write access to the Runtime.../Character directory for that particular product. I will look again tomorrow morning for the .dsf you mentioned, will check the log for more details. Will update! But I will officially move over to a PC in a week's time so all these troubles may be gone :)

    Can someone please explain why my every attempt to convert a V4 top or skirt results in a popup messagebox titled Execution Succesful and reading "Execution completed in x seconds on 0 clothing items?" This popup message occurs whether I use Add Files or Add Directory. I have unchecked both the "Check Content Type" and the "Ignore Daz bought files" options. Curiously, the clothing appears for an instant on the G8F figure during execution. Unsurprisingly, nothing is written to the output directory. Finally, choosing "Force Convert Items" produces a popup messagebox reading that "No items are selected. Please select some items and try again!" BAFFLING!

    I have it selected in the covnerter, I'm clicking "force convert" and it will not convert. I have restarted DAZ multiple times to no avail.

    First @horse1412000, I apologize.  I have this thread bookmarked but got no notification.

    The script requires the item to be installed in a path that includes "Clothing", "Accessories", "Character" or "Props", e.g., D:\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\Libraries\Props or something like that.  You can probably add one of those and copy the gown there, i.e., D:/Downloads/Clothing/rromancegown.crw

    I need to apologize to you as well @junior_franc.  I am just seeing your message now.  As the log states, the preset is loading multiple objects.  If you create a new preset with only one item loaded, that should work.

    Thank you so very much; it's appreciated. It seems, I suppose, that I have some terribly ancient V4 apparel, products I'd hate to abandon BTW. But why is it necessary to highlight one item at a time? I was under the impression that items listed in the converter UI with a check in the check box were selected.

    They are checked but not selected.  The normal "Execute" button goes through the list, loads items, makes sure their metadata is correct (i.e., clothing), and then tries to convert them.  If the metadata is not correct, it skips that item.  The idea is that you should look at those items and make sure they really are clothing (e.g., you could have added a character, etc)  If you are sure, select (HIGHLIGHT) them (you can use SHIFT and CTRL to select a lot of items at once) and "Force Convert" them.

    It is still showing that yor preset, GinfV4_Tunic_M43.duf, is loading multiple objects.  If I remember correctly, I believe the Tannenbaum items don't work cleanly because even pockets are separate objects.

    this is the log stats of the converted tunic. The tunics are very similar, is there a way to convert to the one I had a problem with?
