oh I bought myself a Christmas Present
a Nikon D3200 single lens reflex camera which is 24MP
still want a macro, wide angle and fish eye lens'es though.

not used a SLR for 30 years, used to look for bugs and stuff and do closeups! and had to wind film onto a spool in a wardrobe to put in a developing tank then lock everyone out the laundry at night so I could use my enlarger with all the windows covered and a yellow light getting developer and fixer all over Mums laundry troughs so she whinged about the smell.
is easy now, can put my SD card in my computer or a kiosk at mall.
24MP maybe I can do really BIG bugs and creepy crawlys with added Daz humanoid victims!!!

I haven't cranked up my enlarger in years, but I still have my red light plugged in upstairs. I got into doing my own back when my daughter was in middle school and I helped with the yearbook.

you had a dark room to develop film?

i tried it once, but couldn't get the undeveloped film rolled on to the dunker doo hickee

Yes. The previous owner had used my room in the attic as a darkroom and it came with a heavy cover that velcroed over the window which made it totally dark in there.

When my dad died 3 years ago, he left me all of his cameras and equipment. I haven't inventoried them yet, but there is a least 1 Pentax, several Mirandas, light meters, lenses, tripods, and no telling what all else. Since the 50s he had been using his own photos for his magazine articles.

Better than usual out today. It's 42F out. The snow is melting pretty good. The next couple days will be like this but with rain. We already have a floor advisory up for the area

What are they advising for you floor?

    Dana

If you live next to a river you get a flood advisory when the water gets high, at least that's how it works here :)

    Seeing red? ;-)

Mm I remember that image~ Was done in an old PC Forum thread where you picked 3 or 4 of your runtime purchases at random (Random.org list randomizer is what I used) and HAD to use at least those three/four items in a render. YOu could use whatever else you wanted, but those HAD to be in there. Sparked creative thinking I believe :) I should try it again~ Get me 3Ding again!

...now, now, now, don't go burying my poor little one too much. I could use that 50$ coupie right now. :)

Don't worry - I've almost finished digging through my rendering folders ^^

Hm what? What $50 coupon? :O

..ahh, nothing, nothing...slip of the tongue that's all. Nothing to see here...carry on.

    o__o Alright then... ^^;

Ooh I found out how to move/sort images. Just drag and drop them into another folder :D
I'm liking this gallery system more and more~ Now if only it would alert you to new comments on your submissions o_o
...I just wish the gallery had the original categories again so Daz, Carrara, Bryce, Poser, Vue, etc images weren't lumped all together.

Can feel some sea air from the south west, must be a squall blowing in from the bay. South wind tends to carry chill from the South Pole that isn't so bad on days like today :)

my two huge comets died I see in heat so now I have a fish tank to get rid of,
sorry, not really grieving, not fond of having fish in tanks too much cleaning, were ok when I had a pond.
Did not mean them to die but will not miss them.
bloody big glass tank too! the water snails were still alive and plants but I chucked the lot on the compost, fish too, will be a bit whiffy down there!

    do not mourn the fish

    Do Not Mourn The Fish
    by Tjohn

    Do not mourn the fish.
    They swam away their days
Not knowing of the larger world
    That lay beyond their home.
    They only knew that food
Floated down like manna from the sky.
They only knew that feline eyes
Stared hungrily at them by day, by night .
They would not have wished to leave
The safety of the water tank
To face swift death by fang and claw.
And now, in death they linger
    Buried in a compost heap.
    Silently they fade away
To someday be reborn as a flower.
    Do not mourn the fish,
For they would not mourn for thee.

Cranky, Crotchety and Curmudgeonly weren't hired by the seven dwarfs because they already had Grumpy.
