    I hate how Hades is presented in Disney Hercules. Never saw it all the way through but am trying to watch it. Why do they make him a bad guy?

    On the topic of drows, I haven't seen many in the online Dungeons and Dragons games. Or maybe they are hanging out in a city that I cannot visit yet.

    It's not really that hard to figure out why they did it.

    Death = Bad

    Underworld = Hell

    Hell = Bad

    God of Death = Obviously evil person

    Disney putting 2 and 2 together, so they made Hades a villain. Anyone associated with death is obviously evil to them. Hades in classic myth was far from evil, but hey they've got Hera being a kind and compassionate loving mother but no one is complaining about that being miles off from how she was depicted in Greek Myth. :)

    Kulay,

    Be careful that the James Woods fan club doesn't find out about this. His performance in the movie is widely regarded as one of his better efforts and his portrayal of the character is regarded as one of Disney's better villains.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    I thought the story of Hercules was different than Disney's portrayal. I thought that he was half god (a demigod) not Hera's kid. Or am I mistaking him with someone else?

    Not saying that his acting job was bad, it was not his fault.

    I guess it was because I read an erotic book about Hades and picture him as this handsome erotic character.

    hades in the hercules series was a handsome dude. they showed him as overworked after battles, deciding who was going to elysian fields and tartarus.

    and then the whole episode with persephone, which was also a place in the firefly series.

    AFAIK Hades was the brother of Zeus, along with Poseidon. He ruled the underworld, Zeus ruled the air and Poseidon ruled the sea. So if Hercules was the son of Zeus then he must have been Hades' nephew.

    Correct, from my best recollection of Greek myth. Not quite old enough to recall it directly ;)

    I corrected course when I realized that didn't sound right before I left for breakfast around 10 am. (See my edited comment above)
    You guys are too quick on the Post button for my slow brain. :lol:
    I'll stand by the idea though that if Hera had been his mom and a mortal had been his father, he would have been a hemi-semi-demi-god. :)

    They may be cute but are considered a rodent and a pest for farmers. Farmers pay to have them removed or killed from there field cause if one of the tractors hit one of there holes it can cause thousands in damages to their equipment. The same goes for groundhogs in this area.
