    You do know they're planing a 7th in the series. It's supposedly due out in December 2015.

    I've loved meerkats since I saw them on a nature special. The way they stand up suddenly in a group and look to the left, then look to the right, all simultaneously. It's so cute!

    I've had the Silverkey Meerkat more years than I can remember, and I just realized I've never used it in a render.

    That's the model I used. Bought it today and got the LAMH preset for it at furrythings.com.

    They may be cute but are considered a rodent and a pest for farmers. Farmers pay to have them removed or killed from there field cause if one of the tractors hit one of there holes it can cause thousands in damages to their equipment. The same goes for groundhogs in this area.

    You live in Africa, Frank?
    ETA: Maybe you're thinking of prairie dogs?

    Comparing the Meerkats? One in the middle looks like Sergei, perhaps you don't have those ads wall to wall on your TV :lol:

    Oh, now that should be nice. You'll have to post a render when you play with it.

    Ahhhh, since I bold all hyperlinks, otherwise, as in this case, you can't tell what's a link, and what's not a link.

    I saw that post, but didn't realize you were linking to a render you had already done.

    BTW, I love it. I saw the Warthog in the store, but didn't put 2 and 2 together until now. As I said, I bought the Meerkat so long ago, I forgot I had it until you mentioned it. I like the render, and the LAMH plugin did a nice job on both of them. :coolsmile:

    I don't think it's been Photoshopped. I think the girl/lady just pulled her top over her head, and either her cat was sitting on her shoulder already, or she placed it there with just it's head showing.

    I could probably do that if my mum's cats cooperated with me, but I am too afraid I would get a face full of claws.

    Complaint: some of the characters that I bought from Content Paradise won't load because the mc6 files are hard-coded. I would manually edit the MC6 file if I knew how to edit them.

    {
    version
     {
     number 6
     }
    mtlCollection
     {
     material Body
      {
    (snip...)
      textureMap "C:\Users\WRS\Documents\poser\a2\characters\jenna\textures\wrs_jenna_body.jpg" 0 0
      bumpMap "C:\Users\WRS\Documents\poser\a2\characters\jenna\textures\jenna_body_b.jpg"

    I would contact them. That's a bad practice, hardcoding drive letters and such. I suppose WRS is not you. That means the vendor had stuff in his/her Documents folder rather than in a development folder that could be zipped up. I've seen things like this, but not recently. It looks like it's just a text file. See if you can find the same folder structure in your runtime, below the Poser folder. I take it you already installed this? Where did the files go when you unzipped it? I'm surprised it didn't bring up a dialog about that path, especially if Windows didn't let it create a folder there.

    I just found out that the artist has a Facebook page but he/she hasn't updated it since April of 2012. I didn't see an e-mail address in the readme files. I'll send her a message via Facebook.

    All the stuff that I bought from Content Paradise is in d:\daz\content paradise\runtime
    Poser 9 itself is in d:\program files\poser 9\Runtime

    Poser did show an error message saying that it could not find any materials before asking me if I would like to create some default materials. Poser 9 did not ask me to locate files. Daz Studio always does. Hmm, maybe I can manually apply the materials using the materials room.

    I installed all the runtime files except for Carrara on the second drive so that I can easily move them to another computer.

    Any decent zip file archiver will let you drag and drop. Open the file in your zip manager, drill down to the Poser folder, then drag the folders under that into the Runtime folder. See if that works. The files you showed in your screen capture are textures. I understand that Poser doesn't care where a lot of things go anymore. That can be a blessing and a curse, as Monk would say.

    Where are the texture files in the zip? Essentially you need to do a global (assuming the naming is consistent) search-and-replace for

    C:\Users\WRS\Documents\poser\a2\characters\jenna\textures\

    with

    :Runtime:Textures:whateverfolder1:whateverfolder2:

    using a colon in place of the backslash and starting the path with the Runtime folder.

    Preferable to sleeping outside. :)Speak for yourself my Friend. I miss my outdoor adventuring lots. I love sleeping under the stars with a bed of embers to my right in a stone enclosed fire pit. Nothing like a week of living off the bounty of the land to get a person centered in the big picture again.
