Kinda rebelling against standard tunnel blue lights, no real idea which way other way to go, yellow, orange and red flashing ones sound good

    ...both look good.

Do you have the latest update for AoA's Atmospheric Cameras? it now includes a volume camera that lets you flag individual lights for the effect.

Yes some volumetrics for that will be good altho will probably use Lightwave :)

Well, I've always lived here, but I don't know of anyone else that frequents this thread from here.
Not everyone talks about where they live, I guess. :)

90 degrees in Oregon? Really? Oh right, you are inland. I keep thinking Portland is right next to the Pacific ocean. I guess the mountains trap some heated air or keep the cool air out. I should check the weather for Seattle too.

Haven't been there myself since 2012. I can get everything I need more locally.
    Chattanooga is a Cherokee name.

Always feel drawn to exotic place names, often when you get there they are just like any other place, like Wooloomoloo or Papunya are here :)

Road to hell dept: resisted adding 3rd party plugins to Lightwave installs for years, but the past 12 months or so succumbed to peer pressure (you so old fashioned) and whoa shiney...new must be good syndrome. So network rendering haz broken nao & have to reinstall and refresh and worse nail down and standardise plugin references in project files. Had the best of intentions.....

    That is my complaint.

You own a software program that costs $995 USD? Wow. I cannot afford that.

Well, not exactly cos I'm in the upgrade program which works out to about a (2 seat) $800 LW tax every two or three years to keep current which aint so bad, depending on what kind of year I'm having work-wise I guess. The Painter tax is around $120 every 18 months, the Final Cut tax around $300 every three or four years and the Poser tax is about $300 every two years. I would pay for Studio if Daz let me.Oh there is a node-locked tax as well where I have to pay for a new seat of, I dunno little utilities, every time I upgrade hardware maybe $200 every three or four years. If I wasn't working I wouldn't worry about upversioning compy's, the biggest expense.

...a tax of 300AU$ to use Poser every two years, a 120$ tax on Painter, and a system upgrade tax?

    Sounds awful.

I thought the VAT's in Europe are bad enough, but a separate tax to use 3D software? That is horrible.

Looks like Oz is off the "places to retire to" list.

...stupid software sent me to the login page after I clicked "Submit Post" and of course as usual, then sent me to my stupid account page after I signed in instead of back to the post or even the thread. OK, it's now been nearly two stinkin' years and this rubbish is STILL occurring. I'm trying to be lighthearted here but this has been broken way too long.

OK that out of my system...

...stopped off for a quick lunch while down on the Ave. Was sitting there sipping an "Arnie Palmer" (half ice tea, half lemonade) and munching on a basket of tater tots when this skateboarder who was coming down the pavement looked back and immediately went *Doont!* into a signpost.

Conjured up memories of the following Toyota commercial that for some odd reason was banned.
