On the topic of Blender: I can export my scenes from Daz Studio and import them into blender. A small scene uses about 1.8 GB in blender. :ohh: Mind you, I only have 3 GB of memory installed on my Windows XP 32 bit computer.

They would page memory in and out of use from the from that 1.8GB pool as required tho,is more efficient that way. Import motion to Blender as well as the scene objects?

...didn't know that Blender could import a Daz scene. Do you have to import it as an .obj? If so, possibly anything with transparency maps (like hair) is getting converted into a polygon mesh so that could explain the bloat.

I know that the only way to export hair created in Garibaldi Express is to do so as an .obj which saves it as a high poly mesh

Yes, I exported the scene to .obj file so that I can import it into Blender and the demo of Octane. Blender can import .obj and .dae COLLADA files.

,,,never had much luck with Collada. Seems to always crash whatever I was exporting to.

    Don’t you cry for me
I come from Deep in the Underdark with
    My Banjo on my knee

    I ran all day
    The night I left
A hitch was in my side
The pain so hot I almost died
    Spider lips don't you cry

    Don't you cry for me
I come from Deep in the Underdark with

...yeah, that will do it. Throw in a lot of reflectivity and/or transparency and may as well pull out a good book to read.

Your not going to get the blue water preset to work as you think for that overhead shot. The simulated bottom depth is going to effect the color, just like it does with Nerds Wave tool big water plane. Been there done that.

I totally missed the weekend sale. Another complaint is that I am hungry. I better go eat something.

There was a weekend sale ?

I thought there was one but I missed it. Or did I miss a nonexisting sale.
...I've pretty much become immune to sales these days. The only things I got during MM were the freebies and something with my monthly 6$ coupon.

    +1
