what the heck are the '..CF' files on some of the products?? O.o

... I mean, I understand that the '...Ds' zips are the DAZ and the '...Ps' zips are poser..

oh, and what are the '... legacy' ones I see occasionally? (as long as I am asking) DS3 files? Conversion files?

man, you take a year off and they go and *change* everything!

complaint #n+1 : my shoulder is *hurting* something awesome today!

First the complaint, slide over on the couch I'll join you, I bring a few other hurtie parts with me just for giggles too...

PoserCF files: These are the needed load files to use the Dson content in Poser with the Dson plugin.
StudioCF files: These are DAZ Studio files for a poser type content set. Often the textures that install to the DAZ Studio Formats section.
Legacy Files: These are more often than not DAZ Studio 4.0 format files as it will not read the new DS4.5+ duf format.

Hope that helps.. Now pass the OTC pain killers please.

    ahh! thank you!

well, for OTC all I have is ES Tylenol - can't take the others for some reason; messes up my stomach *badly*

got ice on it now... doesn't really help (except for some small numbing effect), but the doctors always ask if you have been... As far as other hurtie parts; I can bring both ankles, both knees, both hands, cervical vert., lower back and right wrist to go along with right shoulder! all echoes of an 'eventful' life, I suppose... just right now with whatever is re-injured in my shoulder, it is making the others hard to notice! LOL!

Two nights ago, today was supposed to be nice. But last night, today was iffy...probably will rain. Today, it has looked like it might rain any minute...all day.

I found my old electronic phone book in Windows 3.1 cardfile format. Now I need to manually copy the phone book to a more recent format. Time to look for a personal information manager for 32 bit windows. Yes, I am running Windows 3.1 in the screenshot.

Back then a local server here kept a list of all the pictures on the internet you could telnet to

Thank you, I wasn't anticipating a story either. But my creative spirit keeps coming up with cool ideas for the next image. I'll try to get the next one out soon.

Six things to hate about tiles:
    Bevels never look like bevels
    Spots are never irregular enough
No matter how much randomiser gets applied offsets don't really look random
Shiny isn't the same as glossy
Glossy isn't the same as shiny
Grout isn't consistently the same colour in RL

why is it, regardless of how MANY times and how MANY ways you tell Windows, various programs, plugins, and/or your browser software that YOU will check for updates and YOU will choose *which* updates to install and *WHEN* to install them, they always agree (condescendingly if they had a 'tone' I am sure) and then DO IT ANYWAY?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

please admins, pass along that one of the reasons I continue to not think that DAZ devs and management are not total @#%*^@#s nor idiots is because DS is not guilty of this heinous crime against my time (and sanity)

    AUUUGGHHH!!!

yet ANOTHER corrupted 'update' since my system is not standard (or because you are in the middle of something, or because you intentionally NEED older drivers/etc. due to a piece of software not being patched yet to work with the newest or... well, you understand) that I must now spend a few hours digging all the crap out to get my system stable again (sure, I have a restore point - which is good for the base OS... but all those OTHER files that were replaced?)

physical assault should be legal upon devs who put this in their programs and on management that allow such to 'slip through' quality assurance/control.

    Ouch, that's stinks.

At work, I can't update my Java because the Appraisal district's website won't run if my version of Java is too new. It's been that way for almost two years now. Every time IT has to log in to fix something, I have to ensure they don't update the Java.

As a software engineer in training, I take offense to that last line. That line is not funny at all.
