About the same here but dreary overcast and windless :)
Thanks for the Mad Chemistry Lab, thoughtful surfacing and grouping makes it real useful, am using it straightaway :)
Creepy!
Dana
...mine are finally paid off. Thank the goddess.
Give them hugs then for the cool. Tomorrow is Fathers' Day, my eighth one since mine passed away. My fourth year since my Mom went into a nursing home for senile dementia. I still hold her hand and tell her I love her and give her hugs. Sometimes she knows me, sometimes not.
But I know her.
Everyone whose parents are living, never miss an opportunity to tell your parents that you love them. Opportunities can run out.
...my daddy ran out when I and my brothers were very young. The day has a bittersweet meaning.
Hibernating didn't work out, guess I'll have to turn to virtual reality to get some weather happening. Is starnge weather here, usually there is a strong south wind in June but is quite calm instead for here, the bay is near fllat I think they call it becalmed so apart from navigation problems the fog is causing small-sailed boats are going nowhere fast - feeling a bit robbed altho I guess you should be careful what you wish for, big storms can blow up from nowhere
...it's a sad thing that summer can't happen everywhere. Such is the life on a planet with a 23.4° axial tilt. and an aphelion (farthest distance from the sun) which occurs during the summer"season in the northern hemisphere.
..ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
...It's a beautiful morning
...and we're...
...Groovin'
Why can't they write songs like this these days?
...bugger, The Young Rascals. Great group.

Ferry Cross The Mersey
Don't Let The Sun Catch You Cryin'
[Gerry and the Pacemakers were the second band to sign on with Brian Epstein who also manged the Beatles.]
Kind of a Drag
Needles and Pins
I'm Telling You Now
Go Now
...and yep, Mr Epstein managed them as well.
...and a little heart & soul...
Piece of My Heart
Summertime
Saw her in concert, never forget it, always love her.
...speaking of great blues women...
God Bless the Child
you Go To My Head
Night and Day
...mmmmmm yeah, so smoooooth...
...and on that note, oh yeah, this is KK your evening DJ signing off for the night. Have a good night my friends, live a good life, and only listen to good music. We'll catch y'all on the flipside.
Creepy!
Dana
hehe better not post the real creepy stuff
Cole Porter is always good, TY :)
So I'm guessing since the Catch-Up Sale is completely borked, They'll start having to play Catch-Up tomorrow then.
Playing catchup with today tomorrow sounds like one of those Zeno's paradox things where you can never get close enough to actually catch up to the catch up

On the topic of weather I wonder what Salt Lake city is like during the summer. I want to visit the beehive state on July 24, 2015. At least the heat in Utah is usually dry, not humid, correct?
I can't go this year because I don't have enough money.

Someone came in and fixed the Catch-Up Sale.
Probably just a loose wire or something.
puts out a big bowl of salt water taffy on the buffet bowl and starts to time to see how long it will last.

...maybe they need to slap the bottle on the bottom end a couple times to get it to work. Seems to always be the case after opening a brand new catchup bottle. ;-)
hahaha! yep!
... looks like the 'Flashback Freebies' are over too :-S
...yeah *sigh*, though I managed to get a few I missed in the past.

...it can get pretty hot there during the summer, 90s - 100s. The Western Regional Sci Fi con is in Salt Lake this year. Wanted to go but needed to have an income first to afford it. Though I could swing by Daz while I was there (maybe the might even be at the con).
This year Siggraph is just up the roas from me in Vancouver BC in August. I know Daz usually attends. Very expensive though, about 1,200$ before July 18th, which includes the 42$ annual membership fee in the ACM-Siggraph organisation. Were I in school, the cost would drop to around 400$ (including ACM-Siggraph student annual membership). There is a special Unemployed Discount but that is only available to those who have been with the organisation for several years. Often times Redno gives away scholarship so have to keep my eyes open. Received on back in '08 but my company would not let me take the time off.
