That's the usual setup. That seems to be a long time to run a cable. Was it your bill, or are you just a renter? Just curious.

    Dana

Neither. I'm an unemployed college graduate living with my parents. I don't actually rent the room. :D

Give them hugs then for the cool. Tomorrow is Fathers' Day, my eighth one since mine passed away. My fourth year since my Mom went into a nursing home for senile dementia. I still hold her hand and tell her I love her and give her hugs. Sometimes she knows me, sometimes not.
    But I know her.

Everyone whose parents are living, never miss an opportunity to tell your parents that you love them. Opportunities can run out.
...my daddy ran out when I and my brothers were very young. The day has a bittersweet meaning.

Morning. Another featureless grey day, second week of winter and foggy for fourteen days straight now :)

sounds like your do for some vacation weather,
or a new skydome texture :)

Hibernating didn't work out, guess I'll have to turn to virtual reality to get some weather happening. Is starnge weather here, usually there is a strong south wind in June but is quite calm instead for here, the bay is near fllat I think they call it becalmed so apart from navigation problems the fog is causing small-sailed boats are going nowhere fast - feeling a bit robbed altho I guess you should be careful what you wish for, big storms can blow up from nowhere
...it's a sad thing that summer can't happen everywhere. Such is the life on a planet with a 23.4° axial tilt. and an aphelion (farthest distance from the sun) which occurs during the summer"season in the northern hemisphere.

...and then there's the old Mersey beat....

    Ferry Cross The Mersey

Don't Let The Sun Catch You Cryin'

[Gerry and the Pacemakers were the second band to sign on with Brian Epstein who also manged the Beatles.]

    Kind of a Drag

    Needles and Pins

    I'm Telling You Now

    Go Now

...and yep, Mr Epstein managed them as well.

On the topic of weather I wonder what Salt Lake city is like during the summer. I want to visit the beehive state on July 24, 2015. At least the heat in Utah is usually dry, not humid, correct?

I can't go this year because I don't have enough money.

...maybe they need to slap the bottle on the bottom end a couple times to get it to work. Seems to always be the case after opening a brand new catchup bottle. ;-)

...it can get pretty hot there during the summer, 90s - 100s. The Western Regional Sci Fi con is in Salt Lake this year. Wanted to go but needed to have an income first to afford it. Though I could swing by Daz while I was there (maybe the might even be at the con).

This year Siggraph is just up the roas from me in Vancouver BC in August. I know Daz usually attends. Very expensive though, about 1,200$ before July 18th, which includes the 42$ annual membership fee in the ACM-Siggraph organisation. Were I in school, the cost would drop to around 400$ (including ACM-Siggraph student annual membership). There is a special Unemployed Discount but that is only available to those who have been with the organisation for several years. Often times Redno gives away scholarship so have to keep my eyes open. Received on back in '08 but my company would not let me take the time off.
