LOL Humid, in my part of the land Misty would have melted long ago. Temps in the 90's often with humids that make it feel like 103F average. But we here are raised in it so its nada to us mostly.

eww.. lol Me and Misty will melt if we go to the south during the summer. I guess you are used to the heat and humidity Jaderail.

As someone a tad further North (East Tennessee) with the exact same current weather conditions, I can honestly say you can tolerate it, but you never get used to it.
Here in the deep south Mr. AirCon becomes your best friend. It pulls so much water out of the house (widow units) I have wet loving Elephant Ear plants under them. They do very well every year.

    deep South? Where are you?

Central Alabama here (just North of Montgomery)...Central Alabama here (Just North of Birmingham) Hi Neighbor!

The wrong elephant ear. They are pastries that I am not sure if I would like or not as I never had them that I can remember.

    Hi neighbor!

awesome! we should catch up some time! You hitting DragonCon?

ahh.. today is really an over-achiever of a Monday! Nothing really *bad* (that I know of), but definitely pegging the 'not fun and somewhat worrisome' meter!

There is always hope this will be fixed with the switch to the new forum software (whenever that is supposed to happen).

did you get the announcement email from rdna? they upgrading store and forums this month. didn't say if it's magneto
Nope, I'm not on the mailing list. I seriously dislike their habit of "pushing" new images every five seconds (causing a page refresh and reload), so I don't check there too often...

... aaaaand now I see everything on my wishlist is on 40% sale >_<...</p>

Someday in the future we should get together. But I'm not out much. I'm 100% Disabled and suffer from a bad case of crippling Arthritis, I must use a cane just to walk and then can not do that for long periods. I'm pretty much a homebody now, read as hermit, when I do things they need to be planned ahead and mostly in easy to reach of me or for some other that can drive me. I can not Drive for long periods either. Enjoy the Con for me.

...getting there myself (Uncle Arthur, not DragonCon). Been a rough several days for me as we fell into a pattern of cool damp weather again. Should finally warm up and dry out beginning midweek.

Morning. A little blue sky just after dawn giving way to thunderheads rolling in from the Southern Ocean, perhaps it will rain later on :)

...a little thunder here as well today.

Having issues getting refraction in a water plane (plane primitive with the Calm Water shader from the Daz 3DSElements set) to look right. Using the right refraction index (1.33) but even a tenth of a percent of refraction Strength Muddies everything up. Tried using one of the sea planes from Seascapes, but the reflectivity is high and makes for odd reflections in odd places and there is no way to turn it or the opacity down.

Uh oh, have to sign off & shut everything down as the lightning is beginning to sound pretty close.

Hmm... think Ps1 missed sending it to me. I'm down in Texas and could really use some rain. Sinuses are still unhappy.

Here's a free shader I made that mimics the look of Bryce water reasonably. And hey if it doesn't work for you, the price is right. :)

ugh - arthritis! yeah, my hands, knees and ankles have been really aching with this wildly varying weather lately! Not that I am complaining about the weather! the rain is nice (and I love a good thunderstorm)...

I am pretty much a hermit too with my health 'issues', but I get out some... next time it looks like I will be headed that way will try and shoot you a message and maybe we can catch a sandwich or coffee somewhere.

    Sounds very doable.

...yeah it takes a lot to get me out other than running my usual errands or occasionally sitting at a cafe or pub on a sunny day in the neighbourhood that has outdoor seating. Actually went out of town a couple weekends ago for the first time in many many months.

My first thought was: Surely they aren't changing to Magneto. Memories of the DAZ change-over flashed through my mind. I got so dizzy I had to take a nap.
