According to some physicists, there are actually seventeen (!) dimensions but we can only see three because we can't get close enough to see the others. This may account for what you've observed.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

OK, I have to disagree here.
I see the obvious 3 dimensions every time I use a 3D program.
I can see the fourth dimension by looking at my watch.
And I saw the 5th Dimension on television many times in the 1960's and even owned one of their albums.

Alright lots of stuff to sift through so will just make a list:

*OMG FYYRE IS BACK. Was literally gonna ask if anyone has seen her last post I made xD
Reld looks awesome in the new draggy format.

*Blender complaints *huffs* what else is new :P
My Blender-obsessed friend said that even he had difficulties with the keyboard shortcut things and still does at times, so he printed out a "Cheat Sheet" of the most commonly used ones for his workflow and tacked it onto his wall. Told me though that the latest version doesn't 'require' as much key memorization as before though.

*Reading through posts, not much of interest... Ooh DOS games! Then uttered aloud some words of severe frustration half-way through the post and skipped the rest of it >_>

    As for meh?
Not much to report since last time. My four-night work week is finally over so I can get some proper rest again, so that's good. Got the MilDragon3 pack all downloaded but haven't installed it yet. Dunno if it will even work with C4D's IPP plugin or not. If it doesn't then I'll have to stick with the SubDragon and MilDragon 2.

Did myself some drawing as well. Pictured below is some sketches of that Saurian dinosaur/dragon from FFXII and a terrible attempt at a front-view of it roaring. *Huffs* looks nothing like him >_>

Found some nice fan-art of the creature though:

Well, then I won't complain about the fellow complainers. And I'm not a troll -- my complexion is all wrong, plus I'm not hairy enough. Not a bronie, either, because, well... no sparkly thing on my butt. Ha. I'm in.

Then today I shall complain about moving. SickleYield, I saw that you were complaining about it, too -- but my complaint centers on my fiance moving IN. Currently, I have no way to walk from my bathroom to my kitchen without walking out the front door and then in the back door. There is also a random door lying in the hallway to my bedroom. I recognize the door as one belonging in my house -- I took a bunch down when I moved in, because people in the 40s must have really liked doors and there were three in my back entry, which is literally a 36" square of linoleum. However, I haven't seen this door since I moved in five years ago, and I'm not entirely sure where he found it. Or why it's lying in my hallway. I got up to pee at 2am today and fell into it. When I asked him to move it, he did -- to the opposite side of the hall. Now I can have a matching bruise on my other leg.

So, yeah. Moving sucks. I know I have a house somewhere under all these boxes...

Something unnatural about a horizontal door, as if there was an extra dimension lying around you hadn't noticed before

I'm beginning to think there IS an extra dimension lying around. Mainly because I have no idea how all this stuff ever fit into his tiny apartment. I feel as though he must have been hiding a Bag of Holding somewhere, where he kept all of the things he didn't need on a regular basis. Of course, this could just be wishful thinking on my part. After all, if there truly is another dimension laying around, I could just shove everything into it and close my horizontal door.

According to some physicists, there are actually seventeen (!) dimensions but we can only see three because we can't get close enough to see the others. This may account for what you've observed.

There's several dinos in this game, but none of them are named after real dinosaurs. The mottled green one is the weakest and most common, full name being 'Wild' Saurian. Past games had stuff like Tyrannosaurus and Allosaurus, but lately they've been giving generic or fantasy names to them instead.

Kind of a handsome reptile me thinks :)

    ...pretty impressive.

Interesting that teh 34th anniversary of Mt St Helen's eruption was two weeks ago Sunday. That was quite the experience. When I got to Seattle I remember in the days that followed, watching the weather reports that not only gave the chance for rainfall, but "ashfall" as well. On July 22nd of that year, there was another large ash eruption which occurred in the early evening just as I was walking through the UW campus to a class. It was a clear day out so it was quite a sight. I believe it shot up to something like 48,000'.

...needless to say I was late for that class.

...you need one of those new Macs that Ps1borg has 12 hyperthreading cores (on one CPU) & 64G of RAM. All your HDDs, SSD's would be external though as it has no drive bays.

SSDs are nice but very expensive, especially the big ones. I find an SSD to be more valuable for a notebook as it has n moving parts to get knocked out of alignment, and takes less power (PSUs on notebooks have a much smaller output compared to workstations and re not easy to swap out).

I'd just settle for a couple standard 2TB HDDs for backup storage (I have room for five more in my system)..

The only way you can get close to a TB of RAM is to win the Powerball or Mega Millions and get a Cray.

    "...umm isn't that a Cray XK-7?

    "...yep"

"...what do you use it for?"

    "...rendering in Daz Studio"

    "...OK, how fast is it?"

..."well when I click "Render", it finishes the job twenty minutes ago. Have to watch out for those pesky quantum singularities that pop up once in a while though, last one took the cat and sent him to the the 10th dimension I think."
