Looks lovely! Just finished my initial page through and I cannot wait until I have time to sit and give it a good read through. I always enjoy the magazine and often think about contributing, but then have no concept or time, or whatever. Sorry, in a ramble mood.
In other words - Good magazine, Always enjoyable and informative!
I really enjoy this magazine, I have read some fantastic articles and the artwork is fantastic. I was wondering if you would be putting in some tutorial or more info on shader mixer and builder, they seem to be a very elusive part of DS, especially how to build new shaders for iray for a complete newbie who wouldn't know where to start with shader creation.

I will second this. I was finding the shader mixer confusing, but something I could ignore with all the other options around. But now it looks as tho if you really want to be able to customize your scene for Iray, you need to dive into the mystery of using bricks.
...still having login issues on the site. None of my saved password/username combos (from the FF options/Security tab )work . Wish they'd just delete my old account and let me create a totally new one.
Time is running out for you to get the amazing anteater from Alessandro_AM. 23:59 UTC on the 14/06/15 so just over two days left and then it's gone for good, Don't miss out. http://issuu.com/philatdsc/docs/ds_creative_12
..I still am getting a "runaround" when trying to download the PDF on my Notebook to read. I'll log in, click "Share", then click "Download" and each time I do, it sends me back to the login page saying that I '...need to login to do that" (even though supposedly I am already logged in). I can log in and download it onto on the workstation but I don't want it there as I like going through the tutorials on my notebook and read articles while rendering so I don;t have to keep maximising and minimising windows to change between the workspace and the PDF every time or take more system resources away from the render process.
My sign in on both systems is the same with the same username and password so I don't know why I should be running into all this trouble when I'm on the notebook . I don't get this with the Daz forums Share CG or any other site that I access from either system.

Double check the cookie permissions on the laptop...
Go to Options > Privacy > Exceptions (under the Cookie section...) and look for issuu.com. I had mine at Allow for session and it was not keeping me logged in when trying to download them.
..did that. Logged in, but when it returned to the DS Creative Page I was logged out again as after I clicked Share and Download, it loops me back to the login page like it's been doing all along..

Have you tried a different browser? Use IE or Chrome and see where you get with them. FF can be a pain, especially since the recent updates. I myself use the 64-bit Cyberfox.
...I'm actually using FF 29.0.1 (both machines) as the newer versions seemed to have some kind of memory leak that kept bloating them. Particularly bad for the notebook as it is 32 bit. Again, no issues on the workstation, just on the notebook which is where I need to download the PDF.
I only use FF as I like the suite of privacy and security plugins I have with it. Not sure what Chrome has in that respect as I deleted it after it had conflicts with this site (particularly the new store), and the version of IE that the notebook has is one of the "Screen Door" ones with regards to security.
I just don't get it as my FF setups on both machines are identical (and I don't have to delete cookies on the workstation to login).
If you need to get it on your notebook and you have no network to it, just use something like Google Drive. It is what I use when I need to get something on my Android device. Just upload the mag to your Google Drive and then download it to your notebook from Google Drive.
Blast I missed the anteater freebie. Why was that put up for only a limited time? I really hope that limited time access windows do not become a trend on the DS Creative freebies, it would become quite annoying.

But now it looks as tho if you really want to be able to customize your scene for Iray, you need to dive into the mystery of using bricks. YES! I would third this. I have watched some of the Youtube videos on using the DAZ Shader Mixture but it really needs MUCH more explanation on its use.
Perhaps the article could show some useful examples with shaders available in the DAZ store to make the ground look like cobblestones or forest floor or such.
The DS Creative articles I have seen have been particularly good because they seem to try explain all the details, never assuming that anything is just 'understood because everyone knows that' like the Youtube videos seem to do. A shader mixer article that explains what -every- connector in those bricks and what every parameter in those shaders mean would be an immensely helpful as a reference.
Welcome to DS Creative Issue 13 the only magazine for DAZ Studio users, his is our 1st Birthday special http://issuu.com/philatdsc/docs/ds_creative_13
While we are happy for you to share the above link, please do not download the magazine and share elsewhere, DS Creative should only be available through www.Issuu.com
It does appear that the security systems at Issuu have incorrectly flagged us again so you simply have to sign in/create your issuu account (fb access) in order to view/download pdf.
-support ticket sent to issuu-
A warm thank you to all those involved with this issue & all the 12 before this, together we created a year of fun & some community knowledge! Thank you DAZ!
Wow, what a huge issue! And how many freebies?! Thank you very much (especially for the coupon) :-)
Congratulations to everyone involved in producing DS Creative on reaching that birthday milestone.
I think this one will take me a little longer to read than usual - the features look very interesting at first glance.
Small inconvenience I guess, it does continually have some very useful/helpful articles and cool freebies.
The fact that they still allow us to download the issues so we can read them on the go or see them bigger is a nice perk.
It's FREE - they could easily charge like the other mags do...
As a longtime digital art magazine publisher I am always interested in having a look at new magazines however when I went to look I was asked to sign in or sign up and I'm too lazy! :) I used to publish with Issuu but they were PITA. Long story but there were lots of problems for those people who were putting out professional magazines. A bunch of publishers moved to Joomag who has better service and features including interactive features like videos and galleries right in the magazine. They have different levels and you can put out your magazine for free. I don't know how they treat adult content as I'm not publishing with Joomag anymore so not up to date with their policies. I suspect if you don't list it on their newstand but host it on your own site, they'll leave you alone. Anyway good luck with the magazine. I'm sure it is awesome.

..not sure what to look for. Both systems use the same version of FF with the same settings plugins and add ons.

...yeah I could also do that with a USB stick but would be simpler to DL straight it to the notebook
Still seems awfully strange that with the same browser version and settings it works on one system and not the other

Do keep us posted on this flagging for mature content problem -- I don't want to sign up for issuu, but I would like to see it.
There are millions of hosting possibilities: why do you insist in using Issuu? haven't they made clear enough that your e-zine is not welcome there?
There's like at least 10 awesome freebies in this issue.. it's worth signing up.
Sorry, I detest these "web magazines" and won't sign up on principle, not even to be able to download a PDF version.
Well I signed up last month, it was painless. They do not "spam" :-) Think I got maybe 2 emails which was okay.
I need the download option just to read it in large enough print ... and Thank You! Wonderful issue and yes, lots of freebies.

Congrat on your one year anniversary, team. May you have many more in the future.
Hi, nice issue. Lots of information and lots of freebies and lots of nice renders.
Thanks
Would love to see it but don´t know if I feel like signing up somewhere : D Is there any other way to view it? Or do I have to sign up?
