Awesome render Stezza, but who's going round chucking old cartwheels into the pond? I really don't know what the world's coming to! mumble,  mutter #oldfart wink

A story behind every image devil

The lone kiwi is searching for the cricket ball ( there is one there ) as Australia is in NZ at the moment playing the Kiwis in Test Match Cricket.. The Australian Pelican is amused as the wheels have fallen of the Kiwis as they struggle in the current game.

Just my silliness coming through laugh

    how did export yours in?

I have as you may have seen in the Chinatown thread been trying to work out the best way to import Stonies DS only scenes and so far its a toss between FBX or going via Poser

    Hi,

actually I just loaded the second one in the browser (on the right) having minor issues with the UV maps, changed water and touched up all the bumps sad ; the first one doesn't work fine with maps at all

I'm going to test this beautiful scene in other renderers by using carrara export formats, in the meanwhile another shot in carrara, no post

  • ah that might be the iray one, I used the 3DL one as usually iray shaders do not load well, I do not use smart content I load my duf files manually

    we've been mooned! smiley

  • DiomedeDiomede Posts: 15,165

Mooned?  Nah, all characters are wearing Daz-sold undergarments of prodigious proportions.

Now, if I were to challenge myself to recreate some of the sights from my train trip across America....

    'Moon' River...

1.00pm:  Rafters on the Colorado river salute the passing train in the traditional manner.  The concept of 'mooning' needs to be explained to 4 year old Nate, after which he thinks it's the funniest thing ever.  He is very disappointed when another group of rafters fails to moon...

All I've done is fixed the most obvious UVs and reapplied the normal maps. Straight render, realistic sky, one sunlight @ 200%. 15 minutes to render (1600 x 1000) on my old i5.

Here is a render ot the Streets Of Tuscany using the LUXCore renderer for 3 mins. Only using the LUXCore Sun and Sky 2.

Not messing with shaders at all.

This is using the first Icon in Smart content.

I've been loading up a bunch of Howie Farke's sets and trying to disect how he does things because I want to do some more realistic looking outdoors scenes, and I took a moment out to just render one of them - I always forget how amazing all his sets are.

    "The Old Mill Path"

The new Walden Mill set dropped into Howie Farke's Maple Meadows.

Thanks!  I feel guilty accepting much praise for it though since I more or less just dropped a couple props into one of Howie Farkes scenes, rendered it and did a tiny amount of post-work.  Howie did all the heavy lifting on that render. laugh
