Great theme Diomede for a L'il Side Render Fun...
Not sure I can make an entry but if I do it will be an interpolated version of a crowd scene from Soylent Green
"The Scoops are coming!...The Scoops are coming!"...
Hi @Diomede
if it's okay, was thinking about kicking in a prize for using the pbr plugin. for a pbr shader render. theres some lovely shader files online for terrain and masonry.
Dystopian Beef
Everything looks closed. Someone lend him a hand. Oh, I see he already has one.

Keep Out!
Wow. I'm loving this!
Diomede - Awesome! There are so many great titles on Prime that I haven't even seen that one. Will have to check it out! I think I used to watch that when I was a kid?
I also Love the Gerry Anderson titles on there - Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds... amazing what he did with marionettes!
I love those terrain images - that Badlands scene is BadAss!!!
Out of curiosity, have you seen Sparrowhawke's Terrain plugins? One of them let's us use objects in the scene (Intersections) to create the maps for the replicators, which can be a visually accurate method - Kudos to Jeremy for that! Then also his Cumulus S3D plugin for making a whole batch of clouds without the dreaded volumetric primitive intersection lines when using multiple clouds, etc., I haven't tried it yet but have been reading the manual, which is truly amazing! Also check out the incredible manual for his Terrain plugins! I haven't tried either of these yet, but I'd really like to eventually learn (and use) all of his amazing plugins.
Man, that terrain you made, and the tutorial that follows is absolutely Awesome!!!
Mysty dear, that ship looks Out-of-this-World Spectacular!!! Great job with the shaders and lighting, etc., Very freaking Cool!!!
Stezza - it freaks me out how great you are at scene comp and rendering! I could spend days doing nothing more than perusing your amazing, imaginative art. So thanks again for... well... everything!
Vyusur, love the dystopean ruins render! Very cool!
Diomede, love the New Shoes render - and especially Stezza's follow-up story! LOL
Sorry for not checking in as host more often.
Misty - I'm loving the re-shaded Mongo rocket. So when you say PBR shaders and HDR dome, do you mean the plugins? Looks cool. When I did my re-installation last year, not all of the plugins got reloaded. I will have to revisit those. Thanks for showing the way. RE: extra prizes - of course, more is better. But, I think for this challenge most of the images were done without knowing of that eligibility. Still, better late than never. Heavy Metal = fun memories. I worked in a movie theater when that came out. Probably saw it 50 times. May have been sober once.
Dart - thanks for the links to Sparrowhawke plugins. See reply to Misty for the sad state of my plugin installations. Thank you for the kind comments on my WIPs in this thread. Your thoughts and suggestions are always most welcome.
Thank you very much!
Bug in Carrara
H Hoffmeyer's bug model in Carrara by brute force. I exported as an obj from Studio.
Way to teach 'em who's Boss!!! :)
I see why you try so hard. They look COOL!!!
mebbe spider has that point at thing going on.
which i dont understand at all beyond point at camera.
which i never used after it pulled V4's eyes out, lol
LOL! Yeah, Point At requires that we select an axis, as well as whether it is positive in that axis or negative, giving six options. I've broken things too, trying to Point At!
Let's say that someone made a cyborg out of V4, for sake of discussion.
There are pistons that are supposed to gon between the ankle and the knee, but when we load it into Carrara, they just stick straight out of the knee!
The fix, in this case is to select the right piston and add a Point At modifier, then select the right ankle as the Point At object and pcik the various axis options until it indeed points at the ankle. Once you have the right axis option, that will Always be the right axis option for that thing, so it'll also be what we set on the left side.
gr eat idea Ted and beaut work goes without saying all over this thread - sorry havent had any time , did this last week but havnt even had a chance to post it

rise of the walker mechs.
is scary cuz i can imagine it happening. people dont heed scifi movie warnings.
I love the "Mech in Action", but I think I like the straight render over the Topaz corrected one, which loses the mech into the scenery. Would be cool to see the original render with a touch of DOF to further separate the mech from the post apoc Motel
I just realised that WiPs are needed...
hmmm.. I didn't save any of my scenes ... how wacky am I
