@robertfreise   Omgoodness Robert, I am glad she is healing but you should have been contacted. Maybe there is a way to get listed as a contact for her at that hospital. I don't know if she would have to do the paperwork or if you can do it.

Kinda doubt that she would I'm not exactly looked upon favorably by brothers sister or mom. To many secrets from when I worked for Uncle Sam

Aw, this woman was part of my every week television habit. Star Trek was eagerly looked forward to each week, corny sets and all.   "Nichelle Nichols, trailblazing 'Star Trek' actress, dies at 89"

I want to take a moment and give a shout out to a member who is undergoing extremely serious surgery today. I cried at the PM sent, mentioning how much this thread has meant to them and all the members who post here to share their experiences with the various products. So do know you matter very much to each other, and are like an eclectic family of support whether you know it or not. Thanks so much for all your contributions, from that member and also myself.

    Good Luck with the surgery.

@nonesuch00   I've heard back from the member and the surgery went well, they are back home! Huge happy dance for them!

If everyone hasn't already, here's two bundles to peruse. We're going to play with changing up characters, it's playtime!  I'm not using either of these, but keep in mind morphing and switching up materials to create something really different from a character you may not have otherwise bought.  First go visit these two. In the next post, I'll post my Areta changeup I had just finished. (Good timing!) .

This is just a test render of the Hex Tenebris bundle. I didn't switch anything up here. All I did was add a red VDB cloud from the KA Leprechaun FX and an Urban Future HDRI I made from Urban Future a long time ago.

Edit: oh, I did mix different material presets on the different garments and I added smoothing modifier, because it had poke through. I used the Rim Lighting Rig 2. I love that rim light product, once I learned how to use it. Marshian explained that the instructions are in the promo images. There is no PDF documentation.

    Areta (G8F / 8.1F)        Caleela Hair  (G3F/ G8F)     dF Maia Outfit (G8F / G8.1F)

These are as she "evolved" and also with Growing Up. I thickened the eyebrows a bit, but even "as is" what struck me were the eyebrows which would be great for kids.   Open all in a different window then click back and forth to see the changes. It was fun!

This first one is the default character. I'd never use her, just not my style. The second is where I began the changeover. Like her alot already!

Going to tweak the nose and lips some more.

It's fun to click between the previous one and this one. Seeing the lip move! You can see the nose has been brought in and has other changes with slope, etc. So this was what I evolved her into from the original Aleta.

Not sure what is going on with the hair in back, I just left it because I was just testing the face. Didn't tweak the chest either.

Odd looking but in a pretty & interesting way.

Took a while to get this to look right. It is one of my pictures as an Environment Background and getting the character to look like he was sitting on the log and getting his reflection half believable took a few hours of trial and error :) I used three Matte Objects. One for the log (cylinder), one for his reflection (plane) and one to cut the reflection at the bottom of the log (cylinder).

Can Reflection Designer be useful for scenes like this? Anyone used it?

Not in this instance I don't think because the Matte Objects need to be positiond to match the camera and then moved into position to match the background. Reflection Designer appears to use already reclective surfaces within the environment and then places lights and the camera to show them. The Environment Image has no reflective surface until the Matte Objects are added and it is the placing of these that gives the shadows and reflections to match the background.

A couple of images. The first is the Perspective view of the scene and the second the camera view showing the objects.

Great job!!  I thought when I first seen it you were going to show how you used 3D Universe's new fSpy tool.

For your morning's amusement, here is a fun dog video. My favorite is the dude coming back from that relaxing morning walk that definitely didn't go as planned.

Good morning veterans!  Here's a musical compilation of our songs. I was disappointed in Coast Guard (my hubby's branch, I was Army)  as they didn't show a single rescue swimmer!

Now, if you haven't seen the LSU tribute, this is a WOW. And you will absolutely love the ending!

I LOVE this- it shows the veterans standing up.

    Fascinating Novica.

My Grandfather McNeil ticked off that America hadn't joined in, left college, went north and joined the Canadian Army and fought with them in WWI, until America finally showed up and was transferred over to them while he was in Europe.

My dad was on active duty in the Coast Guard on Treasure Island, waiting to ship out to Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941, but was transferred to the Aleutians. He later served on Naval ships and was part of the invasion of Italy. Not sure if he ever did rescue work, unless it was as a civilian surfer in Los Angeles before he joined at 17.

His brother Chet and brother-in-law, Shorty, joined the Navy. His baby brother, at 14, joined the Marines Corps in 1945 and served for five years.

My mother had a niece who I found out served in the Women's Army Air Corps during WWII as well.

Me, I as you know joined the Air Force during Vietnam. Served for 24 years. I saw some of my bases in the Air Force clips.

My son, served two enlistments in the Army in the 1990s, on call for the Balkan War. Now in the Army Corps of Engineering.

    Thank you,

    Mary

On my mom's side of the family they have served in every branch and fought in every war since before the French and Indian War

Dads side was mostly Army and Marines

I decided to play with Genesis 3. Been awhile. But the one I found is also for G3F and G8F and hey, she's on sale!  If you don't have her, she's got nice, natural eyebrows. This is Dezzi for Celani 8  (G3F / G8F)      Daiosa Hair (G3 / 8 / 8.1F)    EDIT: Here's a fix for those teeth. See this post.

True. Is there a way to swap character's teeth?  (Other than ghosting another character on top of another one LOL)  EDIT: I found this thread. Is it possible since this character is for more than one type of gal there is a morph issue?

I like the different windows in the Ersandmyme Cabin but not the backdrop in the kitchen. That curved portion just seems weird to me but may be a style I just don't know. Hopefully it has a separate material zone and can be removed. I like Bituka's stuff but there's no pillows listed so again, is this another set which puts pillows embedded into couches as one object?  If anyone gets it, would love to know. This seems to be more common (like the toilets without lids?!) Not to mention, on that one couch, there's four pillows in a straight row (which looks unnatural to me) so placing people on the couch may seem a bit awkward.)

Hmm, might pick it up later but theres just to much I don't like about it to pick up right now.  I like the sunroom.  The tub looks like the top is curvy in the picture? If so that would be very uncomfortable to just relax in.  I don't like the backsplash either.

You have to walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom?
