The "I'm complaining about all the other names for the next complaint thread"...

...because I haven't heard any GOOD ones yet.

Come on folks, you know I'm right.  We need to do better.  Bring it!

Suggestion: "The We All Miss Chohole Complaint Thread"

Non-complaint: Wheee... a mini-adventure today.  Might even be classified as a fullsized-adventure.  An interested friend wanted to attend a gem and mineral show.  I found one and we're off to Erie, PA.  Wheee... rocks, minerals, and gems oh my!

The "Subtropic Pixel Is Too Picky About Titles Complaint Thread"?

    That's too specific...

Actually, the best I can come up with at the moment is the "We'll Miss You Chohole Complaint Thread"... or  "So Long And Thanks For All The Shillelagh Wackings Complaint Thread"... or something along those lines.

The last one is probably too long and I'm not sure if Chohole was a Douglas Adams fan, but I think she might dig a cudgel reference.

Edit- I didn't see LG's post, I second his suggestion, it's better sounding... but I think the new title should honor Chohole somehow.

The "Subtropic Pixel Is Too Picky About Titles Complaint Thread"?

There's a difference between being "too picky" and having a minimum level of acceptable quality.  Monsters and buckets of fish, please; especially when we can recognize Chohole and at the same time raise the complaint thread above it's clique status.  And yes, I think it's become a bit of a clique.  I'd like to see some new faces in here, and that might be one good way of doing it!  wink

Besides, if you think back on Chohole's posts, you'll remember that she was rather erudite in her use of the English language; and by that I mean that she used proper grammar pretty much all the time.  That was one of the ways SHE helped to elevate the quality of the forums.

    That's too specific...

Actually, the best I can come up with at the moment is the "We'll Miss You Chohole Complaint Thread"... or  "So Long And Thanks For All The Shillelagh Wackings Complaint Thread"... or something along those lines.

Yeah, see...I knew you were capable of better quality!  I like both of those.

Not a bad idea, not a bad idea at all!

No, no, no, no.... no............... No.... My words are never about quality or proper grammar....

My words are like an 80s Hawaiian shirt... Loud, disorganized, surreal and hard to look at without getting a headache... please do not try to saddle me with quality... I'm not the King of France... definitely not, because I'm not a 229 year old headless zombie... I may smell like one at the moment, but a shower or two will probably fix that right up.
    Maybe.
Proper hygiene is not the point though... actually I'm not sure what the point was, but maybe the point is my points are usually pretty pointless and therefore bereft of quality....

And don't get me started on my friggin' nemesis, grammar...

    Should I have lunch?

Had mine seven hours ago already, beefsteak with new potatoes and a buttery new onion dressing for the potatoes ("new" as fresh out from the ground as we call them), as a dessert we had rum & raisin ice cream with strawberries (probably the last ones this summer)

Mom made it after I had done her grocery shopping for the next week, mowed the lawn at her summer cottage, carried water to the sauna and heated it up for us.
We ate outside as it was sunny, not too cold and not too hot and the food tasted delicious. smiley

    Should I have lunch?

    I'm glad you asked...

Lunch is one of the most important meals of the day, in fact during the Middle Ages, the second meal of the day occurred late in the morning or early afternoon and was called dinner, and lunch had to wait until the late 17th century for dinner to be pushed back until early evening, when a slot finally opened up for lunch...
Depending on where you live in the world, lunch can be a big deal... for example a traditional Bengali lunch can be seven course meal, while an average lunch (frokost) in Denmark is usually a very light meal, but may involve Smørrebrød (an open faced sandwich usually consisting of rye bread topped with fish, meat and or cheese)... not to be confused with the knäckebröd (rye crispbread) one can buy from IKEA (which I'm eating at the moment)...(with a lingonberry spread), which is actually made in Finland, and despite being sold in IKEA stores is not a furniture product, although it does have the same texture, structural integrity and similar taste... which now that I'm thinking about it makes me wonder if I put some lingonberry spread on our (IKEA) MALM dresser whether it would be edible... and also possibly if all IKEA furniture is made out of rye crispbread.

Anyway... after second breakfast and brunch, lunch is the most important meal besides second lunch, dunch, pre-dinner and first supper...

You should definitely make it a point to eat lunch because it helps keep your energy up and gives you the strength to outrun any carnivorous predators that you may encounter throughout the day.

So, yes, you should eat lunch, but not now it's 6 o'clock and that's really more of a pre-dinner meal time.

    I hope this helps.

Also... I just noticed the username change... I'm not sure if that will alter the timeline the way you are hoping... in fact one of the other identities Badwolf went by was Omen... which is Nemo backwards... so you pretty much nailed that timeline down pretty good... I'm guessing after you reanimate Mr. Mittens' corpse, Nemo could be one of your/his new identities because you went from evil Omen, to good Nemo... I'm gonna go check the history books and see if that's what you did...

Bummer... rude... you didn't take my advice... ah, who knows... the future is never 100% guaranteed.

Non-complaint:  Mini-adventure to Erie, PA mineral & gem show went well.  Lots of pretty rocks.  I found 4 or 5 small goodies and one big goodie, then we did some miscellaneous shopping and other tasks and had a nice steak lunch.  Home, unpacked by 3:00 PM
