Does anyone else get scam calls from people scammers pretending to be their ISP?

We got one today. My Mother indulged them in a conversation. I've always told both of my parents to drop the phone. My Mum couldn't understand why I got so upset and angry about it. I've always said, "Just tell them that you don't have the internet". But, no. It's like my opinion doesn't matter. They know best.

Damn. I there are 10 things in clearance that I want. Normally, I can't find the number of items that I want/would like. A part of me hopes that the Particle Physics - Core Engine comes down in price, at some point.

Urgh! This TV program gets more ridiculous every week. I'm glad it's been axed.

I hate warm chocolate. But, at least you don't have to chew it.

I hope we get those storms soon. It's not an opinion that my Mum shares. She hates thunder and lightning. She hates it so much that she can't even say it.

Thank you for yet another random restart, Windows Defender!

    ,,,complaint.

Ugh another long wait for the forums to refresh, another 502 error, swirlies that stall out and will not clear on the store pages, drafts remaining after a comment is posted, double posts when a site error occurs, discounts not applying properly, sales that simply "disappear" before the deadline, and being signed out when you have the "keep me signed in" box checked.

Maybe Daz needs to set aside pushing out a new version of it's signature programme and focus on some serious site/server maintenance.  So much seems to be breaking down here with more and more frequency.

The whole evening has been so unreal with the ventilator shut down... I can even hear my own thoughts smiley

The computer has warmed the place up from 22C to 25C (72F->77F) which is still comfortable, in the old times with some 12-14 7200rpm Seagates it would've hit 30C (86F) by this time already.

I wish my government would put us into lockdown. The daily cases total is both staggering, and ridiculous.

Numbers are slowly starting to climb again where I live, too. But yeah, let's all go travelling and partying anyway. Now my employer (university institute) is planning a big event with 150 guests in September. I'm sickened by so much sheer stupidity.

Complaint: stop sickening stupidity! And also stupid sickness.

Anyone on the east coast noticing the weird orange haze in the sky today?... that's Oregon burning.

Nothing to see here... everything is perfectly fine.

    No need to change anything.

Magic and unicorn farts will eventually take care of it all.

...crikey haven't been to the beach in years as the only way to get there now is to drive. The Oregon coast, only 70 miles away yet it may as well be 7,000 miles.

We are all stuck in the plot of a cheesy 80s B-movie... and most of the villains are even more poorly written than the ones in Robocop.

Oh I thought any haze around my home is due to my roommate's burp/fart mix.

Do bottled unicorn farts keep well?  They'd be nice to have in an emergency.

Does unicorn poop work the same way?  I know where I can actually get some Unicorn Poop.  (Silicon Carbide: aka Carborundum) https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/listing/621730306/unicorn-poop-crystal-silicon-carbide

If I ever become a millionaire, I'm going to buy a big house. Then I'm going to have one of the rooms converted into a walk-in fridge. I'll then hide in it through the summer, and come out when the weather is marginally cooler. Roll on winter!

I want a bigger house too.

...I'd be happy with 1 BR bungalow that has a nice front porch to sit on and reasonable sized yard. Doesn't need a garage as I don't drive.

I knew a guy who's whole house was a violin repair shop.  Violins in this room, violas stacked up over in that room, and even his garage had equipment in it for rehairing bows.  No flooring anywhere in the house; not that I could see; it was just unfinished concrete pad everywhere.  But he did seem to have a functional kitchen.

No it's not; it's the red tide, which is worse than usual this year.

Come on, you were in IT...so you know that it's not necessarily the same people writing app code as doing server maintenance.

The ends of green beans turn brown before I can even get them home.  So yah, if they don't trim them, then that's just one more thing that I have to do.

+1 for a grocery store run!

Or you can do the instacart thing.  I did that once.  But I'm too cheap to make a habit of it.  Yeah, I cut my own grass too.

As to what I think of Mr. Magoo, don't ask me and I won't tell you.  It's not flattering, and it's not because of his purported age.
