Ugh, the new store is irritating as Hell and checking out felt like I was in a Fischer-Price acid dream, but...

..I got some new duds for Mike! :cheese:

The Regency outfit + expansion came to just under $14, I have $25 in the bank and tomorrow is Payday.. so.. :red:...

    _$14_?! ... you're not a member of PC or PC+ any more?

Nope, no point in it.. don't spend that much at Daz now, and less as time goes on. Most of my spare cash goes into gourmet coffee, eBooks, or upgrading my music software.. buying sound banks for the 3 main synthesizers I use is as bad as buying content! :ahhh:

Really? You've bought a lot in the last three months. Add up what you've spent over three months. Then subtract from that what the items would have cost for a PC member. If it's over $24, then you are wrong. If it's considerably over $24, you've really lost a lot. The free items alone sometimes make up for the monthly cost.

    Dana

I loaded up on a pile of project-specific content, then dropped the project into a FAR less content-hungry form. I could have saved money if I had joined the PC before the spending spree (stupid me), but at this point it's just the occasional thing that strikes my fancy.

It's a case of "too late"... :blank:

It's raining-been raining all day. So I can understand going slower than the posted speed limit. But driving 20mph in a 45 zone is not safe, especially if you are hogging the fast lane. With Fiancé home sick, I went a bit out of my way to a restaurant that we don't go to often and on my way back was stuck behind such person. I did finally managed to get around him and make it back to the office

..on Germany's Autobahn (as well as superhighways in many other nations) that person would be ticketed for unsafe driving as the left lane is for passing only (and is strictly enforced).

The driving tests in Germany are very difficult to pass, most here in the US wouldn't cut it.

i've discovered if i move my eyeglasses about an inch down my nose, my monitor gets less blurry. what does that mean?

i can't go through life with my glasses perched halfway down my nose. it's uncomfortable. but it's nice to read words on my computer.

    BATMANS! :ahhh:

Apparently it's actually owned by a dude with the last name of Batman. :blank: It's a gas station, a well-stocked convenience store, and a full kitchen in back with a small steam table out front. The kitchen is closed for dinner but breakfast and lunch, and it's ALWAYS packed. :bug:

It's right next to a place called Hero's.. how coincidental. :blank:

...irony can be quite ironic sometimes.

Love independent places that offer good eats. Feared it may have been Denny's. Never eating there again as the last time I went to one I was sick all day since they don't separate non-egg from egg orders on the grill.

We have a number of local places that serve decent food. I hear the coney dogs at Hero's are real good, their gyros rock and the avocado salad is HUGE with a whole avocado in it! :bug:

    ...current temperatures

    Amundsen-Scott: -27° F

    McMurdo, a balmy +15° F

...and in the Antarctic's "banana belt": Great Wall (China) with +41°F Get the aloha shirts and SPF 30 sunscreen out (shoot, that's warmer than Milwaukee right now).

Of course it is "summer" down there.

I wish my last name was really Batman, so when people ask me who I am I could honestly reply (in a deep growly whisper), "I'm Batman."

Monopoly needs more that 2 players to get a good game going. We have had games in the past that lasted all night.
