...true, but the idea is the same. So wonder what came first...?

Really? You wonder? I'm thinking an idea like that must have come from seeing it. I mean, how much really original stuff do you see around here? :smirk:

I can't force myself to write.. this sucks most mightily.

Conversely, the Ambient Online One Sample Dare has come again, and within 3 hours I have completed a track AND track art in Photoshop! :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: It bugs the HECK out of me that my writing Muse is insanely fickle while my music and art Muse will pop over for tea and crumpets any time I ask. WTF? :blank:

Regardless, I present to you - SURREALIST NIGHTMARE!

4 plus minutes of dark ambient soundscape. Keep the lights on when playing it. :bug: :gulp:

Sounds cool. Not what I'd call music, though. It falls more into the category of sound effects tracks. Still, pretty cool.

The original sample was of a guy pedaling on an ancient busted exercise bike.. the random rhythmical elements inspired me.. :red: :red:

Oh, this is definitely far outside what most people call music.. but Ambient has broken down into Ambient, Light Ambient, Dark Ambient, Cinematic, Soundscape.. this piece is more soundscape/tone poem than anything you could ever dance to. :blank:

That said, I have done some New Age and dance tracks.. none online right now, I'm already paying $100/year to host my tracks.

I should post links to Sol y Luna, more meditational/New Age. I seem to switch form Light to Dark to Light, as befits a serpent, I suppose. :blank:

    My main SoundCloud presence: http://soundcloud.com/synthetic_aurality

    This is a lightside piece I composed/performed for a dear friend: http://soundcloud.com/synthetic_aurality/angel-sunset
This one is also less terrifying: http://soundcloud.com/synthetic_aurality/sol-y-luna

I suspect soon I'm going to re-open my Internet radio station... :red: :red:

Good morning! Stay cool and dry!

We got a tropical storm blowing in after an ear popping wind change. Has been so dry this spring we're hoping for a good soaking rain :)

maybe Anne will do her raindance?

    with her special tambourine :)

I would have to go Downunder in order for my dance to work. Gotz no passyport either. Too damn cold here to be dancing around nekkid.

I don't have a passport, either. I guess maybe I should apply for one soon. Diane wants to see Niagara Falls, and it's best seen from the Canadian side. Plus I understand there are some cool museums there, like the wax museum.

Of course, I have no idea how we will afford to do that. I keep hoping I can get things straightened out and get my website earning money. But one frustration after another has made me walk away for a few weeks.

Need to work on some synaesthesia between your Muses... hear words in the music -> just write them down... alternatively, I guess you might end up composing operas :ohh:

oscar meyer gulf - what have people sacrificed for microwave cooking convenience.

neighbor offered to bring me hot food. inedible runny eggs with burnt cheese shreds.

it really doesn't take long to put a couple eggs and cheese shreds in a fry pan, with lots o butter.

    aghhh i'm hungry.

too early to order a pizza.

how much could a hot plate be? i should go get one. and a lectric tea kettle

It snowed here overnight. It looked like we got about an inch, but it's almost all gone now. So that's a complaint/non-complaint.

Turns out that the addon I am using is not aware of CloudFlare. I downloaded a new addon that displays information about the server that Firefox is connected to.

I am still waiting for my render to finish. The gogo lights that come with Shadow Play DAZ Studio Lights render slowly. I've let Daz Studio run for 25 minutes. Maybe 3Delight is calculating the shadows for the transmap hair.

...ahh shades of my early college days, hotplate (had a two ring one) and toaster oven (microwaves were still somewhat a novelty then and quite expensive). Didn't have a crock pot which was also a fairly "novel" appliance back then.

Currently have a mid 80s Amana "RadarRange™" (RS55) which I use now & then (mostly for popcorn or heating up leftovers). Still works great.

The tile floor will be easier to keep clean. Thinking of having the bath at my place redone with a tile floor.

...bugger, seems when there is a new release I am interested in purchasing, that's when the PA stores featured for the 40% discount have nothing I want or don't already have.

Are they going to put radiant heat under the tiles? That is best. Tiles can be cold.
