Morning. Sleepy Saturday morning, not much stirring in the big city so far, overcast gloomy and cool under a gunmetal grey sky a little after dawn :)

Sounds like a good day to sleep in. :)

If only but Saturday market is on, perhaps sleeps later :)

this is my interum kitchen til they hook my stove again,

i saw the new floor tiles. spiffy porcelain. haz to remember not to drop pots on it.

Are they going to put radiant heat under the tiles? That is best. Tiles can be cold.

...ugh, now Firefox is giving me grief. It starts to load but then hangs at about 138M and never completely finishes loading. I am unable to stop the process even through Task Manger . Seems there's some kind of strupid DLL failure causing it.

Trying to restart the notebook but appears it will not shut down. This occurred a while back and when I updated to the version I have now (which I rolled back to as the newest version keeps bloating and freezing up) it stopped doing this.

Really getting frustrated with this. The workstation was not built with heavy net use in mind. Just for DLing and installing content through the DIM and only going on line to DL freebies upload pics.and update utilities.

Ended up having to do a hard shut down. 40 minutes of my evening wasted on this rubbish.

    -----

Finally back on and FF opened with four tabs as if it had crashed during a session. I fully closed it down before shutting down the notebook earlier so I could run an errand. When I closed and opened it up again I got the Firefox "this is embarrassing" screen that only appears if it crashes. So I closed it down waited opened it again only to discover I had to log into my email (my email inbox is my "home page" and always comes up with me already logged in). I then clicked on an link in a forum reminder email and it took me directly to the login page. OK, I thought this is an improvement, until after signing in, I was misdirected to my account page rather than taken to the thread. I closed the tab clicked on the link again and immediately only to be sent right back to my account page instead of the thread.

When you log in, you should be returned to wherever you logged in from as used to be the case and not always sent to your account page every time (unless that is where you log in from).

It's getting to the point I feel I need to get some chicken blood, exotic herbs, some dark rum, various parts of a large cayman, cook them all together over a low flame, pour the mixture in a vial, put it in a bag and swing it around over my head while chanting in Creole when I log on.

Well, I'm logged in and new PC+ items are showing a high price. Iggy Hair for Gen and Gen2 is showing as $19.95. Another well tested site, I see. I even logged out and back in and it made no difference. Plus, now I have to Shift+Refresh to see the new products...every...single...day!

...not only that but there are something like eight new items on the min store page that are (were) listed as "free" (100%) but once in the cart they are not so free.

    Talk about sticker shock.

That would have been one of the best "glitch" sales yet.

The prices have been "fixed" now.

...and more "bugger" this time not with the site or logging in but the latest promo sale in the PC Anniversary: Fairy Creatures 50% off.

Among the different items listed is Giselle (the base figure and the bundles). Already had a qualifying New Release item (Medieval Adornments which is a PC item for 1.39$) so added the base Giselle figure along with the Naru character (perfect for creating elf teens, like Leela's best friend Tracey). Next entered the PC coupon code and hit "apply", - nothing happens. Go back to copy the code again (as the "e" key tends to flake out) to discover I had already used the PC coupon on the Geisha Bundle. Not a big deal, there's still the ShareCG 5$ one right?. Wrong. When I went to the site I discovered it was no longer there so most likely it expired midnight on Friday.(I thought it was good until the 30th).

    ------

    ETA:

...well turns out the Daz ad with ShareCG coupon code was still there, only on my system it was being blocked by the AdBlocker+ FF add on. Must have reset itself when I rolled back to the earlier version of FF as I had seen the ad the other day. When I disabled AdBlocker for ShareCG, the Daz advert with the coupon code reappeared, so I was able to get everything I originally had in the cart..

...just freakin' cold here. Took a walk earlier this evening and if felt more like mid January than mid November. Pulled out the extra blankets and am wearing extra layers already just to keep the bones & joints warm. Don't turn on the heat very much as the place has those "in wall" electric heaters, 'friad they'll burn the place down. At least the bedroom is right next to the furnace for upstairs so it gets some ambient heat.

Heading to low of 21 F before sunup and will barely break freezing later today. Well, have a lot of new things to play with from the PC sale so at least I'll be occupied during my mini hibernation.

Off to wrap myself up in a bundle of blankets as it's 03:30 here.

Glad to close the books on yesterday, felt more like a Friday the 13th instead of the 14th with all the things that went wrong..

...did I mention, I dislike winter?

    ...nite, all.

Hit 22F last night... brr.. was safe and snug indoors, though.

Going to hit 40F today.. break out the t-shirts :smirk: And then tomorrow, 90% CHANCE OF SNOW! :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:

OSU/UT game tonight at 6:30.. not sure which team to root for.. :blank:

I really need to go ut and buy a flannel shirt/gloves/warm hat today, but I feel highly unmotivated. It's 33F right now, and there's an hour and a half wait at the Walmart if I go shop there - and it's the nearest place to get clothes. :blank:

I need to find a mall on a bus route that runs more often. Blech.

*edit* Uh-oh, "rumbles from below".. looks like I'm going to be staying home today.. :long:
