I have to work on thanksgiving. It might not seem to be a big deal for some but buses do not run on thanksgiving day here. Also it looks like I have to work till two or three am.

...are they aware of that? 02:00 - 03:00, heck the buses here in Portland even go off before then on normal weekdays and supposedly we have one of the "better" transit systems in the nation.

Anyone else there able to give you a ride?

I'll have to look for flutterby lights. DD and I already have a few flutterby ornaments on our eclectic tree. A professional decorator told me many years ago that my tree was trashy and I should have a theme. My response: Each and every ornament has a special meaning to me and there is no way it will change other than adding more ornaments each year. So there! Surprisingly, he and I are still good friends.

...If a professional decorator came to my place, he or she would probably call both a Goodwill and Salvation Army truck in. and I'd wind up sitting and sleeping on the floor as I couldn't afford any of their redecorating/furnishing suggestions.

...I know more teens. One would think I should be excited, but not really. Belle looks like a shot Vicky with a teen's face, not as petite as Julie. I kind of like Brody though (actually wishlisted the bundle). Odd that only Belle has a Pro Bundle.

    Considering I have the following:

    Julie 5
    Justin 5
    Josie 6
    Giselle 6
Naara for Giselle (a more youthful looking character)
    Steph 6 (finally)
    Slender Steph 6
Tommi for V4 (through Gen X2)
The Growing Up morphs for both Genesis and G2

I think adding Brodie will give me a petty nice gene pool for preteens/teens

One thing that bothers me is the main promo pic for the Amazing Skins or Belle 6 where she is in the Grecian Goddess skimpwear. Ummm....she's supposed to be a teenager, like under 18. She should at lest be in something more "modest" like a swimsuit or strap top and shorts.

What I really want is Kitty2 and Buppy2.

Portland is beginning to live beyond it's means. Jobs here for the most part are low paying but the cost of living isn't reflecting that.

Brodie is wishlisted as I need a male teen. I already own Josie so my teen female needs are satisfied. The other true figure I have wishlisted is the Horse 2, so I can use the Nightmare character on it and get my firehorse.

Got some male clothes wishlisted, too.

But Portland still has the most microbreweries than any city in the world, according to one report I read! :bug: Over 60.. amazing.. :bug:

Tulsa, however, has just 2 microbreweries and it's hard to find a place that serves them. Housing costs are fairly low, gas is inexpensive, but some groceries are pretty pricey. Beer is CHEAP - a full pint of Rolling Rock Special (6.5% ABV high-point beer) is THREE BUCKS! :ahhh: And it's not half bad.. doesn't taste like Rolling Rock. We have a high-point Bud here that also doesn't taste anything like the bottled/canned swill.

For the cheap folks, I can get a bottle of Bud or Miller  for a buck and a half. :blank:

And yes, everything is billed as a new base now! Even though they're just morphs for the Genesis 2 figure (male or female), everything now gets its own starter kit and pro bundle. They've found a way to get a lot more money for each character morph! My question is, who can keep up with all this crap? On average, those who do have jobs are getting less pay than they used to.

It seems like a moneymaker, for sure. I'm so darn picky now I only order things I know I'll need, and that's darn little. I'm making most of my album and track art in Photoshop, I mainly render for fun or to inspire a new song.

It is just the wind. The house has a ridge soffit system. The ridge of the peak has a soffit and there are soffits under the eaves. It gives a good flow of air up there, and keeps it from getting too hot in the summer. It also keeps moisture from building up and causing mold. I have stuff stored up there, though, and that's what I can hear moving a little I guess. We've had some pretty hard gusts lately.

The house was built in 1998, so the roof is good for a while. I really need to paint the trim and facia, though. I'm not good with ladders. I don't know why. I'm not afraid of heights. We go to New Hampshire a lot and we've gone up Cannon Mt. a lot. There's a trail that goes around the edge and up to the summit from the tram station. There are a couple of places where you can step off onto a ledge and the view is amazing. Cars on the road in the valley look like little ants. I'm not afraid of that. So I don't know what it is, but I'm always iffy on a ladder.

Yeah, the new horse looks good...but I never used the old horse yet. That Hivewire horse looks really good, too. But they're all so expensive! I love AllesandoAM's animals! He does a really good job with them! And now they come with presets for the free Look At My Hair player, so that makes them even better. Still, haven't used anything in a long time, and haven't used any animals yet. But I have plans. Some day. I can dream.

Urgh, my brain hurts. :shut: :shut:

Finally finished the LCD and graphics code. The darn thing can do minor animation with pixel plotting, circles, and rectangles. I have text scrolling - with wrap-around - in all 4 directions. I've implemented a lot of redraw optimizations as well.

I even developed a micro particle system that does fireworks-like explosions.. on a microcontroller with 16K of RAM that costs 8 bucks. :bug: The display costs more, and it's just an 128x64 monochrome one. :bug:

Graphics demo tomorrow - should wow everyone, it has all the Engineering Department.

...after yesterday evening, mine too (see further below)

Ended up getting the base Mei Lin 6 character anyway. Couldn't resist as for a while she was discounted at 75% making the price 10.07$ and I had the Twitter 2 coupon so I was able to get he for 8$ and change. Also picked up a cute Japanese looking character for her at 1.39$.

Now I can update the Kyoto Kid character to G2 as I also picked up a really nice ponytail hairstyle (in the V4/M44 80% sale which I can manually fit to G2) that has both body and excellent length morphs which don't distort the shape.

Pretty "sales-ed out" for now. Got fairly weird near the end when with about 90 minutes to go (Daz Time), all the 99¢ sale items reverted back to the normal 1.99$ price and all the older PC items went to full retail price. Wanted to get the Historical Masonry Shaders Vol 1, to "round out" my cart so I could use the 4$ off 20 coupon as without them I was still a bit short. Waited as long as possible to see if there would be a fix, but ended up having to scramble around at the last minute to find something to stick in as a substitute (a set of sci-fi guns from the V4/M4 sale that will at least see some use) to make 20$ minimum.

This was really poor timing on Daz's part to roll out a new site update during the middle of one of their biggest sales events, for a lot of the issues people were having during the sale were most likely due to the instabilities caused by it.
