    OMG Stuffed! :bug:

Hit Speedy Gonzalez for Huevos Rancheros, and it was HUGE! 4 eggs on top of 3 tortillas, all soaked in a home-made medium-spicy Ranchero sauce! :bug:Sooooooooooooo Gooooooooooooooood.. :red:

Got to-go for tomorrow: beef quesadilla,HUGE bag of chips, pint of salsa, pint of queso. I'm all set to stay home and watch football! And WAY cheaper then delivery pizza or Chinese. :)

Finishing up a dark ambient track for a Dark Holiday collection, need to have it done by Black Friday (heh, how appropriate). Making it extra creepy! The title is "A Strain on Sanity"... :vampire:

    ...up late last night.

    ...woke up late today.

As I feared, Iowa giving Wisky trouble score 19 - 17 in favour of the Badgers in the 4th quarter, and Wisky just scored to make it 26 - 17.

No 35 - 40 point blowout this weekend though, just hope they hang on to win. Minnesota upset Nebraska so it comes down to next week's contest between Wisky and Minn to see who goes to the Championship game from the Big Ten West. Ohio State won today clinching the Big Ten east and spot in the big game.

...arrgh on three big plays and Iowa just scored making it 26 - 24, and they started the drive in the shadow of their goalpost.. Where the heck is the Badger defence I saw the previous several weeks?

Morning. Feels hot and warming up an hour or so after dawn, meanwhile pictures of snow are all over breakfast TV from the US I think (?) making for a contradictory feel to the day so far

It's up to 56F here, but most of the country is buried in snow - at least in the Northeast and Midwest. :bug:

Our weather is "warm enough", but "warm enough to have a beer on the bar patio" would be nicer!

*edit* Reality 4 looks interesting.. will probably get it even if my renders will take foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :blank:

The snow is on our TV news, looking awesome and bleak all at once :)

It's wild to look at.. very otherworldy when it snowed here, could barey see 5 feet.. then everything covered in a blanket of glistening white crystals..

But not so much fun to have to go out in! :ahhh:

    Time for more coffee...

An all white world sounds spakly and grim. We were wondering where all the rain went this year and now its turned up frozen on the other side of the worl

Finally finished the LCD and graphics code. The darn thing can do minor animation with pixel plotting, circles, and rectangles. I have text scrolling - with wrap-around - in all 4 directions. I've implemented a lot of redraw optimizations as well.

I even developed a micro particle system that does fireworks-like explosions.. on a microcontroller with 16K of RAM that costs 8 bucks. :bug: The display costs more, and it's just an 128x64 monochrome one. :bug:

Graphics demo tomorrow - should wow everyone, it has all the Engineering Department.

Never tell a game developer "Bet you can't make fireworks on that"... :smirk: :smirk: :smirk:

Many congratulations, know from experience who tedious and painstaking that can be :(

...actually broke 50° for the second time in almost two weeks here under cloudy but not rainy skies

Oy, using good clock management with running plays, Wisky held on to defeat Iowa 26 - 24. Total nail biter of a game . Now it's "must win" situation back home next week against Minnesota.

...and once again, Florida State eked out another win today in the waning moments this time against Boston College. How they can remain in the top 5 with all the struggles they had (several against much lesser opponents) like today is a mystery..

Big upset of the day so far, Arkansas shut down and shut out #8 Ol' Miss 30 -0. Rebels committed a total of six turnovers (3 fumbles and 3 interceptions) including one that was run back by the Hogs, for a 100 yd touchdown.

Blowout of the day so far #10 Georgia, though over some small nameless "cupcake" college 55 - 9. almost doesn't qualify as a game.

#2 Oregon is pummeling Colorado, 44- 10 at the start of the 4th quarter though QB Marcus Mariota is done for the day after an incredible performance with 323 passing yards with TDs, and 73 yards rushing with 1TD.

...apologies for the misunderstanding, The story I am working on involves two of the main characters who, while they may be "adult" in age (according to UK standards in 2060 and even today) they have the appearance of young teens (12 - 13) There is more behind this of course but it would take far more space than offered here to explain and it would spoil a major part of the story to discuss here. I have to walk very fine line in how they are portrayed including manner of dress for though in most of the story they are "legal" adults not only in the UK but most of the NEEC (the European economic community in 2060) they would appear to be underage especially here in the US.

No issue about that. Well now I understand if you have thought for a while of this legal adults issue that you are very sensitive on this subject. So you are working on a story? What format? Book, comics, mixed media? I hope you will tell us here when the story is over, now that you have gave us some little clues about it :)

There are differing social backgrounds here and, in this country specifically, there is an abundance of overkill on just about any topic. Maybe you are European, I don't know. They have a more laid back attitude about such things, in other words...they're not so uptight. Another thing is the abundance of skimpwear sold here kind of desensitises people to the arty side of...art. People just figure it to be another skimpwear render. I can see your intent in the image, however.

As an example of how over the top they go in this country, and the complete hipocritical attitudes and reactions, a young boy maybe six years old, was in the shcool cafeteria this week and he pointed his finger at another student like we used to do as kids and made a ray gun sound. The other student reported him and the school suspended him, because it was a threat. They've ostricized him for a little play. And yet, a teacher at a high school or college, I forget which, was frustrated with a class who didn't seem to study at all and had no reaction or comment on his lecture. He looked around at all the blank faces and then loudly asked, "Does anyone have a gun? Does anyone have a gun so I can blow my f***ing brains out?" To me, that was much more shocking than the little boy. Yet this guy is still in his class teaching. In the first case, they greatly overreacted. In the second case, they didn't react enough.

    And that's my complaint.

    Dana

You won, I'm European! And it seems that may have I underestimated the cultural differences which exist. I'm completely impressed by what you are writing here, both stories sounds crazy, sur-realistic, and I would even not been able to tell which one shocks me the most!
What I know is that if each kids in the school of my son were suspended because they "threaten" the others with fake ray guns, well.. the school would be empty in less than one day! Unbelievable:)

...the story will be an illustrated one more like a classic storybook, not a full graphic novel, for there is a lot of complex background that would be difficult to convey in a comic style format. It will also be "Net published" as "fan fiction" (so as to avoid any infringement issues) since it does rely loosely on an RPG world setting which is where the main character and background came from. So yeah, I won't make any living from it, but that is not the reason I am writing it, I just want to tell a story.
