I don't understand the interest to put an orange dialog to tell it should be in our products listing while it's not. As a developer, it's not difficult to FIRST add product to SEASON PASS owners and THEN display an orange message.

This. That isn´t rocket science. And if you´re unable to program it yourself - use a scheduling system. It will take care of such issues.

The War Goblin Poses are not in my Product Library. When I go to the product page, they are not marked as purchased. When I put them in the cart, they do not ring up as Free.

But I've got two orange banners that tell me something different should have happened.

Same here and the new banner is offering me 15% off of a  bundle I already own

No war goblin poses here also.   I also recieved an offer for a Bundle I already have and a War Goblin Poses that I don't have but should.

Add me to the list of folks with no pose set in my Product Library and with a price showing for them in the store. If this was supposed to be an early promo for Ensary's product, it failed.

  • $150-$250 for two months is a steep price for mere "support" - for that people want something meaningful in return. How many people sign up to support artists on Patreon for two months at $150 - $250? If companies want support, they shouldn't be counting on generosity from their customers, they should offer something worth the price they're charging. It's not something they deserve for merely existing. Users may consider what a company thinks of them when deciding whether to support them. Platinum Club already exists as a premium subscription to support Daz. I'll admit I had a higher opinion of Daz before their NFTs and the Season Pass and especially their handling of the drama. I have however carefully checked this post for anything the mods could remove it for, and aside from this sentence acknowledging mods do moderate content, looks like it should be safe.

Errr... that's hardly a good comparison. First, I still don't understand why some people keep talking about the SP thing as if it is a subscription for x amount of months. It is not. It is for the content described there. Much more like a videogame's season pass, not like a Patreon subscription where you only get whatever they manage to make during those 2 months. Second, it's not like you are getting nothing, just the 5 figures and their HD morphs are already worth the 150$. I finally got Torment 8.1 and the HD morph a couple of days ago because I managed to pile a discount over another discount and, how much did it cost? Basically 30$. Right now I can't remember the sale and the total discount amount but it was pretty good.

So really, the support is not giving them extra money, it's just giving them the money upfront. Of course, that is if you usually get most, if not all, the core figures and the HD anyway. If you don't... then no...the SP was not for you, and it was never meant to be for eeeverybody. Also, some people don't think the characters are worth even that amount of money saying PAs release cheaper characters with the same quality if not better, and while I mostly disagree (particularly with the HD morphs), I wouldn't argue, to each their own and all that. But then...again... not meant for them.

I do agree that keeping on the note of "not meant for everyone" the webinar probably shouldn't have been part of the SP and that it was only really worth it as Platinum. But other than that, I don't care about the NFT drama, I think NFT is extremely dumb and if it's not making money as I think will be the case, it will just go away eventually, not going to raise my torch and pitchfork over that. So, my support is not just for them existing, is for them running, mantaining and updating this app and the whole Genesis thing. Sure, it could be better, but if you take a look at Poser's current state... it could also be much worse. And those are pretty much the only options for me, not having the time to deal with the complications of exporting the scenes to Blender (maybe someday if stuff like soft body physics never gets introduced to Daz or I make a switch to AMD)

I am echoing... I have another Orange banner. But no product, a discount on something I already bought...  and add no email to thing I should have gotten an email to.

I think at this point it would be having the poses that was newsworthy. We did ping Daz yesterday, and the poses were supposed to be added at noon - we pinged again after that, and again after the store rollover, but it was the weekend so I would think now it will not be fixed until they start waking up and coming on line. I realise that a non-appearing freebie, even if it is a bonus on what was originally promised, is extremely frustrating.

On the webinar link, I will ask if we can share it at least privately with those we can see have the membership. It may be worth a support ticket in case there's an issue with your account, but my suspicion would be that some filter along the route from Daz to your email inbox knocked the message out - clearly most people received them OK so it seems unlikely to be a general issue at the Daz end.

Also echoing on the goblin poses issue. It's supposed to be free for sp holders but it's nowhere to be seen (the main page states to check on the product library but nothing there either.

Do you know how frustrating it is to hear speculatation that the problem wasn't a problem because most people didn't have the problem?

Almost as frustrating as the only security to the thing paid for was that the link wasn't distributed. But was posted online free to find on other websites.

Checked Content Library - nope - no war goblin poses

    Checked Product Library - nope

Since I'm not the only one with the problem, opening a ticket seems unneccisarily time consuming for me and whatever CSR has to respond to the dozens of people who don't have it.

As an aside - product specific poses for a product I'd never want are a pretty lame bonus freebie - and it's not a freebie if I paid to get it. Granted, the freebie had no impact on my decision to get the Season Pass but I was reluctant to buy it and this kind of freebie makes me feel like I might have made the wrong decision.

The Saturday webinar with Jay Versluis was excellent and so far, my favorite part of the Daz Season Pass... thanks for setting that up Daz!

I too have the orange banner, but no Warrior Goblin Poses in my Product Library (yet), and the product page does not have the "Purchased" label.  I'm sure Daz will work things out when they get into the office this morning.

I also have the orange banners and the product isn't available as free to download today...  also, the last character was supposedly available early (before it was for sale on the site - in order to get a head start working with it for the contest) and the link to it just led to an Oops error page...  Not that big of a deal to me, but it is annoying to spend time trying to download something that hasn't been made available yet.  Why not make sure that the product is set up to go before you put the banners up?  We will all save valuable time that way and you won't have to read these complaint threads...

The product page wasn't available (because it wasn't released yet), but the character was in the product library before anyone had the chance to buy it.

And another +1 for no goblin poses .. why does that sound like they should be from 'that other site'? cheeky

    Never received an email either.

FYI, since Richard said it was okay to send it to people who have the SP flair, I sent the link to the webinar to each of you in your forum messages, which are different from the Daz site messages, by the way... (Click on the Gear/settings icon in the blue Daz3d Forums bar.)

If anyone with the SP flair needs the link, just comment in here and hopefully me or someone else will notice it.

Actually I said I would ask if it was OK - it seems reasonable, but I didn't ant to take it for granted.

Freebie is now in my library

  • AtiAti Posts: 9,129

Ah, it has arrived, indeed! :)

What do we know about the discount on the item we already have? Is the discount supposed to be for that item, or another one?

  • Jason GalterioJason Galterio Posts: 2,562

I have the item now as well.

Everything around information about the SP has been a challenge from a SP-holder's perspective. We've come to expect a certain information gap, but with the SP, it's felt a lot more uneven. The webinar itself was quite good, but then can we even share information that we learned from it? (not to mention the link) Like, everything other than the existence of the Filament node... how and why you might use the node, for instance.

It's weird having information, as a user, that I'm not sure I can share with other users.

It would be nice if SP holders had a space to discuss SP items like this and share SP-related information.

ok. so from what I've read... we have our freebie. YAY!
and if you have not seen the webinar from Saturday, I recommend it!  I'm happy to share the link with you privately if you have the SP Flair.

Is it free if you need to buy something that you not own... and don't want? I'm really disappointed about that behavior...

It should be a freebie that is more universal and without an additional need to buy something. just my opinion... sad

Oh just look at my badge... I'm an SP buyer... frown

There has already been a lot of discussion about the Filament node, suggested settings, sample renders, bugs identified and reported, etc. Mec4D shared a lot of valuable tips for everyone months ago. Here is one thread where Mec4D suggests setting Filament ISO Scale to 0.56. That has worked pretty well for me. That thread is worth reading through from start to end, if you are interested in Filament. Maybe you got more and better tips in the webinar. If you are restricted from sharing information, you can at least share your successful renders, can't you? I'd enjoy seeing them.

The SP freebie is free without having to buy anything else (if you're a pass holder). It's in your product library (now), you don't even have to "buy" it.

The Filament tips in the webinar weren't so much about Filament itself, but how he used a Filament viewport as part of the process in evaluating decisions on how to light a scene for Iray.

The webinar output was Iray render, but he did make good use of Filament viewports to achieve the end result. (And in that regard, it was really interesting to see how he did the work even if the 3-point lighting theory is not unfamiliar.)

I keep meaning to try to learn how to do better work in Filament, but there hasn't been the time lately.

If you need to buy another product to actually have a use for it, then from that pespective it is not free; at best is a perk in case you have want to buy something else in particular.

Sure, this was not one of the "main" freebies so DAZ is not obligated no matter what perspective we use. But if we consider you point of view as valid, then DAZ would have the option in the next SP to give a texture addon as one of the main freebies. We suck of those constantly on the (tri)weekly freebies, but that is free marketing; if you pay, then is something else.

I haven't downloaded it yet, I have something rendering, but I never use any pose sets for the character it was intended for and I'm 99.9% positive that you will be able to use these poses on any G8M character. You might have to do some very minor tweaking, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

  • Robert FreiseRobert Freise Posts: 4,433

Since the Warrior Goblin is based on the G8.1 male the poses will probably work with the G8.1 and G8 male figures as it lists them under Compatible Figures
