Same here. I'm not interested in 90% of fantasy assets, so it'll just be yet another useless frebie. Better to give freebies that don't depend on characters people may or may not have.
Well it is 6am in MDT where Daz lives (and me in Denver) and I expect they are not up yet. And no gift yet, but thanks Chris for elevating this.
I have the character but even if I didn't I might be able to use the poses for another male character with some adjustments. Depends on what poses are in the pack.
I missed the tutorial yesterday, I was trying to work and realized it was on. But my eyes are messed up and I can now barely see out of both right now. But, can someone post a link to the recorded tutorial? I see others have reviewed it who seem to not have been there. When I can see again easily, I would like to watch it.
Mary
Orange banner has disappeared and nothing in messages also no product in library
It should go up at noon Daz time, in a bit under four hours (I think).
Yep, now at 8:47am MDT here. Thanks Richard.
Webinar replay is available.
As for the link? Uhhhh... it's not officially in the Daz Youtube channel, and my replay link is defined as "Unlisted" (so, not indexed, I don't think?).
I don't think I am allowed to post the link? I don't know. I'll let the mods handle that.
I used the same link to the webinar as I received in my Daz email on Friday afternoon, under Subject: "Live Webinar for Platinum & Gold Season Pass Members". The recording is up (including the recording of the chat, which is not live chat anymore).
So you can see my ascii-emoji in the chat... ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
(I created a render, sort of in the style of the webinar output, and put that in the Jacqueline thread.)
Orange banner is back and still no product in library as of yet
No new orange banner but text in messages again - nothing in library or DIM
It's the same banner, so if you closed it it won't reopen. We have sent a query about the whereabouts of the product.
I see recognizeable Daz assets or at least the aesthetics used all the time for book covers and tabletop RPG game art. I've also seen a lot of non-prony portraits of people's D&D or other RPG characters, and a few webcomics (though Daz webcomics lean heavily towards prony or become that over time). An author I know, their first over artist used Daz (didn't recoginize the specific assets, but I recognized the Daz-zy and Iray "look") so when their cover artist stopped doing books, I also used used Daz assets for their next book. I like to think mine is less recognizable since I rendered in Blender, kitbashed heavily as I always do, and some of the materials/textures are quite different from the original, plus my postwork leans heavy and the forest is my own creation in Blender, but the characters may still be recognizable. If you have an eye for it, you'll be surprised some of the places it shows up.
But it also gets used heavily for 3D pron, and there's an entire marketplace dedicated specifically for that..
$150-$250 for two months is a steep price for mere "support" - for that people want something meaningful in return. How many people sign up to support artists on Patreon for two months at $150 - $250? If companies want support, they shouldn't be counting on generosity from their customers, they should offer something worth the price they're charging. It's not something they deserve for merely existing. Users may consider what a company thinks of them when deciding whether to support them. Platinum Club already exists as a premium subscription to support Daz. I'll admit I had a higher opinion of Daz before their NFTs and the Season Pass and especially their handling of the drama. I have however carefully checked this post for anything the mods could remove it for, and aside from this sentence acknowledging mods do moderate content, looks like it should be safe.
I would not post the link. everyone who has a season pass got an email with the link
Except me I guess
Never received an email either.
Yeah, I'd prefer for Daz folks to post the link, myself.
I have no idea how secret the link is supposed to be (or not).
I wish they'd answer more questions about that, but many things around the pass have been needlessly secretive IMO.
I'd like to make sure that I receive the next link, but I have no idea who to contact or why I didn't receive the last one.
I guess I will chat them up and see if we can work out a handy solution
9 PM central time and the SP freebie still not in my product library
What is going on at Daz these days? Seems every part of the Season Pass fulfillment has failed, and they're not getting better at it.
No new product here either. Since I never received the email for the lesson, I'm not sure if something happened to my Season Pass.
I don't think I see the poses available either, but I haven't really looked, to be honest.
That's good to know that it isn't just me.
Ditto
It's not really any worse than the everyday promotions, discounts and coupons, though.
The War Goblin Poses are not in my Product Library. When I go to the product page, they are not marked as purchased. When I put them in the cart, they do not ring up as Free.
But I've got two orange banners that tell me something different should have happened.
Same here and the new banner is offering me 15% off of a bundle I already own
I still don't have the free Goblin poses :(
I don't understand the interest to put an orange dialog to tell it should be in our products listing while it's not. As a developer, it's not difficult to FIRST add product to SEASON PASS owners and THEN display an orange message.
And worst I can purchase it :
Same here. What a mess! Disappointed
While I've had the occasional trouble with a promotion or coupon in the past, it was rare, but now it seems like a regular occurance, and the Season Pass rollout has been shocking. Daz hasn't managed to release either of the characters 24 hours early (not that a day early is a head start worth mentioning, but it is supposed to be one of the perks of joining Special Platinum Club the Season Pass), at least one person never got their email invite to the SP webinar, new submissions to the contest started removing hashtags from previous submissions (I wouldn't expect the gallery programming to allow one image's hashtag to have any affect on a separate unrelated image's hashtags, and apparently no one knows how to fix it since they're doing e-mail submissions this time), and the "freebies" don't seem to be coming out properly when SP folk are alerted to their availability.
Poser had it's decline, and I thought Daz was going strong but between the NFT stunt, then the Season Pass stunt, then the frequent technical failures for both the site and content delivery, nevermind the QA issues and general crotchety vibes coming from the Daz side, I'm not so sure anymore. Seems like Tafi is de-emphasizing Daz3D and pushing more towards NFTs and their silly VR stuff that I can't picture profitably displacing the core Daz market as their main business. None of this is illegal or improper so this is not a "speculative accusation of illegal or improper behavior," it merely looks illogical and concerns me about Daz's future. Sure looks like a rough patch at least.
Same here. I got a discount on a product I already have, and don't have the freebie in the product library, nor does it become free in the cart.
