Bought the Fitness Set Bundle earlier and immediately after the purcahse get an orange banner telling me that as I had soem of the poducts I coudl get it at a discount .. yeah, I JUST bought all items via the bundle (not having previously owned them!)
Unfortunately for me, I was thrilled to get the starters for all the pro bundles I owned, so I did buy a lot, which is probably why my account is still messed up. Seems to me we should be able to get those for nothing anyway, if they won't mark them for us as owned, so why the panic move from DAZ? I have tried hiding them, but that never lasts, unfortunately. I need to get some of those items back asap because of competitions I need to enter in the next few days but I doubt anyone is working over the weekend on this. Wouldn't a simple order cancel have been better? I had an order cancelled in the past after one of these glitches, and it didn't affect my inventory.
I was told that they are restoring all the items, but it looks like they underestimated the amount of people affected. Hopefully they won't forget to apologize. I'd never heard of removed orders until the Storepocalypse when Daz removed 21 of my orders and then locked me out of my account for a week and a half. Good times.
17 pages your lucky I have 163 pages as far as I know haven't lost anything but 163 pages probably wouldn't know unless there was something specific wanted to use I knew I had, though last few months a lot of new releases that have still not been sorted in proper locations yet and other problems
Out of three of my orders, two orders were "returned". Those two orders contained a total of 65 bundles of which I already owned all contents. Mostly Starter Bundles of which I previously bought the Pro-Bundle (hidden somewhere in 132 pages of orders), but also things like the Karly Bundle, the Get Well Soon Bundle and the Dandelion bundle. And even one pro-bundle (Keiko 6).
When browsing through todays' "Select Daz Original Items" to use the couponcode, I actually have to double check whether the things I like aren't part of some bundle I technically already own. That's pretty inconvenient shopping, and if that persists, I might feel inclined to make some other 3D asset store my main source of assets, just to prevent any double purchases.
Back when DAZ_Rawb started this thread, I thought the title "Daz Math 201" was clever since we users tend to make jokes about "Daz Math". But it's turned out to be yet another source of jokes / complaints. Sad.
I'm glad that other sites that offer this sort of feature, e.g. Steam, released it in working condition.
Are those of you with items still missing people who had puchased one or more free Pro Bundles? Or rather, to save posting, is there anyone with a returned item or item(s), still missing products, who did not puchase a Pro Bundle for free? I'm going to ask if the restoration is still in progress anyway, but ti would be helpful to be clear whether it's only the orders with free Pro Bundles that caused issues.
Two of my three orders got returned, only one of those two had a pro-bundle (Keiko 6).
The one order that did not get returned, I made late in the evening. The two that did get returned, I made early in the morning, shortly after Rawb posted about the new feature.
I'm not sure whether the free starter bundles were meant to be cancelled or not, but I am told that all the missing products should have been reinstated by now. If you still have issues please open a support ticket, though it may be worth noting it here (with the order number) in case there is a whole group that has been missed.
Things just got restored. For some, I got to keep the bundle, for others I didn't, but the contents of all bundles are properly assigned again, so I'll just see if the option to get the "bundle" component becomes available some other time again. I was already keeping an eye out for some of the bundles to go cheap for a while, for completionist purposes, lol.

Hopefully everyone affected by "item returns" get their inventory (and their trust) restored. It seems like the sales team is working hard to make it right.
Having this new "bundle discount feature" being applied to a small subset of bundles on a promotion page (where the offer expires at DAZ midnight) seems to have caused a lot of issues for everyone involved... for both customers and the sales team.
After reading that 35 people had individual items from PRO BUNDLES (that they PAID FOR) removed after starter bundles were "returned", had me obsessively double-checking through my entire order history and product library; but alas, it looks like I just got lucky... nothing appears to have been removed.
The whole Starter Bundle not showing as purchased when you purchased a Pro Bundle (that includes all the Starter Bundle content) thing has been a longstanding issue for many of us long-time customers. We've tried to get around these missing store features by using third party browser extensions like the DAZ DEALS plugin to hide bundles (that just have items we've already purchased), but this gets really tedious... and manually hiding items with the DAZ DEALS plugin can cause other unintended consequences... the HIDE ITEMS feature can inadvertently hide new releases in published artist pages.
It would save us all so much headache if bundles consisting of items we've already purchased, simply showed as purchased, so we could easily hide these with the Hide Items I Own checkbox in the SHOP page.
This new bundle discount feature finally gave us a way to do this... but... attaching it to a promotion that expires, instead of rolling it out as a store-wide feature for all bundles... seems to have caused a ton of customer confusion, and many unintended consequences.

I just found this thread and what strikes me may be a larger issue than just a glitch. In the past, when Daz had unusually low sales prices ( a glitch ), they just accepted it. Since when did they start unpurchasing things [ that were sold and bought at an agreed upon price - even a glitch price ]? Does it make a difference that it was zero dollars? I know much has been discussed in other threads about what to do during a glitch [ I personally try to limit my buying to just one or two items in my wishlist by choice when I think a glitch is happening ] ... but having Daz unpurchase / return something sounds new to me.
Edit: Also, what they are trying to accomplish with the bundle discount sounds great. It is sad that it opened with such a problem for everyone.
It is relatively new and very concerning. The first time I've known them to do that was in January of this year when all RawArt's products were free because a glitch but then taken back from those that got them. At the time it was stated that there wasn't a change of policy. But now we see a second incident of taking back products from a glitch.
I had orders with only starter bundles returned. Which didn't make sense to me as they were starter bundles to pro bundles I already owned.
I will have to put through a ticket because the partial returned orders had items that were not reinstated that I actually paid for, and I see no refund on my store credit. And I did not get to keep any of the starter bundles at all that I can see.
Seems like there are different sets of rules for different people.
Had Daz said there had been a mistake and they were cancelling the orders, it would have been TONS better than what they did. I will now have to comb through every single thing to make sure the items are back, and just in the first ten minutes I found items still missing.
I'm not a lawyer, but as far as I know, it works like this;
Yes, it makes a difference; if someone gives you something for free, it constitutes a gratuitous gift which (in general) isn't binding.
It gets messier if they accidently sell you something at a ridiculously low price; it requires them to argue that you wouldn't reasonably believe it was being sold to you at that price, like if a shop sold you a brand new car for $1, a reasonable person would realise this was a mistake.
Without requoting your entire post, my orders looked quite similar - I was thrilled to be able to "buy" the starter bundles for which I already owned the pro bundles to get them to not show up anymore when doing searches. The fact that they returned them created a gigantic mess, whereas, had they not panicked and returned these orders, they could have seen what a bunch of us were doing, and that we already owned the items, and could have let those orders stand. And it wasn't just starter bundles - there were other bundles I purchased that day where I already owned every single item. Those were returned as well. They could have allowed them to stand when they "fixed" our inventories (mine is still not correct), but chose not to, so what started out as a really great day turned into a several-days nightmare.
I have put in a terse support ticket.
Still waiting here as well with no response. Might have to send in a support ticket rather than just replying to the email as instructed. Even without the 130+ pages of orders some people have, it's still basically impossible to go through everything that's been bought over the years to find what's missing. I'm really hoping the folks at DAZ have a way to do that themselves, especially since I don't reckon the onus should fall on the customer to correct the mistake as is sometimes the DAZ policy
@arks0ng Mate, do not assume that anyone is minding your till. You should definitely send in a ticket with as much documentation (Order #s, screenshots, etc.) listed as concisely as possible. Begin and end with a salutation/greeting. The person helping you is not one of the people who caused this problem. Do as much of the prep work as you can.

Put one Starter Bundle I own the Pro Bundle in cart, one I missed to put there last time, showed in cart with $0, no payment needed.
Probably have a masochistic disposition.
For the rest of this sale - not interrested in old stuff I ignored 6 or more Years ago for 30% off.
I just 'purchased' all the starter bundles that I already own the corresponding Pro bundles for, for $0. This just clears them from showing up when in the store in the future if you have 'hide items I own' enabled.
Well, it is a nice to finally have this feature, as it only makes sense to do.
I am honestly not surprised that it had problems. I mean, I've lost track of the last time a big sale did not have a problem! Have we actually had a big sale go off without a hitch in recent memory? I had considered jumping on all the Starter bundles that I already own, but I am so glad I hesitated. I'll keep waiting.
And oh yeah, I do not like thechange in policy. And it is a change. There are statements in the forums discussing price glitches with staff saying it was ok because it was their own fault. With all the crazy sales that Daz rolls out, and that tehy do give away things for free, seeing absurd prices on something does not phase me, because Daz frequently will have absurd prices or even stuff for free. And I'll say the same thing, making things overly complicated tends to lead to having complications. It is a basic design principle. By having all these wacky stacking sales with other stipluations it only opens up the door for complications to happen. History has proven this over and over, and we have the long, long threads to show for it.
LOL! I think from now on, I'll just rather hide items via DazDeals!
That's my big concern, too. After reading the horror-stories here, is it now safe to buy the free bundles?
The banner is now gone. So I guess I had this roughly 10 minutes after waking up to decide. I'll take that as a sign. :D
