...yep, I can definitely see the inspiration.

..crikey was so cold Saturday night/Sunday morning I kept pulling leg cramps in bed..  Dug our all the winter blankets for the bed. as well as heavier winter clothing from the closet.  Slept much better last night.

Still trying to keep from  turning the heat on as that sends my power bill skyrocketing (very inefficient electric heat).

yeah a whole cheesecake of slices would be a struggle, this is fortunately things like coffee cake, red velvet, black forest etc and they go down quite easily.

Have eaten half of it now as it was for quick sale and freezing probably not great for the frosting  and cream.

that said I did get indigestion

    I guess inspired by McGyver?

    Complaint.

...seems now, to unlock any discounts, even on a flash sale, requires buying something else first.

my mini PC won't boot when the 2.5 inch SATA hard drive is connected.  i was about to make a backup of the hard drive today too.

If it's an internal hard drive connecting to motherboard SATA port, and if you have an M.2 hard drive also on the motherboard, check the asterisks and fine-print footnotes of the manual for the motherboard, to make sure that use of the M.2 port hasn't disabled or precluded the use of one of the SATA ports.  On some boards, it's an either/or situation for one or two of the internal ports.   indecision

I thought someone stole my cvs package of gummy worms.  I panicked.  Then it turned out someone was waiting for a good time to give the package to me.

I had thoughts about getting into 3D printingcool, but the more I looked into it, the more I began to think that it was another black hole into which one throws moneysurprise.  Consumable materials, of varying grades, types, strengths, limits on the build area, and another long learning curve and experimentation for three years until you can feel confident about a projectfrown.

So, I saved several thousand dollars and just closed the catalog.indecision

I wish I had (not catalogue. It was a webpage).

It's really not for everyone (me, especially). I spent hours (over several nights) trying to level the bed. The only thing it did print was "configuration lines".

My back-up plan was to buy an auto bed leveller, but I just didn't want to waste anymore money on it. Plus, there was a good chance that it need a replacement magnetic bed.

Reviews posted on/in Youtube videos were saying that it's "beginner friendly" - ROFL!! The next time I hear that term "beginner friendly", someone will be getting a sl*p.

I really feel like I was conned.

Ah well, good riddance, and a lesson learned. I think I'll stick with gaming.

(I really sold 3D Printing as a great hobby there, didn't I... lol - Sorry).

Had a couple of "annual injections" today (the flu vaccine being one of them). No one else in my family had nausea. Just me - Who happens to have a phobia of being sick.

Daz has frozen.... And again... And again... I really hope the RAM hasn't become loose again. I can't face moving furniture, and pulling all of those leads again.

Non-Complaint:  Wheee..., my last package has arrived.  Yay!  Finally I can complete my project (gluing a new newel post cap on my porch stair bannister)smiley

Complaint:  The package was completely empty!surprise  It's one of those Amazon plastic mailing bags, and the sticky top flap was folded down upon itself, never touching the other lip of the bag so the bag was obviously sent, completely unsealed, into the postal delivery system where, somewhere, is a tube of silicon caulk rolling around in a delivery van.frown

Note:  Yes, I do order cheap, basic hardware stuff from Amazon.cheeky  Remember, I live in the outback of NY State without a car.  Getting to a decent hardware store is problematic.  Amazon, the Post Office, UPS, and FedEx are my best friends.indecision  (and only visitorssad)

Edited to add:  So what do you think Amazon has asked me to do to get satisfaction?  They've authorized me to return the empty envelope to the UPS store and have pre-paid UPS to send the empty envelope back to them before they send me a new $7 tube of silicon caulk.frown  However, returning something to the UPS store means I need to take a trip into the local city, which is, as stated earlier, problematic.sad  I should probably just order a new tube of caulk and hope the packer understands how those envelopes work and seals it properly this time.  (*sigh*)  Although I could get great satisfaction by causing Amazon to pay  delivery costs two more times, for their screwup.devil

LG can't you call the UPS store and schedule a pick up?

  • Do they do that?  (i.e. schedule a UPS pickup?)  I thought only authorized locations did pickups.indecision  Places like businesses or official UPS stores.

The ironic twist to this situation is that there is a hardware store across the street from the UPS store.frown

Technically speaking black holes don't suck as suction is caused by pressure differential. They bend space-time so objects that get too close to black holes fall inside it instead of being sucked in. You are perfectly safe from a black hole as long as your velocity keeps you outside the trajectory that takes you within the black hole. You can even orbit black hole safely*. This is the same reason why earth doesn't fall into sun - it has high enough speed to miss the sun but low enough that it can't escape its pull entirely (and thus fly out of the solar system)... so really, earth's path around the sun is just a collection of missed attempts to hit the sun. laugh

*though the orbit paths are likely erratic and if the black hole is active you would likely die out of high levels of radiation but, eh...

you assume an interstellar black hole was being referred to surprise

Since the query was When you throw money into a black hole in Australia, does it flow down clockwise or counterclockwise?indecision

    it's obviously a terrestrial phenomenon

I won't speculate what exactly  but knowing LG has some kinks (leather, whip etc) I think I know the hole meant devil

usually more brown than black maybe a mine shaft wink

I defer to your superior knowledge of Australian holes. I merely thought your fusion experiments had finally managed to create something that our European scientists in CERN failed to do despite all the doom-mongering at its inception... though in retrospect that might have had some obvious consequences on (and for) earth.

That being said I guess people and things... or at least parts of them, could easily fall into, ah, brown holes and... mine shafts, too, though in this instance I believe the term suck might indeed have some truth to it, too. It's just that I don't usually associate the word money with flow... brown holes or not.

I've figured out how to make the fog go away... try and take a picture of it...

This was pea soup five minutes ago, but by the time I walked back to my car and across the street it was that...

Kinda annoying since the bad drivers drive badder in inclement weather... and this is going back and forth from sunny to fog constantly...

Also it locks the pot fumes in pretty well... skunky weed and "bottom of a crab boat" aren't two great smells that go great together...

Oh, and the pot smell is coming from more or less every fifth or sixth car, because apparently legalizing pot to whatever extent NY has, means you can toke n' drive as high as you like... "but, but, but it's just pot"...  yeah, whatever.

Further complaint... lousy fricken sea-sky rat (seagull) just pooped on the hood of my car...

Well, at least it wasn't inside through the sunroof...

Even though I'm not driving at the moment, and I'm just waiting in a parking lot for my daughter, the weather is really annoying... the fog is not like normal fog... more like random thick smoke blowing slowly by... one minute it's sunny, next it's drifty foggy, then it's clear but thunderstorm level overcast clouds...

Also I'm out of Windex in the car, so that gull poop is probably gonna be crusty by the time I get home.

Well, I sure hope you aren't waiting for your daughter at the harbor or somewhere else close to the sea ... But if you are, try to listen for any kind of skeleton noises in the fog, will ya ...

Edit: Dammit, beregar beat me to it!
