go to the blue man thingummy in the right hand corner, and click change themes.  There is a light them and a dark theme.  The theme works the same on both forum and store.

Where are my little green boxes?

I had more posts when I went to bed.  Got up and I've been marked down to 2600.  Posted once and my total went to 2599.  It may be a long time before I post again.

...that's right, those are gone too.  Yeah I was somewhere around 17,000 posts last I remember..

The formatting is just sloppy.  Stuff runs together, banners exceed the width of the right margin, signatures are often indistinguishable from the main post body unless the post is long enough to push it below the avatar/info block on the left.

Still can't get my flutterbys to show in my sig even though they are there in the signature edit window in my profile settings.

What's worse is the way embedding images now works. (or doesn't)  Using the attach a file you only get a small thumbnail instead of a reasonably viewable image. This is going to hurt min-tutorial posts as one will need to toggle back and forth between the expanded image and the associated text.  The only way around would be for the tutorial's author to submit the image(s) to some gallery site then call it in form the URL via the "Image" button.  Rather clumsy option, and if for some reaoson that site goes down or is closed, the images will disappear from the post.

Copying and pasting are clunky as well as you have to click several times to paste something into a post instead of just once.  The SCAYT option has to be reset every post as well which is another bother (sometimes I also have to reset the language too).

Another thing I don't like is no BBS format. Everything is now HTML (which requires actual programming savvy to use).

As I have said before, any update to a forum should only be done to improve the "user experience", this one definitely doesn't.

What would you put in a post that requires BBCode?  The editor has bold, italics, strike through, numbered and non-numbered lists, indenting, even a link button, an image button, a special character button, smilies button, paste from text, paste from Word.  You couldn't do as much with BBCode as you can with this.  You can even specify whether a link opens in the current window or opens a new window.

As for your "Flutterbys", maybe you need to put images on top, then text underneath...it's worth a look.  I don't know about you, but it seems pretty complete to me.  Spell checker works in Firefox (not Firefox checker, the editor SCAYT checker.  And you can add a word to the dictionary...I just added smilies!

And it's WYSIWYG.  No need to preview before posting.

The reason why KK's signature doesn't show is because KK has managed to put the image as raw base-64 rather than as a link to it. How about this, KK -- attach the image if you reply to me, and then copy the right link off the image after posting it?

Morning. Night giving way to twilight grey as bland and unsatisfying as cold tapioca pudding - sun must be out there in some parallel universe somewhere where it is the middle of summer rather than the depths of winter here indecision

...well you no longer have tags that can be edited as in the previous forum. I could change text attributes like size and colour to get ones not shown in the selections offered .  No longer can that be done.

As I've mentioned it is a real bother to have to keep turning the SCAYT checker on every time you post.  In the previous forums, the FF spell checker was always running. Having to do more clicking to get something done than was required previously is not an "improvement" but a step backwards in user efficiency (which I why I dislike the versions of MS Office after Office2003)

..the file is resident on my system so there is no URL to use.  I have no idea where I got it from as that was years ago and it may no longer even be available.

Also, the issue I have with linked graphics is that they are dependent on the status of the host system. If something goes down or wrong, the image goes away.

You still can. Top row, the rightmost area, is a button which toggles WYSIWYG and HTML code.

Upload the file here. :P To this thread. Right-click, copy image address, and then stick that address -- which means the image is in DAZ's system -- to your signature, properly embedded by magic button click in signature editor.

Well the proposed method does exactly as you wanted it to happen: it is not dependant of external sites, and it is hosted by DAZ. So you can fix it and get butterflies back. :P

posting seems to be working for me IOS8.4 but not doing anything tricky like banners, only thing I noticed different was first view of a thread takes you to the first post instead of wherever the current page is up to. After that it seems fine :)

That's the modern definition of progress. sad  I remember when I could pick up the phone, dial four numbers and be connected to anyone in town. And except for the number dial and receiver "hook" buttons there were no other buttons, dials or switches on the phone. And I could drive nails with the receiver if necessary. The phone company came to your home and wired all the phones for you, inside and out. And the phones worked when the electricity was out.
