I face a very difficult choice! Should I make a bacon sammich, or save bacon for later today, and use it to spice up mashed potatoes?

complaint: Amazon.com took several days to ship my gift.  Grr

complaint #2: the attatchment is not showing up.  I ordered the gift on July 29 but Amazon didn't ship the gift until August 3.  The gift is supposed to arrive on Wednesday.  The package has left the seller facility and is in transit to the carrier in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

    deleted attatchment

Ours Possums look a little tamer, there are ringtails living in our garden trees that look a lot less fierce

...well the meeting went far better than I had expected based on the email.

The main concern fromthe epople helpig me was about the imminent move out I'm facing at the end of the month and what can be done to get me into someplace so I don't end up on the street.  One of the people has been extremely busy as a lot of work was heaped on him (which involves a lot of travel) so he has been away quite a bit, sometimes barely back for a day or two before being sent out again. We sat down and worked out a plan to get things rolling in the right direction.

I also sent emails to a couple people who mentioned they might have room for me to stay temporarily until I can get into a place of my own again.  Am also more leaning towards the early SSI retirement as that would be a certainty even though iot would be less per month than disability (which is a more long drawn out process usually requiring appeals to finally get approved).  So the situation is still serious, but there is a bit light now where there didn't seem to be before.

Again thank you all for the support and good wishes.

huh, or mebbe they are marsupial?  head scr'tch

wowww according to this, the american possum is a marsupial  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_opossum

dunno if is cause i see em at night only, but they creep me out.

next time i meet one, i'll be nicer to it.

double woww - They rarely transmit diseases to humans, and are surprisingly resistant to rabies, mainly because they have lower body temperatures than most placental mammals. In addition, opossums limit the spread of Lyme disease, as they successfully kill off most disease-carrying ticks that feed on them.

I've dealt with angry 'possums before. They make "Angry Birds" look like canaries! surprise  I'm sorry, but I'm not enthusiastic about getting within 20 feet of unrestrained dog sized rats that make a clear statement about wanting to be left alone.  Either trap the damn thing with a proper trap and take it 50 miles into the woods or call someone who knows how to deal with it.

Ozzie possums can be used for yarn which is incredibly soft and has a lovely bloom.  Not so with ratty US possums.  I can't stand the ones we have here.

I am so happy that you see a light at the end of your tunnel, KK.  You've got a plan, now work it for all it's worth.  I started drawing Social Security as soon as I could because something is better than nothing.  Despair and uncert

Great concert Friday night - rocked out, scremed a lot, acted like a teenager! HUGE blast! laugh

Slept until Noon on Saturday, ran around and bought food and stuff.  Sunday.. body aches, fever, ugh.  Caught a Summer flu from someone. In bed all day, then again on Monday.

Today.. doing OK.  Iffy but back in the office.  Managed to clear up a couple of distractions so I can focus on my album and my art!

Breakfast: Atkins protien bar.  Lunch: lean spiced turkey. Dinner, maybe spinach and feta pizza.  The last spinach/feta pizza was great, crisoy thin crust YUM!

Yeah, they are marsupials... But not the tricycle riding type.  If you think they are creepy looking alive, I found a mummified one under my yard tractor this spring... Freaked the hell out of me, because I was pushing the tractor and I looked down as I almost stepped on it... It looked like it was cursing at world when it died... One hand out like it was saying "Damn you all to hell!!  They are very prehistoric looking critters... They do look a lot better if you can manage to get them into Victorian era costumes... But they tend to hiss a lot because all that wool is itchy.

They are very resistant to rabies, I've bitten at least ten of them and not one has gotten rabies.

and they don't get Lyme.  they kill off the ticks trying to feed on them.

i'se not scary enough to make them play dead.  totally dissed me.

Woke last night to sound of thunder... How far off I sat and wondered... Started humming a song from 1962... Ain't funny but a storm was blowing away Port Jefferson...

Yeeza... Crazy storm last night... Not bad here, but North of here the towns got the snot knocked out them... Power is still out for many of them.

Amazing lightning show though... Continuous upper atmosphere lightning, almost a burst every second for about an hour... It was like strobe lights and fireworks.

...Thank you.  Yeah a very busy month ahead. Need to check with the SSA to see If I can to get the early retirement process rolling now as well as find out if that will nullify my disability claim.

The downside is I was self employed a lot (living hand to mouth) or in school, so nothing was paid in during those times.
