Okay, I wanted to try that new suds body suit for Genesis 3 females on Genesis 3 men from Rendo by Powerage. I thought it was a clever idea. For the most part I think it turned out. One thing that I didn't care for is the way the soap looks on the back. It kind of casts a shadow and stands up too much. Not sure if it me, or my lighting or the pose. At any rate, I left some of it alone, and photoshopped out the rest. The set includes the bathtub and the sponge... Deviney's products were useful to touch up the rest of the image. I was pleased with the end result.
After a few days spent puppy proofing the backyard, it's time to sit and have a break. On hot days, when you're wearing a plastic suit, the mesh side panels provide some cool.
@Butch LOL. Is the new puppy giving you guys problems? :) I'd say that mesh is more than just side panels! He looks plumb tuckered out, though! :) Nice render.
Yes, I think it turned out pretty well.
The bubbles on his back, is it a geoshell? Would it be possible to move the bubbles slightly under the skin and add smoothing? Or, is it possible to turn their shadows off? I still reckon it looks pretty good, though.
LOL. I like this one. He's cute and does look plumb tuckered out.
@Knittingmommy - he's only 10 weeks old. He'll be giving us problems for a while longer But, thankyou!
@Serene Night - Thanks
That is nice.
If the soap is a geoshell, I'd try reducing the Mesh Offset in the Parameters pane, to bring it closer to his skin. I think that will reduce the shadowing and reduce the impression that the soap is standing a bit away from his skin surface. A Touch of Dirt uses geoshells, and the Mesh Offset is very very small. Try reducing it a lot and work back up if the tiny offset doesn't look right. You could also play with other surface settings of the geoshell, like opacity, translucence, or refraction. (I don't own this, so I don't know what shader is used on the soap, so I don't know what channels are available to tweak.)
good suggestions, thanks barbult. I will try that and see how it looks. I haven't messed with those settings. i do wish the sponge had a "squeeze" morph though as well. :-)
I seesaw back and forth between 3DL and Iray. The lighting might not agree with folks here, but was attempting that 'torchlit inn' look.
Generally I like sticking to AoA Ambient and a spotlight or distant light, although I might be oversimplifying, given what a lot of folks say about lighting in 3DL. Still, I like the look...
And now for something completely different....
a little squishy guy ;).
G2M/Smay's Dwarf Creator and Dwarf Clothing. The Study (yes, a moldy oldie) and some furniture from various things.

Love it! Excellent image, very creative!
Nice images guys! I love the bubbles, Serene Night. Unfortunately, I haven't done anything with males of any species in the last few days. I am working on one, though. I did just come from a visit to the gallery, though, and there were 9 images featuring men!!! all on the front page as of just now! And, most of them were really great images! I just love when that happens!
A render I made a weeks ago. I'd had these wings for a good while and never got round to using them, which was a shame as they are spectacularly good. The character is Jurou for Lee 7 with some modifications.
Just wasn't happy with the first iteration.
Cool character! Is he transgender?
The Fireman
Great image, mal3imagery!
@mal3Imagery That's fantastic! AWESOME work! I love the lense flair and the flying embers, really gives a great sense of realism. Stunning image!
What would give you that impression?
Bone structure, eyebrow set, and facial fat distribustion. :) He has high and wide cheek-bones, high arched brows, a high-ish fat distribution in the apples of the cheeks, narrow-ish nose bridge, softer, less prominant, brow. etc. While none of those features by themselves is unique or different, when you put them together it tends to, imo, give a more F2M transgender look to male faces. Which, of course, there isn't anything wrong with. And again, that's just my opinion. :)
I got Ronan yesterday, which is my first male character purchase. Since I don't have any Genesis 3 male morphs I was pretty limited as far as creating a distinctive, personalized, character. However I did have a freebie G3M character that I partially dialed in to make him a more unique character. I kind of liked how he turned out - kind of square jaw, comic book, Captain America type of character. I think it's not bad for my first attempt at making a male character. hehe :)
Well thanks for that.
Hey, guys, kind of dorky of me, but I'm sharing my latest male render. Done in Iray in Linux! I finally got DS working in Linux. I have practically nothing installed for it yet. I basically just installed a minimal amount of product to test it out. It is my first time rendering Ipo, too, from the Kimo 7 bundle. I'm using a sunset HDRI so it is a little redder than I would normally use, but it isn't totally horrendous either. :) I do miss having all of my light sets installed. I'll have to work on that!
Seeing as how I modeled him after my son...who is not...I find it troubling. And that bit about the eyebrows applies to virtually every Genesis 3 Male texture out right now.. and I used Laciticis (how the hell do you spell that) free brows to avoid the fema-brow.
"Sexual dimorphism in human faces" is a topic of many a scientific publication. I've read some; they're kinda vague, however many "metrics" or whatever the investigation uses.
This perception in many cases is largely cultural. Like "beauty", it changes with time and geography.
Nice image :). And wow, really?? I know some people that might want to pick your brain on that Linux install ;). LOL

What I find troubling is you acting like it's an insult.
"And that bit about the eyebrows applies to virtually every Genesis 3 Male texture out right now"
I wasn't talking about the texture, rather the brow ridge/bone structure itself.
Take what I said as in insult if you wish, it was of course never meant to be. I would never consider that an insult, and feel sad for anyone who would. Because you asked, I was giving my honest opinion, as both an artist who studies faces for the past 30 years and as and a person who's meet and befriended several F2M transgender men over the years.
That turned out beautifully! I love the lighting and the monochromatic look! Lovely work, Knittingmommy! :)

No, actually I didn't.
You misread my intent and what I found troubling. I considered it commentary on my efforts, period.
Lets say we drop this now and call it a misunderstanding.
If I had been offended (oh god no one shold ever be offended), I wouldn't have calmly and rationally asked you why.
