Updated skin- adding wrinkles, updated the normals and specs as well as testing my idea with the veins. ;)
Much more subtle. I like.
Dapper, featuring a young Dmitri
Thanks for pointing out the weird ankle. It appears to be oddness with Gianni 7, and no matter how much I moved the ankle we still got some weirdness on that bone. Fortunately, there is photoshop....
Who wouldn't want to wake up to hot man serving coffee! Great image.
These guys look great! Even though I'm not really into the buffy the vampire hunter brow ridge look, I'm going to buy them right now. Would make a fun alien!
Looking GOOD! I'm loving the subtle veins under the skin in the neck area.
Nice, dapper in deed. :)
Oh much better! It's PERFECT now! :D Yay for Photoshop! heheh
What is it about young men and super heroes?
I rather like the low angle of this. it's very dynamic to me.![yes yes](http://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)
Thanks, but I have to give all the credit to Joe LeGecko and his fabulous Director's Cut series, I wish he was still doing those.
I like this- POV, lighting, and thank you for using Dmitri with it!
I agree with the dynamic POV and lighting- great work.
Classy~
DB Suit made in MD :3
Beautiful work with the dynamics.
I agree with Mustakettu85. Great suit and shot.
I am just gonna title this as Smile.
Whao! Cool character. He's had a hard life, eh? Those scars - ouch! Excellent work!
You...pushing me to learn new things... stop IT! :)
Lol
@evilded777 Great images! I like all of them, but I think my favorite was Red!
@mal3Imagery Nice job on the suit! I really like the wrinkle and stretching near the button! So totally realistic!
Thanks @Knittingmommy, Red has kind of captured my imagination. I now know he's romantically involved with a young man named Fuller...but exactly how they met... well, therein lays the tale.
Who's got experience scripting a graphic novel? I need some advice!
Sounds interesting! :) No experience scripting a graphic novel so I'm out there. I look forward to seeing what you do with it, though!
Well reading your poems in that other thread I'm a bit surprised to hear that.
If you mean a story plot ideal well that is tough...since it's a story about a romantic couple maybe make it a challege they have in visiting a foreign country like Korea where they can't even read the sign characters. There are so many possible plots but they are usually incidental to sympathethic characters you root for to be happy and safe.
The story's success will come down to whether you develop the protagonist characters such that your readers like them, the antagonists doesn't actually have to be other characters and if the antagonists are characters they don't have to be hated and evil. E.g. various plots through the years involving Lucy & Ricky, Fred & Ethel, the guys (Fred & Ricky) & the gals (Lucy & Ethel). Often the actual story line plot is quickly forgotten. Most everybody likes Lucy, Ricky, Fred, & Ethel but they can rarely repeat the story plots although they can usually remember a few famous scenes from some of the shows and that they like those characters.
So just develop characters that have personality traits as expressed in those poems and you'll probably have some good stories on hand.
And now I find that DC Comics has/had a hero named Red (see the movies with Bruce Willis... which I still haven't).
Well, if I actually write it, they can send me a cease and desist if they care.
They can't really do anything unless your character looked pretty much exactly like theirs.
Red is a pretty common nickname for anyone with red hair, and has been used time and again in movies and books and, I assume, graphic novels. On top of that, you can't copyright a title. This is from IMDB:"Red is a 2010 American action comedy film inspired by the limited comic book series of the same name..." As nonesuch00 pointed out, as long as the character doesn't look like theirs, you shouldn't have a problem. Even titling your graphic novel "Red" shouldn't be a legal problem, though you might confuse some readers. Something to consider when you do publish...
If you fear that Red as a character name would be too easily confused with the DC Red or countless others that have had that nickname, choose a different nickname that's indicative of having red hair and sounds like a childhood nickname carried to adulthood but less common, something like Sparky. You'll see though, any attempt to be completely original with naming your character will sound artificial and contrived. So Red or Sparky or any common name is fine and you'll have to rely on good story telling which is what you need to be doing anyway.
Thank you! In my head-yes, yes he has. lol
Actually, that wasn't the character's name. It was an acronym for Retired, Extremely Dangerous, as well as a status indicator (his status changes from "green" to "red", although I don't remember what that meant). The comic character's name was Paul Moses, changed to Frank for the film for some odd reason. So you're good to go, on that front anyway.
Thanks for that, I'd probably have discovered that with deeper research. Red was the title of the book, though. And these companies can be very protective of their properties.
