  • There is actually a pose for the kiss included with the Slosh uniform for Gen 2 I believe. Hmmm. I may have to try it at sometime.

Go for it Serene. I'd forgotten about that pose in there smiley

Great renders folks, wish I had time to play :-)

Now Butch you need to do a version of the Kiss ;-)

    http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2007/08/06/nyregion/06kiss.2_span.jpg

Slosh included a pose set for that in his Naval Uniform set - http://www.daz3d.com/naval-uniform-for-genesis-2-male-s

And ... well, I'm not as good as Butch at this sort of thing, but ...

(Larger version with explanatory text available at this link.)

And, honestly, I'd like to see what Butch would do with it, meself!

    Kiss

But, seriously, that's a great render, vwrangler.  I'll let everyone else do "the kiss".  Shore leave has finished and my sailors are headed for exotic foreign ports.  But, for exercise on the ship, they may take dancing lessons wink  Slow slow quick quick slow slow quick quick...

Thanks for the nice forum and gallery comments, too :)

That SO reminds me of an old picture my dad had of some fellow shipmates taken way back in the 70s while onboard ship.  It involved big, burly guys, hula skirts, and coconut bras!  I may have to do a render myself sometime.  :)  I still remember that photo and I still smile every time I think of it some 40 years later!

And now KnittingMommy has reminded me of another 'Coconuts', the funny fellow that did his dance in a grass hula skirt and a coconut bra. laugh

Okay, that pose was really hard. It is designed for a man who is tall 104% and a woman who is 96% and I found that most of the male clothing distorted during such a simple back arch which was a disappointment it really isn't that extreme of a stretch.

EDIT: Here is the updated version. I fixed the color a bit, adjusted skin tone and shading.

  • I love what you did!  That hat falling off was a great idea.  I don't know about mixing those two together, though!  I mean a squid and a jarhead?  (couldn't resist that, old Navy brat!)  That's a recipe for all sorts of trouble!  :)

  • LOL. Opposites attract?  Well, he wasn't going to be a jarhead, but all the other outfits stretched weirdly when I bent him over like that lol. I wanted to make him a doctor or a nurse, or businessman, sadly daz clothing did not comply.   but that is actually the army medical uniform that came with the army uniform.  And he wears glasses too, but they are in his hand. He didn't want them on when he got himself smooched.wink

I swear that looked like the Marine camo!  I can't keep up!  I should have used grunt instead of jarhead since that would apply to either Marine or Arny and then I would have been safe.  :)

  • Oh, you are fine. The army uniform is kind of generic I think so it could really look like anything I imagine, especially with the different color options. =-)

Came up with some skin settings I'm pretty happy with. Jayce skin, mix of Jayce and other morphs. (Jayce is preteen, I 'aged' him up a little)
    Experimenting with some knit stuff.
The boulder to the right and the wood uses my WTP shaders. I would have preferred to use a texture for stuff that close to the camera, but the existing textures were too low resolution.
The terrain uses a two-layer mix shader, based on normals. The actual textures are from TerraDome3, I think.

Meant to say that I like your picture, and your character too.

I also like that handsome guy you use in your renders SereneNight. Wish he was in the store. He would already be in my library.

I like the expression on the lady in your picture, vwrangler. That makes the picture for me.

SereneNight I believe said the brunette character she uses is Gianni 7 and the hair and eyebrows are freebies from Laticis Imagery at Deviant Art (on the brunette fellow). I'm not sure who the blond is in her renders but I think it's Michael 7. I don't have either so I can't check to be sure for you sorry.

I'd actually like to know what vwrangler used to make the comical old lady and the sailor with oriental ancestry. They are good.

Oh, I like that, especially the touch with the hat! And the percentages make sense from what I was working with before; Suleiman was 107% of scale and the other guy is based on Lee 6, who is 95% of scale. I only needed to do small tweaks to make them work together.

The old lady is just Victoria 6 with lots and lots of Aging Morphs. And the sailor is just FW Ja-Long for Lee 6 in Slosh's naval uniform.

@Butch...the Storm troopers body looks soooo real!

@nonesuch00, thanks for reminding me what SereneNight said. Not sure if I ever saw it, or if I just forgot. I'll definitely be checking out the hair.

    Hi: KevinH

Glad you like Owen. You are correct. I actually haven't revealed the dial settings I use to dial him up because I want him to be unique and I use his image to tell his story which I hope to publish someday.  His eyebrows are however from Oh My Brows over at Rendo. His hair is sold here at DAZ and is: Simple Short Haircut.

    Thanks,

    Serene

Um, yeah, I've had those days, but, somehow, they never ended up looking like that!  surprise  Nicely done!  Love how the skin looks!  He might need to work on how he holds his gun.  Is that a gladiator outfit, too!?!  Careful or he might get a complex or something!   He's SO mixed up!  cheeky

Hm ... judging from his location, I'd say Q is up to his old tricks again. devil

Rory the Roman donned the wrong hat, when he visited the Enterprise.  As for being mixed up, I started this render with a ballet dancer.

It's the standard Leo 7 skin, with his normals.  However, it was rendered in "Gold 200" film type, which tends to saturate(?) the colours.  I also used a dash of grain and detail extractor, in NIK Tools.

  • Here's Owen in Chinatown. I think he may be grateful he has a third lung

He looks badass in the suit of armor!
