i'm guessing those are Generation 4 clothing as they are clingier than usual.

It's actually Genesis on a G2M. I could have loosened up the waistcoat a little, but I thought the tight fit worked, as did the looser sleeves (I debated going with VWD to make everything dynamic, but I find stiff conforming clothing sometimes looks more right with thicker/stiffer clothing)

  • @DarwinsMishap  I really hope you don't mind what I did with Scion.  This really wasn't where I had intended on going with him, but I got inspired.  It isn't my normal style of image as far as tone mapping goes, but I liked how it looks.  I think I'm having way too much fun with tone mapping and it probably won't be to everyone's taste, but it made me happy.  There are enough shadows that it took forever and a day to fully render out on my computer.  When I first saw him in the store, all I could see was that black latex makeup and I didn't like it.  Just not my style or something I would go for.  I did like his head morph, though, and I found I did like the other makeups.  I think the one I used is my favorite.  I titled it Scion's Torment in my gallery.

It's gorgeous!  Thank you so much.  I love the tone mapping in this, and the pose and expression are so emotive. Well done, KM.  Well done!

  • @DarwinsMishap  I'm relieved that you like it.  I always worry when I try something new that it won't go over well.  Just because I like it doesn't mean others will.  I really enjoyed working with Scion and I'm very glad that I decided to get him.  I'm pretty sure I'll be using him again because I came up with a story for him while making this image.  The writer in me couldn't resist.  Thank you for the nice complement.

Serene Knight  I really like seeing Owen in that outfit.  You did a great job on that scene behind him and I like your lighting.  Nicely done!

Two newish dial spun characters. Darrin and Paulie. Not super happy with the lighting, but meh.

He looks good! I like the way that shirt opens. He is nicely lighted and I like the realism.

The glowing stripe is a simple Iray emission shader, the hair is all Unshaven 2 shader presets. Everything else is one of my WTP shaders.

More sexy guys! ... or something

The dirt effect is WTP grunge. The shirt and cable were draped with VWD.

Why has he a waterline attached to his temple? i'll say the grunge on the walls, the t-shirt, the bathroom has very good. The skin too if it's WTP2 skin, otherwise it looks sort of hohum or maybe that's his expression and that waterline prejudicing me.

The skin is Michael 5 (Phillip) unshaven.

And it's not a waterline, it's a cyber cable (or meant to be).

It took me a bit to track down where the heck that popped from: http://www.daz3d.com/artemisx-for-genesis

It's annoying because the product only has a single promo pic, and you likely wouldn't notice that it's in the included list.

The 'cable' comes from : http://www.daz3d.com/industrial-pneumatic-tools

As it was one of the few 'long posable' tubes I had, though I ran it through VWD to get it to drape nicely. I was happy that the tube stayed pretty solid while draping; I wasn't sure how well rigidity would maintain the shape AND let it lay appropriately.

Nicely done! And creative too. Yeah, finding posable cables and cords is a challenge.  I like your sci-fi renders. =-)

Well the dirt was nicely done. I imagine I will need to buy similar lines soon for the tankless water heater I'm going to buy.

And today I bought an pipewrench and did my own 1st honest to goodness plumbing repair! $200 instant savings! But it's not going to the DAZ Store. wink

lol... If that were me, I'd have to do the plumbing to save money, because I already spent it all at DAZ!

  • Great! Those look awesome. Hmm. Not sure why the other render looks thin, maybe it is the side view. At any rate. Those are perfect. Like the shape too, they aren't really arched which is good, just normal. Good work.

PS: I must say that I admire how well you do tatooos. You really have a knack for it. =)

  • Thanks so much!  I get a lot of inspiration from people I know and ink books that I have around the house and online.

LOL, that's me too, if you include gardening supplies and buying all the bathroom fixtures and tiles and other home improvement products. I have no choice but to learn those DIY thing now. Ugh, it won't become my hobby like DAZ though.surprise

Nice render, those tats are awesome. I tried designing my own for real and many years later am left with a tatoo on my upper arm that has people thinking a leech has gotten on my arm when I swim. laugh

    Such a cool tat!  Sweet!

Yeah, I think I'm in love!!! He is definitely finding a way into my library!  Nice work!  I love those brows, too!

  • lol nonesuch00!  I had designed one in high school, but couldn't afford to get it done. So, I sold it for a couple hundred bucks to the tattoo artist for his shop.  And thank you!

Thank you, too, Knittingmommy! I do appreciate that a great deal.
