Thanks, @nonesuch00 ! :D I was going for 'gold statue', like a museum piece. I like that description - "zen". :) He does make me feel a bit serene.

OK, here's an image that doesn't rely on the viewers imagination angel        Sometimes, making clothes dynamic has unexpected results!!

It's Tuesday in a few minutes, so I'm out of here.

Nice work Butchsl... but not those green slippers though. :D

I got too much content in the sale, and wanted to try out Scion from Darwin's Mishap. Crows kinda popped in somewhere half way.

Ooooo, I love that one.  Dark and very cool.  Love the illuminated wings.

I think the crows kind of help sell the mood.  I love the expression on his face.  Very nice!  Cool wings, too!  :)

edit: oops, looks like I kind of forgot an important word.  :)

  • Oh that is wicked cool! I love the firey wings!

  • Thank you RAMWolff, Knittingmommy and zombietaggerung. I really love those wings, they're from mindnight_stories and can apparantly be used as a light source here. The rest of the lighting is Sun-Sky environment sat at 20:00 evening time.

  • Very freakin' cool-love this!  Between the pose of Scion and the birds in that setting certainly begs for a story to be put with it.

  • That time of year again.  Here's one I'm working on...

I redid the dress texture, not sure if it's very good...

Looks good, @darwinmishaps. A little frightening prehaps, but maybe that's what you meant by..."It's that time of year again." So what's the story behind his appearance? And his bloody mouth.

I did buy your figure, William. I'm glad you include regular textures too!

Just found my gallery and added a few pix, including my latest. "Demon Dreams". Story to go with:

DEMON DREAMS #1: "You Sexy Devil, You!"

It was a sweet gig. Sure, the atmosphere was a little different -- okay, a *lot* different -- than what he was used to and so was the crowd. The stage, well. Did they really believe his home looked like that? And what was up with all those oddly carved gourds all over the place? Humans sure were funny.

But the pay was good and so were the tips, though he really didn't need money. He had a place of his own, small but tidy and in a good part of town. The occasional visits from his sister and a couple of fat, sassy cats to keep him company. Anything else he might have wanted he could just conjure up. Except food, *real* food. That he could only find in a place like this, where the humans were practically throwing it away every night like the skins of those long yellow fruits they called bananas. So every night he prettied himself up -- he was rather plain by his own people's standards -- and danced for his dinner at the Club Diablo.

He strutted and prowled like a hunting feline. One in search of a mate, not prey. It never failed to get the audience's attention and they showed their appreciation by showering him with money and pheromones. He never did more than flirt but that was enough to garner the energy he needed simply to survive and which these young humans had in excess. His performance gave them pleasure and they in turn gave him sustenance while seeking their own pleasure, either by themselves or with companions. Everyone got what they wanted out of it and everyone went home happy.

Except for a couple of prune-faced old farts lurking about in the shadows outside the club, shaking their fists and hurling nasty insults even as they leered at him and the other dancers. All the while giving off the kind of vibes that if he were human would have made him lose his lunch. Prudes. Honest to goodness, holier than thou, butter-wouldn't-melt-in-their-mouths hypocrites, that's what they were. And as his Uncle Belial often said, there ain't NO pleasing any of that bunch.

    **************

    Production Notes:

Made on a Daz Michael 4 modded to use V4 maps & morphs, the character is customized up the ying-yang and I have no idea exactly which packs I threw in there to make the body. I do know his face is a blend of two Victoria 4 characters with some additional help from CDI Morpheus. I took HeRaZa's M4 Christian Skin into photoshop and lightened it, then ran it thru Texture Converter 2. Borrowed the eyes from another set because they suited him better, then got him properly kitted out when he told me he wanted to go dancing. Luckily this time he had no need to borrow Vicky's boots. The background I got from a freebie pack labelled jezyhalloween2008, if they're still around the Poserverse I'd like to say "thanks, very cool". Lights are from 7 Deadly Sins Bundle at Rendo. I seem to be using those a lot lately, they're very easy to work with and even I can't screw 'em up ... much.

Rendered in PoserPro 2014, postworked to hell and back in Photoshop CS2. Happy Halloween!

Thank you, and yup- that's what I meant. :)  As for the story- I try to leave that to the viewer; believe me, there is one in my head, but my head can be a scary place at times.

And thank you again-I appreciate that a great deal!

With all the Egyptian Freebies we've been given lately, I wanted to try an Egyptian type render. Little did I Realize how hard it would be to fit the crown on Dash's head and to find a loincloth for Pharaoh to wear!

I used the original David in this, mostly because he was the only character I had a foot ball uniform for. And the clothes back then didn't autofit (as far as I know).

When I last looked in this thread, there weren't this many new pics.  They're all positively marvellous, too laugh

Here's the most uncomfortable pair of pants ever made.

Ouch! The wedgie from Hell. Deliberate or did autofit go wrong? Cute couple, btw. I really need to do more couples, I just can't get them looking cute.

Alas, it's the way they're designed.  But, when I need a wedgie on my models, it never happens.  You must admit, though, it certainly takes the imagination out of standing behind him, doesn't it?

  • Great images everyone!  So, my computer had some trauma and I lost Windows.  I ended up doing something drastic and dumping Windows completely.  I had one of the flakiest upgrades to Windows 10 and I hated it anyway so I'm not really sorry to kiss it goodbye.  I'm back in Linux and getting everything set up.  It took awhile, but I have all of my DS files transferred to my new HD and things seem to be working for the most part.  I still have a few things to work on, but I can render again.  I thought I'd share my first render with the new setup.  Nothing earth shattering as it was just a basic image to test everything out.  Dmitri by DarwinsMishap.

He certainly did a good with his ironing :)   For a test render, it's really quite a good.

Thanks, I was happy with it.  What made me happier is that rendering seems to be quicking in Linux than in Windows on my system.  Since I render CPU only, I'll take any boost in speed that I can get.  :)

This is an older one with some REALLY old content (The Adventurers clothes for Michael 2).  This was just a test when I first got Garibaldi hair.
