I was curious what a male character who was equal parts Michael 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 would look like. Here he is, slightly beefed up muscle tone and slight changes to make his face less symmetrical.

The skin is Morris's Gunner, hair is Smay's Stalker Girl using IDG's iray hair shaders. No post work.

Hmmm... Michael incest works for me. winkcheeky

    ha, thanks

Would also have to be a universe where your Michaels can get each other pregnant ... or else they've perfected the art of DNA splicing and cloning and have totally eliminated all those flawed Vickies prancing around in their temples with nothing only swords from the gene pool. wink

Thanks Kevin! I put the original one back up in the gallery, since I've got several comments telling me they were sorry it was gone. I just thought it was a touch vibrant. I have a tendency to really like vibrant images. Glad you liked it. =-)

This is what happens when you spend too much time looking at Sargent paintings kids.

Just kidding, there's no such thing as spending too much time looking at Sargent paintings.

I have to say, my gents really look like they would get beat up by all the other men in this thread... also by most of the women I render

I'm a little sad that I couldn't figure out a camera angle with his face the same angle, but his hand also in the shot, (well I could but such a shot would also include his nether reigons, and I couldn't really post it then) At some point I'm going to have to get a deviantart gallery or some such, and my first new render there will definitely include male nudity, although, odds are it will be either greek statue or egon schiele insprired, so I'm not sure how much anyone will enjoy said nudity.

Also, I need to start using more skins besides Gianni's, But its so lovely pale and hairless :( Art history doesn't have a lot of bodyhair

J cade! that is an outstanding render. I said so in the gallery but very nicely done!

Not by all =) They'd get along well with my elf-kin folks from the beginning of the thread, I think.

And I see the gallery description says you used Garibaldi for the hair - great work, especially given that you were likely not using native RiCurves!

Wow, such a good looking character! It looks like a painting! :O Did you use a filter or something? Such a smooth render <3

@mustakettu The mesh conversion works fine... for short hair. Anything too much more complex and the .obj sizes start getting ugly, I'm slowly working on a workflow to get blender hair exporting out as well, it has some options that should get the mesh sizes down for longer hair.

@taemium the smooth look is mostly my relentless abuse of Photoshops Camera Raw filter, in particular its noise reduction feature. Usually it needs to be used sparingly as it can kill detail, but as i was going for smooth and painty I turned it way up

Oh yeah and I forgot to respond earlier @nonesuch the one hair is made in garabaldi, but the one in the fresco and chiaroscuro renders is Tyler hair, which you probably have since it was part of the teen ryan bundle

This is Parker, coming soon for Lucian. DarwinsMishap has a thread on him over in Art Studio section. I'm showing him Western, D.M posted him as a pirate (well, close to it) For you folks who want brow options, this is going to be a wonderful man. He has three different ones.

Oh, well no, I don't have the Ryan bundle but I have considered buying the Girabaldi as a faster way to make layered hair with transparency maps so thank you.

So I'm on a bit of a male render bender here, I blame all of you ;)

I'm not entirely satisfied with this one, I expended so much effort making his nose properly aquiline, and its barely noticeable from this angle :( Also, does anyone have any recommendations for some more recent curly male mops? whilst I do still love Digital Curlz, its starting to show its age a bit. I couldn't quite get the hair satisfyingly jewfro-ish enough

But hey at least I'm finally using a skin texture that's not Gianni!
