  • @luci45  Your Dylan looks fantastic!

@DarwinsMishap  Great render.  I definitely don't think I would want to cross him.  He looks intense and has those sharp pointy things.  :)

@Byrdie  You aren't the only one.  I did NOT like the look of that hair in any of the promos, but if luci45's render had been one of the promos, I would have bought it.

Okay, I re-uploaded it. I had accidentally rendered with the wrong bike morph. Whoopsie

It's Sunday night, so it must be bath night.  I think I managed to get Dylans eyebrows surprise and scraggly beard to work ok.  It's not Dylans skin, I might add.

@luci45   I'm a tad envious of your Dylan.

Oh geez. I'm kind of glad your guys aren't for sale in the store - I'd go broke buying them all. lol Oh who am I kidding - I SO WISH your guys were for sale! :D

@divamakeup  Thankyou laugh  The most important dials are stocky, big nose, big ears, fat lips and delete all the skinny, sinewy super model stuff.

Thanks for the tips. I see there's an update for the Genesis 8 Male starter essientials, here's hoping I can get autofit working better on him now.

Excellent suggestions. I'm going to see if I can dial spin a character that looks like one of yours. Your guys make me swoon! heheh :D I'm really good at making female characters, but suck at making male characters.

Thanks for the kind words for my Dylan render.

Yes, the Agent Hair is great - the promos do not do it justice. I had a problem autofitting it to G8M though, ended up just parenting it to the head and tweaking the size a bit.

I spent some time in Zbrush and tried to do a G8F morph based on your suggestions (at much as I could):

He's still not nearly as sexy as your guys. Any suggestions?

@divamakeup  He still looks good, though.  Do you have "bodybuilder" in there?  Try it without and, possibly, add a bit of "body size".

It's not easy to describe, but I've aimed for someone who goes to the gym to get fitter, but doesn't want huge muscles and a six pack

This came out of a silly discussion with a friend about the angel in Midnight Texas destroying his sweaters. Of course he sews them up when he goes home laugh

It's the wings. They'll wreck your wardrobe every time you change. Same goes for tails. Why does nobody in the fashion industry ever consider wings and tails? Not to mention the plight of the tentacled ... just you try stuffing all eight arms into a stylish sweater without tangling yourself up in knots. Discrimination of the worse kind! Non-humans want nice clothes too.

Knittingmommy, yes, another It's Raining Men contest would be awesome. I am never tired of rendering men.

Here is Dylan for M8. He's got great skin, eyelashes, eyes, modeling. One of Raiya's best.

    This is very nice!

I love that hair on him, but I don't recognize it. Which hair is it?

Great work. A lot of people produce good portraits, however a totally believable portrait such as this is relatively rare. I believe that is agent hair, a great product.

No to mention furniture designers that don't take wings and tails into account so they don't have to sit on a box wink

That's okay.  I think that picture says it all.  :)

  • Funny thing, I have a character named Corbin who matches a (tweaked) version of the model Corbin.

    "Shaved!"

Larger version and story to go with will be posted in my gallery. A big thank-you to Daz_Ann for assisting with his "wardrobe malfunction".

Thanks, Butch! I don't have the time to tweak his shape just now, but I'll keep your suggestions in mind. :)

Any chance you might share the shape of one of your guys (if they are "dial spun")? If they are custom morphs, then I understand if you don't want to share. :)

Personally I'd describe the body type as "works out but also likes beer" or, since I think of all remotely muscular body types in terms of similar hockey players, Alex Ovechkin-esque

This is great - sadly the "thread" kind of ruins the realism. What program are you using for post work? If you have photoshop, try using a softer brush. I recommend using the Pen tool to create a curved path then "stroke" the path with a small soft brush. I did a quick mod to show you what I mean (I hope you don't mind):

Very nice evocative piece. Love the dust motes floating in the lens flare atmospheric effect.
