  • I just wish they had increased the price. We get too much for free. The Premier should be 100$ a month. Daz has the best render engine of any engine on the market. Its soo streamlined and beats Unreal. This is a FaNtAsTiC offer. Thank you Daz! heart

I haven't seen anything about the tokens offering lower discounts, you just get more and they last longer now (2 weeks).  I didn't even realize the longer extension until I added something to my cart.  It looks like right now everyone also gets double the tokens on the new releases (unless is a super secret Premier perk I have right now).  With just one item at $10.77 you get 4 tokens.  And the 2 tokens you can see I have available will get me an extra 13% off.  If you really buy anything on a regular basis, it's worth it.  More tokens with much MUCH more flexibility is a win/win.  Then you add the free bundle each month.  THEN you add the better monthly coupons that replace the Daz + tier.

By the way, those tokens were acquired yesterday so I'm not sure if it reset the expiration date or it was longer, but 2 weeks is a huge improvement-I have felt the need to decide whether or not to spend my tokens or let them expire and it's caused me to justify spending more than I probably needed to.

If you're Premier member, you get tokens every $5 instead of old $10 (which is now Daz+ level; non-members get them every $15 now), and today is double token day (as per banner on the store's main page), so a $10 will get you 4 tokens. Nothing secret about it :)

Oh!  I didn't even see that advertised.  Does this mean the 2 week timeframe is just for today, or is that how tokens will be going forward?

I believe you only get credit for what you actually paid.

People are saying the Premier software features are all plugins you could buy today. Is there already one to export DAZ characters re-rigged with Mixamo rigs? Which is it?

If not, how easy is it to "churn" Preimier? Will I be able to cancel myself, or is it a "contact support and hope they respond before the renewal date" kind of thing?

I could see myself subscribing for a month (next year after my DAZ+ expires) in order to make some use of the Premier software features, but I wouldn't want to pay $20/month for more than 1 month at a time.

Only this as far as I'm aware, https://www.daz3d.com/mixamo-rigged-genesis-9-character

It should not matter what we paid...

If DAZ+ is now $9.99 a month, then each month we have remaining is valued at $9.99.

If we are not being given the full value of our subscription, then it's a BAD DEAL!

    Agree 1000%

According to the tokens page, tokens now have two weeks expiry date. There's no note of it being a temporary thing, but whether it'll last (Daz has changed tokens around in the past, including completely removing them for a time being), it remains to be seen.

pity they don't factor in the ownership of the items that now apparently come free with the subscription. Some of us bought the head and body morph sets for each generation, so getting those for free doesn't really make for a reason to subscribe. but clearly the offer was designed by the accounting department to offer the least possible.

What I would like to know is how Daz figured out the personalized "special offers" for premier membership upgrade. I have Daz+ membership paid up until July 7, 2026. They are offering me 3 months free for the Premier membership if I upgrade. It shows that the value of my current Daz+ membership is $9.99 a month. That's half the cost of the new membership. So by my reckoning with 21 months left, I should be offered at least 10 months free and with added incentive a year free. I am not going to throw all that money down the drain without fair compensation if I did decide to switch.

They said they calculate by how much you actually paid for it. So if you got a good deal buying DAZ+, then you aren't going to get one now.

Thank you for explaining. However penalizing someone for taking advantage of a sale so you can spend even more makes no sense if they want to convince people to switch to the new Premier subscription. Especially if you are not offering a reduced rate for buying yearly. Costs have gone up so much on everything and having to pay exchange on top means that this would cost me close to $30 CDN. I don't begrudge the PAs their costs as I know everyone has bills but if I am paying that cost for a monthly subscription I have less money to spend on content. And this is just a hobby for me and one that I am currently not spending as much time on.

No matter how they calculate it, the offer in theory should be attractive in comparison to what we have, because no one in their right mind will go for an offer that is "lose that great deal you got and pay us more from now on", namely: why would I give up my 8 months of Daz+ perks left (so monthly coupons alone are worth $96 for me), to get one month of some extra perks (not even that many since it's still only 2 Daz coupons) that will save me $20, after which I either will have to pay $10/month to maintain my Daz+ level of perks for the remainder of my pre-existing membership period, so a total of $70, or keep paying $20/month?

I'm failing at math here to figure out how it's supposed to be attractive to me and rope me into paying two tenners a month even if I was remotely interested in doing so.

Is that on the checkout page?

Did you use the Connect menu to log in? You can choose the option not to update metadata if you don't want it grabbing a list of your content (though the chnage log shows they have worked on better handling conflicts between user data - categories etc - and store data) but you won't see the subscriber content then (you will still be able to access your other content, including a free bundle if you have used that, through DIM).

FWIW, this all reminds me of when they attempted to make people pay for Daz STudio Pro. Everyone went ballistic and soon enough they revised their plan. I plan to wait a bit because the company has no way to know whether customers will jump all over this or say, meh, not for me. I personally want to see what exactly these new premier options in DS are before even thinking about this kind of increase. The bigger issue is whether I will keep daz+. 120 a year? doubt it.

I got my annual DAZ+ membership at a good rate and am set till mid-2027. I'm just going to stick with that till then. Premier doesn't make much sense for me (even before considering the offer of 3 months Premier for the 32 months or so of DAZ+ that I still have remaining...??) It's probably much more useful to those newer to DAZ without a sizable library of purchases.

I already have a lot of legacy stuff and an embarassing amount of the G3 to G9 pro bundles, so some of the Premier perks won't really make a difference for me. There's a whole universe of things I can do with what I've got, and I should really focus on doing those things. Love love love DAZ, but this may be a good time really for me to shop less and render more...

    Has this been asked:

Apparently a lot of the "new" plugins in DAZ Studio Premier are from ManFriday and have been available earlier.

I do have (the old) MeshGrabber for Mac but I was never able to get RenderQueue or dForce Companion as those are Windows only.

Now: Is DAZ Studio Premier completely cross-platform with all the plugins or are Mac users missing out on something?

The first screenshot was from the Payment Methods page (which only shows setting up a CC).

The second screenshot was when I tried to set up Auto Renewal on my subscription, and then it shows PayPal as an option and promptly gives me an error.

Yeah, I think if there isn't a better offer in the next two days, my only reason to go Premier would be to run out the subscription faster so I can wash my hands of Daz, this Premier offer is just so insulting and such a poorly thought-out decision I'm questioning if there's any point in staying a customer here.

I'm no marketing expert but at a time when the market is being flooded with AI and Game Engine alternatives for creatives, DAZ seems to be actually pushing us in those diirections. Blender is also getting more attractive with each new release. I've been playing with using characters from my DAZ Studio scenes as inputs for Flux AI and Stable Diffusion and I'm having fun doing so. All strictly personal use - nothing commercial - so mostly for free. And I'm a complete novice - I could spend the next six months learning more about these AI features and find a lot of creative directions that I presently have no clue about. I guess we shall see how much DAZ users are wedded to this software and content  over the next few months.

Which is, frankly, an absolutely absurd position to take as those people bought those subscriptions based upon how many months that they would be getting, while the lowered prices that they paid were set by DAZ itself with the promise that a service would be provided.  All this tactic is accomplishing is DAZ effectively shooting its own reputation in the foot by trying to claw back discounts that DAZ has already been paid for under terms that DAZ itself set.

So a 70% increase in the yearly price of Daz+ membership with no corresponding change to the coupon values? Gee, thanks.

Actually, it is an increase to:

    - Plugins more tightly integrated, and some available only through Premier

    - Better coupon each month

    - A free Character Bundle Each month

    - Free Premier Exclusive content (other users can't even buy it) for free each time we release a Character Bundle (Even if you don't buy the bundle!)

    - Tokens at a much faster rate (and they last longer now)

Premier, you mean? Daz+ looks the same to me, but now costs 40% more.

I keep trying and failing to wrap my head around it.

At a time when current Daz+ members are logging in to this forum and saying "Daz, things in the store keep getting more expensive, why aren't the monthly coupons scaling to match?" and "I'm not sure I'm going to renew my Daz+ membership, it doesn't seem to be worth it," Daz's solution is to... raise the cost of Daz+.

And not a little raise, something palatable like an extra $10 a year, something to keep pace with inflation... no, it's a massive $50 price hike, nearly doubled in cost.

I honestly don't see any point or reason for it other than "because we can."

I thought Daz was better than that.

Hahaha you know your right, after reading thru a couple of forums Ive seen 0 "happy" posts I know they want/need more $$ and honetly just rasing the price a reasonable amount would have sat well with me and others but this......just doesnt sit well.

Better export and sculpting plugins look tempting, but I don't need new characters, especially not G9 characters.
No, I don't want to pay more on subscription to unlock software features.

Indeed.  It should be noted that when DAZ tried to add a paid-premium tier to DS4, it was less than half a year before they did a complete turnaround and went to making not just the top-line DS4, but all of their then current software, free of charge.   Honestly, I don't mind paying for subscriptions when I think I'm getting real value for them, but what DAZ seems to be offering for the price increase is mostly product that I already have.
