The cloud stuff is if it was installed via connect or smart content. If you only did a manual install you would not have cloud files. If you did a manual install, use content library to activate the script. It might not appear in smart content unless install via connect.
Copy the contents inside the product folder to your library. EG copy People and Runtime and overwrite those folders inside your content library or whatever it is called. If they are copied to any other structure it will not work. EG some users place "My library" inside Content, basically making a duplicate content structure that Studio is not mapped to read. So browse to your content folder, copy the contents inside the product, and overwrite to yours. It will add the product to the relative folders inside your content structure. Just make sure people goes to people and textures go to textures.
First of all thanks!
For some reason it is always going to the "cloud" file for textures. that file has them. I have done as you instructed and all files are in their proper place but another set is in cloud.
Yes it won't do any harm if you have the manual install. The product just might not show up in smart content. Just use content library to navigate and it will be there.

It shows in smart content, when i select it, it asks if I want to save my image and then says application not there. The file path is correct and the exe file is there as you can see.
Question... I am not sure if this is a bug or not related to the product, or my specific system or installed files - but, I don't get the VEINS to work. The sliders does not respond at all. I can ONLY use the default vein settings, i.e. not slide on both FACE and BODY to add more veins. I updated the SB3 with the latest update - but this function is still not working for me. I may try to do a manual installation, but just wanted to check and see if anyone else have encountred this problem, and/or have a potential solution. FYI, I am on MacBook Pro, OS SIerra, and DAZ3D 4.9.3.166 Pro Edition (64-bit). I installed SB3 through the Install Maneger. Other than that, I LOVE the product, which open up a whole new plethora of creative possibilities.
Interesting comparision to the default FaceGen results. Same Shape. Same Lighting and scene settings. Disregarding the obvious eye texture issues, I like the overal settings from FaceGen. Of course it's nowhere near as flexible as SB. I think I may need to look closer at teaking the surface settings on the SkinBuilder version.

Veins only has one option so the sliders are inactive. Sliders only work if there are more than one option. Only slider that works on that is the visibility slider.
I am at my wits end, I really want this to work. I right clicked the icon in content library, it took me to file location which is where it is. as you can see below the path is corect it is like the exe file is corrupt
What are you using to click on the file. Smart Content or Content library?
content library
i dont understand, if I right click it takes me straight to the file. Inside daz the file doesnt work. This was a manual install after I installed it using the install manager and when that did not give me full fuctionality then I installed it within Daz. oth would only give me partial functions, most would say it could not find the mat file.
I somehow got it to start by adding it to the menu bar (dont ask me why that makes a difference) it keeps creating this file in the cloud, about half of the modifications work the other half dont and this file keeps getting created after I delete it.
Those are generated temp files. Part of how the product works. Do not worry about that folder. You only clean it when it gets to big via the script. Looks like the cloud install is still there in a way. Did you try and uninstall the connect version? Maybe we should try that instead of just deleting the files.

I did uninstall it through the Install manager. I will try it within daz

I wish that worked, still creating that file and then trying to locate the texture in that file. It is asking for me to locate it. It is uninstalled from daz. I went to contact and dropped down files in my content until I found it, it runs but the same issue.

I asked about the vein slider earlier. We get to use the default vein settings. The slider is disabled by design.
Load anatomy on figure, build skin, Will apply to both figure and anatomy, save out full skin as preset and under that save out anatomy preset. When you save Full preset the script tells you in order to save anatomy textures you need to use the anatomy preset below.
Thank you for your fast response. I have followed your steps and all is now working perfectly. I love your product. Thank you and your team for making it.
I've been having fun with this product, but I have come up with one question. Is it possible to make light freckles to go on a dark skin? I made a fantasy-style texture that was very dark, and thought that shifting the colors of the freckles to nearly white would make them show up on the dark texture. Instead, they seemed to just go invisible. It happened that way with both the Subsurface version and the Iray version I tried to make. There only seems to be one blend option for freckles, so changing from multiplicative to normal isn't something that I can do.
Is there any way to make white(ish) freckles on a very dark texture work?
No there isn't. I locked the ability to do so on certain details by purpose. By eliminating some options the overlays were not designed to work with (mostly blend type), you eliminate a lot of possible bad results users might experience.
This is my latest entry in the competition, (a small version so y'all know what I'm referring to.)
I used Arabella 7 and removed those odd, high eyebrows from the default skin with Brow Remover for Daz Studio, (way back when Brow Remover first came out!) Arabella has her own UVs which are slightly different than the G3F base UVs. However, once I finished in SB3, the only issue I could find was on the outside seam between the torso and the legs. I went into the Surfaces Editor and changed her UVs to the base female and the seam disappeared.
The point is, though Zev0 can't make any claims, it may be possible to modify the skin materials for many of the base 7th generation female figures. For your own use, of course. YMMV, but I think Arabella turned out very nice.
Arabella skin is (probably) my favourite; I like the morphs too. Only had time for two quick characters so far. Neither I particularly liked, which was down to me not the product.
On my computer, for example, the [path to:] is "C:\Users\Public\Documents\"... Assuming you used DIM to install Daz Studio, and didn't make any modifications, that is probably the correct path for you as well.
While it isn't particularly convenient, you can locate files via DIM by going to the Installed tab, entering a filter word in the search field, (I used skin,) and locate the product. Click on the product name to highlight the line all the way across, (not required but can make the next step easier if there are a lot of products still listed. Click on the teeny-tiny arrow at the far right of the line, just past the button to Uninstall, and select "Show Installed Files" A window will popup with all the files for the product listed. Scroll down until you find the documents you are looking for, usually in pdf format. Unfortunately, there isn't a filter for the file list. In most cases, each item in the list is also a link to the file. Clicking on it will bring you to the folder with that file highlighted.
Hope this helps.
Edited to Add: The small circled "i" on that line can also be clicked on, and usually takes you to the product document page online, where you should also be able to find the file list, or a link to the list.

Is that the script from the manual install? What happens when you click on the script? Does your log say anything?
i dont speak log, here it is
"could not open file......file does not exist"
What are you using to click on the file. Smart Content or Content library?
content library

We will have to go through your logs to see what is going on with your install. A manual install should work and not give any issues.

Manual install shouldn't create the temp files in the cloud. That is what's confusing me.

I am sorry I am a headache
We will figure it out once we review the logs.
